That is perfect for those hot summer late mornings. Riderwood Hills Park consists of five parts. First, there is a baseball/softball field with lots of green space. I see lots of dogs being walked/run through here. To the left of that is a small paved bridge that crosses a wooded stream (this is the second area). It can be fun to make your way down to the stream and explore the rocks, plants and small creatures you find. The playground area is next. There is a whole climbing area for kids to go up, go under and slide down. There is a small zip line and some monkey bars. There are also a lot of swings both those designed for younger kids and those for older ones. The final two areas are two full court basketball courts that appear to be in good shape and a small covered pavilion. The park also has quite a few benches and some picnic tables. So why only three stars? Mainly because there aren't a lot of kids that are at this park. Maybe it is when we go but my kids have a much easier time finding kids their age at other parks.

Towson Manor Park consists of two play areas. One is located at higher ground, one at lower. A…read moreslide joins the two. The park also includes a large grassy area and a sandbox loaded with sand toys. Towson Manor includes at least four slides ( I should've counted for precision), six swings (three designed for little kids, two for bigger kids and a buckle in one), a large rope area with various balancing activities and a central contraption that incorporates ropes and spinning. The higher level of the park seems to be geared towards older kids (say five and up) and this is definitely the better portion of the park. The under five section seemed a bit underwhelming. There was a lot of shade, a few benches to sit on and some very climbable trees. Pets are allowed at the park as long as they are leashed. I did not see any bags for poop collection so make sure you bring your own. There is limited parking, like six or seven spaces. Because of that the park says to only park on their premises for an hour. The only thing keeping Towson Manor from rating higher is the lack of bathrooms.

There were several 2/3 yr olds but the kids 10 and older were very wild and knocking them over. There were kids riding bikes on the playground into children. They were old enough to know better and the parents knew better. I saw a boy thrust kick a 4yr lil girl in her back as she was adjusting to get off the bottom of the slide and yelled MOVE to her. Come to find out they were not together. Her Dad was very upset and so dis another Dad see it and was alarmed and said something. I would suggest to go elsewhere with your kids unless you want to box it out with parents or kids. Save the kiddies from being hurt. Its nice but the traffic it brings in isnt a mix.

My daughter loves coming to the playground and frequently asked to go to the new Ravens park as she calls it. The playground has so many fun things for the kids to do. There are also a few pavilions to use for gatherings. There are a few Port A Potty available and full restrooms near the football fields. There is also a walking trail near the pavilions near the baseball fields. There is typically an Ice Cream Truck stationed in the parking lot especially on hot days. Parking is spacious and plentiful. Will definitely return and I love the newly added playground.

We've been a few times and the space is always clean and quiet. There are a few trashcans around, so I recommend bringing an extra bag to tie up trash in since trash cans are few. There's a small lot designated for the park and free on-street parking. The tot lot has a playground and swings. Nothing fancy, but serves its purpose. I haven't seen this area overly crowded. Good option to not fight crowds and a range of age groups. There are no restrooms.

There is plenty of parking for a intimate event or family gathering. Overall, this is a cute little park that offers nature close to the city. Fyi: the rocks can be slippery when wet so wear sturdy shoes or hiking sandals.

For this reason, it feels very safe since there are houses and people around not too far from the middle of this park. Very good parking lot and clear map when you enter. Playgrounds and covered pavilion/picnic areas too! Even though it is small, there are a lot of trail options, you can mix and match them and make it as short or long as you want. Last time I was there I did a mixture of the inner and outer trails and it was just under 2 miles. The trails are not marked well, they are a little confusing and I get turned around every time I go there, and I am pretty good with directions! Make sure to take a picture of the map before you enter! Overall it is a very easy hike though, not a lot of steep inclines. The best part about it though is the water. It is known for the rocks obviously and small waterfalls. It is very peaceful and pretty. Someone made chairs out of tree branches at one point in the trail, that was kind of cool!

There is a huge covered pavilion. It doesn't have its own picnic tables but it does have a lot of space. There is a full jungle gym with two slides and climbing area, a swing set (with toddler and big kid swings), and a separate climbing area. All of these areas have the recycled tire rubber mulch. The whole park area is large and fully-fenced. Unfortunately there is only rubber mulch in the playground equipment areas and the rest is cement, causing a few boo boos with running toddlers. Our only other issue with this park is that there is a baby pool that is no longer filled with water. While it can be fun to kick a ball around inside, it can also be a fall hazard with the littles. Overall though it's a really nice park with good security and not too close to any busy streets. Definitely worth stopping by to make new friends.

It is not a playground where you can park and eat a lunch and let your child play at their leisure. But, if your child really wants to play and you live on the city side of the Inner Harbor, this is a good option.
