I will try to shorten this review in hopes that every would-be client reads this and has a much better experience than my family did. We were referred to Burgos & Brein to help obtain VA A&A Spousal Benefits for my elderly mother. My sister and I had our initial Zoom with Gaberial Burgos back in Jan 2024 to go over the items on the check list and see if Mom qualified. Gaberial spent an enormous amount of time with GREAT detail on what actions needed to take place in order for Mom to qualify and still stay in her home and receive $1500 a month. In depth instructions were given on how to move money from her account to pay myself, make sure everything is kept separate in case of an audit, on and on......you get the instructions..wink- wink). He continued through the checklist and said mom would definitely qualify. "Our fee is $2000, and we will walk you through the process." After a family discussion we felt that we would have been deceitful and dishonest pursuing this aid, as we felt that Mom did not meet the criteria at this time and we would reach back out when the time came to file. FAST FORWARD TO APRIL 2025...... Mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and is in need of Memory Care. I reached back out to Gaberial and did another Zoom on 4/9/25. (A year and 4 months later). He again assured me that Mom was a qualifying recipient, and I paid him nearly $2000. He said a case manager would contact me and go over the paperwork via Zoom. 3 days later on 4/11/25 Grace and I had a Zoom call, and she discussed all the paperwork that needed to be submitted. We DID NOT get halfway through the list when she asked if Mom had ever been remarried. I answered yes and she immediately said I'm sorry, but she does NOT qualify. I was dumbfounded that this very important part of the initial checklist was NEVER asked nor discussed while I listened to Gaberial's lengthy requirements on 2 DIFFERENT Zoom calls. Had I spent 15 minutes researching the 4 M's of receiving A&A spousal benefits I would have known that Mom did not meet those requirements. That was a very expensive mistake. My Dad died in the line of Duty in 1981 leaving 4 kids under the age of 6. My mom remarried nearly 15 years later for a short time. This disqualified her and we COMPLETLEY understand that. Case closed!! Yet, Gaberial skipped over this required information twice! 3 days after paying nearly $2000 dollars and a heated exchange with Gaberial who did not want to admit any wrongdoing and only wanted to offer $1000 refund, we are more than disappointed with this firm. No refund was issued at all. We hope this review will help others. We will be filling additional complaints with appropriate parties as well to save another family from losing money that is much needed during this very sad chapter of life. PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION BEFORE YOU PAY THIS FIRM FOR ANYTHING!

Primo Management Group (PMG) does not honor the refund policy in my contract with them:…read more "All eligible refunds will be paid within 45 days from the date of cancellation or the date ofexpiration of this 36-month agreement should the timeshare Mortgage, Vacation Membership, Deed, orContract not be cancelled." On April 26, 2023 PMG acknowledged receiving my refund request. On June 13, 2023 the Customer Service Manager (Gabrielle F.) apologized for the delay in processing my refund. It turns out there is an issue with their internal mail server system and PMG only saw my envelope and not the letter inside the envelope requesting the refund. Apparently, it is too much to expect that if PMG sees only an envelope sent certified mail with a clear return name and address that they might reach out to the client to ask her to resend whatever was in the envelope. At that point I realized there was never any real chance that PMG could cancel my timeshare with the poor workflow procedures demonstrated by not following up on known communication issues. On August 9, 2023 I received notice that my account review was complete and my refund was approved. It took PMG 105 days to do this, All that was left to do now was simply notarize the Release Agreement and return it to them. I soon learned that having PMG "approve" my refund and PMG actually issuing a refund check are two very different things. On Sept 1, 2023 PMG acknowledged receiving my fully executed Release Agreement which specifies the refund will be paid in 45 days. Well it is 128 days after they received my Release Agreement and over 200 days since PMG received my refund request letter and I have not received my refund. The reasons PMG give for not issuing my refund check include : Your account is under review We have unforeseen system issues Your check should be sent out a week from Friday (that was October 16, 2023) and I have not yet received my refund.

So I decided to use a different CPA this year 2023 and my new CPA told me that Benjamin Moore never filed my personal taxes right. Therefore I had to pay now the IRS. I told the new CPA that I was supposed to get a refund back for the job he did in October of 2022 but I never did and he then told me that it was because Mr. Moore filed my taxes wrong. I called the office and now he is hiding from the situation. I did talk to his secretary Dawn and she told me that he will mention the issue to Benjamin Moore, but he did not get back to me. So please do not pay this guy any money up front and if your getting a refund back, wait until you get to then pay him for the services. I believe this guy is too old to be doing taxes for someone else. Wait until you meet this character he looks like Cash the singer always dress in black clothes. I believe the ones that are giving him the 5 starts are family members. This guy is a con artist a scammer. Be careful.

I was shown the entire process and had full view of the computer work being inputted. We walked through each step needed, she took her time with my itemizations, and was extremely helpful in explaining each process. I own a business, and she never sugar coated any expectations on my return or what I would owe. That's how it should be. They were very knowledgeable and at one point there was an instance she wasn't completely confident about, so she consulted the other agents and we were comfortable moving forward. I'm so impressed. The building is small and cute. Parking is in the rear. The only unfortunate about this spot is that there's no private rooms that I saw, so you're in a shared space with others.
