Prior to his passing, we both decided to seek a different accountant because Andrea consistently increased her fees by approximately $200-$250 each year. As noted in Kathy's review, I experienced the same issue. In 2021, Andrea charged $900. In 2022, despite the minimal work required, she charged $950. Two weeks later, I received an additional bill for $700. After receiving numerous hostile letters from her office threatening to send me to collect, I sought the advice of another accountant. That professional concluded that I had been significantly. Overcharged. I requested an itemized bill detailing the time spent on both years's tax returns, but Andrea was unable to provide one. The only documentation she supplied was a general invoice. She also claimed to have had multiple phone conversations with my father. When I requested the dates and times of those calls, she was unable to provide them. Her justification was that she. Had a sighed contract with my father. When I asked to see a copy of the contract, I was told it had been shredded. Based on these experience, I believe WR & Associates operate in an unprofessional manner. I have forwarded all correspondence with Andrea to both the Better Business Bureau (BBB).and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation DBPR). Additionally, I observed that she has relocated her office three times in the past seven years. Each time she moves, her reviews appear to be erased. This pattern is also evident when examining her Facebook reviews. In summary, my experience with Andrea Newman and WR & Associates has been extremely negative. I found her to lack both integrity and professionalism. She grossly overcharges clients and, when questioned, resorts to threats rather than providing evidence. If you value integrity, transparency, and professional, I strongly recommend avoiding this firm.
