This is a Painter, and his subcontractors/employees, that I am reviewing today. Chuck Adams, is the owner, and I have to say, this is the WORST experience I have had with any contractors or workers to date. This guy has been on-site at my HOME for several weeks now, and where to begin?
When they first showed up, they began moving things, which I understand... but when you BREAK the personal belongings of the person living in the home you are painting one would think you might offer to replace it?? NOT this guy. He told me he broke one of my statues, but immediately followed with "it was old, and if you want to BUY some glue, I will glue it for you." I'm sorry, but WHO broke this statue? I have moved it a hundred times, and it has not broken... CHUCK ADAMS comes to paint my house, and moves it carelessly and it breaks, and he doesn't even offer to replace because it's old?? Thanks Chuck... what if it happened to be an irreplaceable family heirloom?? After this, he threw it over beside the house, in a PILE of the small lawn decorations, solar lights, and anything else he pulled off my house, or from around my house, which was all piled ON TOP OF the statue that he broke, so now it is broken in several pieces, and we couldn't "glue it" if we wanted to!!
They continued to move AND BREAK things as they were beginning the painting process, then one of the workers was found using MY broom, that he took from beside my garage door to use in sweeping the dust off the walls before painting. Ok, not a huge deal, but not professional by any stretch.... When I said something to him about using my broom to do his job (in a joking/smiling manner) he became indignant with me. He then left my broom sitting outside in MUD after he was finished using it without even asking permission. NOT PROFESSIONAL.
One day, Chuck comes to me and starts talking about how he heard us in OUR BEDROOM that morning, and he starts "talking smack" about how loud we snore, and he doesn't know how we slept through them putting the ladders up against the walls. He actually said they were trying to wake us but were unsuccessful. No care for the fact that we were sleeping, much less why we were sleeping late, because we were up until after 3AM handling an issue for our own business that we take very seriously.
As the process continues... They take the screens off of ALL the windows in my house... Thank you for protecting them from getting paint splatters on them, but they then left for the WEEKEND and not to return until early Monday afternoon.... I have NO air in my house, and it is AUGUST.... We couldn't open the windows because of the bugs and mosquitoes, so needless to say, we had a MISERABLE weekend!! Thanks again Chuck.
I have been unable to get in and out of my driveway more than once, because they park on the street blocking my driveway, and Chuck himself actually takes the liberty of parking in my driveway... he also has to back his truck in every time, and not always straight, so he not only takes up one side of the driveway, but makes it difficult to get into the other side as well. Not to mention that he just pulled right up on the side of the driveway IN THE YARD, where the grass is scarce anyway, and we have been attempting to seed it to make it grow over there... So much for that... he drove over any progress we made over there. :O(
When something was said, in an attempt to address this VERY UNPROFESSIONAL team of painters and their boss.... Things only got worse. They stopped cleaning up their equipment at night, and began leaving ladders around the house to trip over or run into after leaving for the night. The blatant disrespect of our property, as well as ourselves, got worse. The whole situation will not be over soon enough!!
The ONE morning they show up early, which happens to be Wednesday morning, after they said they would finally be finished on Monday.... They are out there Hammering and beating on the bedroom walls upstairs... Could this not have been done ANY OTHER DAY later, as opposed to waking up everyone in the house?? Again... Thanks for the consideration Chuck!
Now, we have painted shut windows, a mailbox that is missing parts because they couldn't be bothered to put it back how it was before they took it down! and multiple broken outdoor decorations, that will not be replaced by the "businessman" that broke them in the process of painting our house and earning his living.
I would strongly urge anyone considering C. ADAMS PAINTING & WALLPAPERING to run far and fast from using this guy to paint your house. I would DEFINITELY NOT want him stomping around INSIDE my home as he has done enough damage outside my home to make me actually get on here and write a review, which I VERY RARELY EVER do. That is saying something!!! This guy is just blatantly disrespectful, careless, and very passive aggressive in his dealings with the people living in the homes he is working read more
