Service was a bit rocky in the beginning. All the tables seemed to be occupied and looked like they were short staffed. Most of the tables were occupied or haven't been bussed yet. I had to seat myself at a table from a customer that had already left. There was an existing cup of coffee. Staff came out and quickly cleaned my table and I gave her my order right away. Surprisingly the food came out like 15-20 minutes later. I devoured the ravioli in a matter of minutes. Come here if you have the time. It's one of the better looking restaurants in the town and a beautiful view!

Some workers speak English, others don't...whether an English-speaking customer can be understood is hit-and-miss. I learned some German before our trip to Switzerland, so was able to get by when I discovered during one visit that no one understood English. (I got out of the line and brushed up on a few words before getting back in line). Pleasant atmosphere; though it can get crowded. There is no seating, two small, waist-high tables outside where you can stand and eat (there is a rock wall and a park across the street, where you can sit and eat) The service is kind and (mostly) patient. None of the above is meant as a criticism, the "negatives" are there just to inform. If we are ever back in Wengen, you can bet that we'll return here. I wish I'd tried their chocolates.

It's a small shop just a stone's throw from the Höhematte (the park in the center of Interlaken where paragliders land). Our group of four learned about chocolate making, sampled different chocolate ingredients and varieties, and then made our own custom chocolate bars, and we had a great time doing it. The workshop lasted about an hour, and the chocolate we made was ready for pickup, packaged in plastic sleeves and nicely bagged, ninety minutes later. Our workshop leader spoke fluent English and German (he was an American ex-pat studying in Switzerland) and the chocolate bars we made were sizable and became great souvenirs.

The pastries tend to be a bit on the doughy side with not a whole lot in them, but it's good for the cooler weather we were experiencing in March. They had cakes too but I preferred just to get a hot chocolate and split a buttery pastry with my son. I love that so many of the shops also sell chocolates. Try to make a stop in the town if traveling through Switzerland. It's really close by to so many places and a great town in of itself.
