However, after negligent and substandard care where an unlicensed clinical psychology intern was allowed to discuss my child's treatment with Dr. Reddy, my child was given the flu vaccine in September of 2025 without consent from my wife or myself. Dr. Reddy's excuse was that the child seemed so mature she forgot to ask us for consent. My child was 13 at this appointment. Connecticut law requires that ALL vaccinations and wellness checkup related care be approved by a parent or legal guardian and Dr. Reddy knowingly bypassed parental consent laws. Do not send your child here.

That being said I have a thyroid condition. And I don't have a thyroid anymore. I was having severe symptoms for years G.I. my heart ovarian Sez. And many many more I had lab work to show that I was going autoimmune I had lab work to show that my thyroid was not regulated. They would not give me referrals to an endocrine or to a G.I. I never knew why. And a few years later sure enough I went full-blown auto immune because of their neglect. It was hard because out there there are not a lot of good quality doctors. I had trouble finding more so I stuck with that. Until I found a hormone Doctor Who I absolutely love and it's not with Middlesex. I love the waiting room at this pediatrician's office. There is a special area for the sick children and tons of toys in both areas. We usually get called in rather quickly and the wait in the room is no longer than I normally expect it to be. Dr. Cue and the rest of the doctors and nurses in this practice make an effort to have a cheerful disposition and respectful approach. This office is very modern and and uses many new technologies. I appreciate all the in office tests they are able to do and get done quickly. We have not had any issues with flu shot shortages here either. This office is always bright, clean, organized, and full of positive energy. We are so extremely happy here.

She was extremely rude and repeatedly cut me off while I was trying to explain the reason for my call. I mentioned that I had been a previous patient of an APRN who worked there years ago. Before I could continue, she abruptly cut me off to say, "We don't do prescriptions here." I replied that I wasn't calling about prescriptions, but she still insisted, in a dismissive tone, "Well, I'm just letting you know because the APRN was able to do that." I repeated that prescriptions were not why I was calling. I explained that I was looking for a PCP with a holistic approach and wanted to know whether my insurance would be compatible, attempted to explain about my insurance. Again, she cut me off, saying, "We're not a PCP and don't sign off on anything for insurance." Once more, this was not what I was asking. I finally had to say, "If you let me explain, I'd appreciate it." But at that point, I told her that if this was the experience I was receiving over the phone, I would take my family and myself elsewhere. This was honestly shocking. I'm sure many of the other employees are wonderful, and I was looking forward to the possibility of becoming a patient again. However, this interaction alone completely changed my mind. Because of her behavior, I will absolutely be looking elsewhere for care.

From the time I called to schedule my appointment until the time I scheduled my next appointment was completely fabulous!! The staff at the desk were SO friendly. Dr. Marie Monticciolo also was so friendly... and knowledgeable...and thorough! She took me into her office first, and went through all of my active diagnoses and medications... then took me across the hall to the exam room and did a full assessment. I needed to make a follow up appointment per her request for something she was concerned about. She gave me some papers I'd need from her to have a few things done like blood work, and I was on my way!! The appointment took about an hour and I sincerely feel positive! She made me extremely comfortable and listened to!! I would highly recommend her to anyone whose looking for a PCP. A+ from office staff to Dr. Marie Monticciolo !!! Both her and her…read morehusband (Richard Monticciolo, MD) run an internal medicine practice where one on one patient care is not seen as an inconvenience but as an integral part of their treatment philosophy. Prior to initiating treatment with Dr. Monticciolo, I was treated with several physicians through Hartford Medical Group. However, I was finding it increasingly hard to get an appointment, and once I did I found that I spent longer in the waiting room than actually having a consult with my physician. Many times I was not even seen by an M.D. but his or her PA. Regardless of who saw me, half the appointment was spent reviewing my medical history before getting to why I was actually there. I felt that I was a co-pay and not a patient and upon that realization I knew it was time for a change. Since I have begun to see Dr. Monticciolo, I have ALWAYS been treated by her. The practice is small (just her and her husband) and there is not a lot of frills to their office. You will not find your medical records stored electronically or fancy diagnostic tools, but what you will find is a doctor that knows her patients, is willing to talk (yes - talk) with them in her office before the examination, and refer you to another physician if she feels it is necessary. My medical records may be handwritten but I know that they have all been meticulously written by Dr. Monticciolo who - from the routine wellness visit to more serious matters - will give me sound medical advice and excellent patient care.

They are both very thorough, and spend whatever time is needed with me to answer any and all questions I have. That said, although the office staff is very friendly and nice, the SYSTEM is BROKEN. Every time I call the office, it goes automatically to Muzak. I'm usually on hold at LEAST 10 minutes. Today it was over 20 minutes. I'm not talking about someone answering and asking me to please hold, then waiting 10-20 minutes. NO! I'm talking about no one even picking up and acknowledging my call for that long. This is inexcusable, when people need to make appointments or in my case, speak to someone about a prescription order that never got to the pharmacy. Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now, and say that the medical care I receive is worth five stars, bumped down one star for the office chaos that also shows when one is in the office.

Awful experience with this group. I knew my issues weren't anything a colonoscopy was going to diagnose and would have declined had he not said it would be submitted for my screening. I now owe thousands for a procedure that I would have never done if I had to pay for it. I called the billing office and the woman was so rude when I explained the situation and was told that the physician knows he cannot do that. I trusted what he told me, not knowing that even if you are due for a screening, it can still be charged otherwise. In addition, I had the procedure in the hospital and they were short staffed and were trying their best but as I sat waiting, everyone could hear the nurse on the phone talking to another floor about Christopher xxxx (she said his full name) and when was the last time he used cocaine so they could determine when he could come down for his colonoscopy, completely breaching patient confidentiality. Their office staff also accidentally called me to tell me that my insurance wasn't going to cover a prescription and when I told the woman that I don't think I had a prescription for that she paused, confirmed who she was calling (which was not me) and then apologized and said she dialed the wrong number.
