We found out recently our daughter is most likely going to need her wisdom teeth pulled and the oral surgeon that removed mine over 10 years ago no longer removes wisdom teeth. I always check Yelp when looking for new companies and services. I called yesterday, spoke to Cathy who was incredibly kind & helpful! She was able to get us in on this upcoming Monday so that there would be time to do the surgery as well as X-rays. Well Hunsaker Dental in Houston had a data breach and did not inform patients. I had massive identity theft as did my family. So went to C and C will not give me a prescription for amoxicillin as l have had a complicated knee replacement and can not have another. So l said l could not go back unless the later was done. I was told to go elsewhere. Also endocrine wants me to see dentist twice a year due to medication in the past for osteoporosis. I guess not going anywhere! So this is the answer! I was not asking for controlled substances. Wasted $325 yesterday for nothing but a cleaning and a lecture. At times one has to listen to a patient's concerns! read more

I'll be honest - I have always hate going to the dentist and I especially used to hate coming here. I'd get anxious and shaky before getting to my appointment and it took like an hour or two to level back out after I was done. HOWEVER - lately they've hired some new staff (or new to me) and have adapted their care strategy. After making my anxieties known, I have seen a concerted effort to make me feel more relaxed. They have gone out of their way to "people" with me in a more compassionate way and I really really appreciate that. They have made my last 3 visits feel more calm and I feel like they care about my mental health as well as my dental health. I really appreciate their openness to growth/learning/doing better. I went to C&C dental and had amazing experiences. You've got to see one of the Dr. Cs that work there, they are both so knowledgeable and didn't try and talk me into doing unnecessary dental work. I had a bad experience with Another dentist who had insisted I get a crown (when all I really needed was a filling replacement) this Other place did a horrible job and I found my self in need of 'emergency assistance' (I could feel my teeth starting to move) and had to have my badly placed crown completely and immediately replaced, C&C was the right choice for me. They fixed me up with a new crown. Later I came in to C&C to have a filling replaced that had chipped and Dr. C did a Fantastic job. While I was there she noticed a tooth that I had filled (that I hated) that had been board out to what I would call a tooth fit for a vegetarian (smooth with no ridges) and Dr. C was able to create me a more 'human tooth' that I now love!! Dr. C and her assistant Sherri were wonderful and so patient with me (especially since it was the end of the day their day). I have had other dentist who suggested that I have my molars pulled and my other fillings replaced but Dr. C said that was totally un called for. That my teeth fit in my mouth and there was no reason to pull teeth that had no issues and there was no need to replace perfectly good fillings. I was so grateful for their honesty and for not trying to talk me in to unnecessary (expensive) work that would have taken around 4 more visits and thousands of dollars. I had the privilege of working with both the Dr. Cs during my visits and both were amazing. So let me be clear in saying that I am recommending Dr. C and Dr. C and not the other dentist there as I think they are the best and the only dentist I will be seeing in the future. Not all dentist are created equal but these two are the best dentist that I have seen in the 25 yrs (my adult life) of using dentist in the Houston area, granted they are in Sugarland but worth the short drive out of the city. Thank you Kathy (reception) for setting me up with the perfect dentist for me. You were so understanding on the phone and got me in right away. I so appreciated that since I had been tonguing that chipped filling and it was driving me crazy and thank you to Dr. C for fixing not only that tooth but also my brontosaurus tooth. I will give 4.5 out of 5 stars only because I felt they could have better explained that my insurance couldn't match up to the cost of their services. This review is to help the public make an informed, wise decision when shopping around for a great dental service. PROS: I believe C and C Dental LLC has great, eye pleasing, aesthetic surroundings (from the wall pictures to the furnishings and positive, upbeat vibes---you feel very comfortable in there!) and if you can afford the top tier level of care, then you should definitely go there for the pampering and great customer service. I would definitely go back whenever I can afford it-- just because this place was great for calming my anxieties, and I really enjoyed talking to their staff, especially Tammy-the best Hygienist on this side of Texas-bar none!!!! Dr. Cody and another younger dentist was great at explaining the complexities of the different procedures, like root canal versus bridge work. The front office was very welcoming. Cons: Business office staff not upfront about the hidden costs or "accepting your insurance does not mean your insurance will cover the recommended services". Examples of what may cost a lot but you are not given the breakdown BEFORE but AFTER you use it, you find out through the submitted claims: (1) Expensive X-ray. The Panoramic X-ray machine during the initial consultation cost $448.00, It's a great machine, I enjoyed the service so I will suck it up! (my insurance only paid $93.00--I had to pay the other $354.40!). 2) Deep cleaning for half the mouth -yes, believe it or not one side cost $748.00- my insurance only paid $58.14 cents --and I was left on the hook for $689.14. (Let out 2 screams and 1 yelp!!). Fortunately for me, I did not do the Left side of my mouth there (and saved myself the other half which was $748.00). Would I go back there for any service? Yes, if I could afford it, most definitely. I believe they mean well, the level of Customer Service is Top notch, but they definitely need to tweak on the code of silence and be bold and volunteer the details regarding what is covered versus what is not covered by your insurance! The best Dental service for me, having experienced 3 in Texas! If you got the bucks please go get your teeth cleaned by Tammy (5 stars, and 2 thumbs up!). read more

Run, don't walk to this wonderful dental office. I am a registered nurse and for whatever crazy reason ( I'm thinking a childhood trauma... lol) I have a dentist phobia. I still go every 6 months but I start sweating in the parking lot. We recently relocated from Georgia and one of my husband's coworkers recommended this office. OMG! Between the sweet Leslie who gave me a tour and explained everything and took my X-rays to the hygienist Traci that didn't hurt me ONCE and had such a lovely personality I have never had such a pleasant experience in a dental office. The cherry on the cake or soda was Dr. Dave who was thorough and gentle. He was just one of those people you like immediately. I have lived all over the country and can honestly say that I have never had such a positive experience with a dental office in my life. Is located in an inconspicuous area, but once you step in tbe front entrance, is spacious and well decorated. Besides tbe usual frill, chips, cookies and coffee, they have a movie room too. This place is all nice and fancy inside and out and it's because of all the extra money they take from customers. I went in asking if I was "in network" to get work done, and I was told sure no problem. Next thing you know, I have a huge bill that specifically says that I am not in their network. Amazing team here at C&C dental! Staff is always nice and welcoming and I have never had a bad experience. I had my wisdom teeth surgery here, which went without a hitch! I experienced absolutely ZERO pain after the surgery, which goes to show how good the doctors are. I had a few of my baby teeth removed, which was also a painless and quick process. Dr Dave here is currently working on my braces and he is super friendly and he knows what he's doing! He makes each experience pleasant and relaxing! Dr. Cody and Dr. Cash are amazing people. My son is an ortho patient and recently during one of his football games one of the opposing team kids played dirty by hitting my son in the chin causing one of his upper front teeth to jam up in his gum. We called C & C Dental and since they were closed we called their emergency line. Dr. Cody and Dr. Cash were in Brenam at the time with their family. After texting them a picture of my sons injury they immediately turned around and came back to tend to my son. Words cannot describe the gratitude we have for the care and dedication that Dr. Cody and Dr. Cash have for their patients. I have never never seen a doctor or dentist care for a patient in that manner. They care for their patients as if they are a member of their own family. I am super afraid of dentist visits, always have had bad experiences, a friend recommended this place. They did a deep cleaning on my first visit and everything was excellent, from front desk to the hygienist, Carrie, which is the best, I didn't feel pain so I schedule my second visit and Carrie did the other half of my mouth (insurance rules, just two quadrants per visit) and up to that point I felt great. Dr Dave was going to do two fillings, so he did anesthesia and from that point EVERYTHING went wrong!! He said he injected the vein with ephedrine that sometimes happen, but I felt like I was dying, I saw double for good 10+ minutes, feel like I couldn't breath, just like if I was having a stroke or something like that. I didn't like the way they handle the whole situation, I stayed calm, they had to call my husband to pick me up because of the bad effect of the injection, the dr was trying to explain what was happening but in a extremely calm way as if I was not understanding and saying that it was normal because HE injected the medication by mistake in the vein, that sometimes happens, but he assure it was his first time, I never felt like they understood the feeling, not compassionate at all, at the end, even they made my husband left work, and cause a lot of inconvenience and a very bad experience they made me paid, I understand it was for the cleaning which was done, but zero customer service, they've could mail the bill, or ask my husband to come later and pay but No!! They said I could stay as long as I wanted but they were rushing me to leave.... Even I was not feeling well, no, I was feeling very bad, they made me get my card, paid, sign receipt, etc I would never go back to this place, I feel that my needs were not met. Phenomenal customer service. My husband, who is afraid of dentists, went and came back HAPPY. I went myself for check up and cleaning and now understand why he liked it. Environment/decor is nice (relaxing), TVs in treatment room, the chair you sit in while they work on you? Massages! Digital X-rays. Everyone is SUPER nice. The only down side is they are NOT contracted with ANY insurance so you have to pay more $$$ out of pocket. Nice corner for kids to color/play in while they wait. I have been with C & C dental for over 10 years now and I couldn't be happier with this dentists office. The staff is friendly, personable, and always has your best interest in mind. The place is decorated far different than any other dentists office I've ever seen -designed in a funky and fun fashion with cute paintings everywhere (done by the owner of the office). Going to the dentist has always given me great anxiety but I just ask for nitric oxide and that anxiety clears right away! They keep their seats super comfortable with the option of blanket and a TV that you can watch any channel on. All in all, this place is great! I highly recommend. read more

Erica from the front desk was extremely demanding and rude when demanding payment. Been going to C & C for several years with the same insurance plan, I was not informed that my dental policy has changed, (I'm the policy holder and had not requested any changes) In the past, the same service was covered at 100% through my insurance but has since changed to 90% beginning 2018. She kept insisting that my insurance coverage was 80% and demanded I pay over $160, even though the service only costed $155. I asked how she came up with the figure because it didn't add up, in her rude tone and response (btw she never once smiled the entire time unlike the rest of the friendly staff there) she said "that's what the system is estimating so that's what you have to pay". I asked her to wait while I verified my insurance, (even though I was told that someone verified it two days prior) insurance informed me that their information on my coverage were wrong. My responsibility is 10% not the 20% I was told, after the call all of the sudden the amount I owe decreased from over $160 down to $60 (bc I have a $50 annual deductable). While waiting to connect with an agent, Erica repeatedly said with an impatient demeanor "you have to pay the estimated amount, or you will be billed." (More than once) How rude read more

Unfortunately, we have had a terrible experience with C and C. We went in for a basic check up and cleaning. We gave them our insurance information and they said it was accepted and everything went through. My husband and I were each told by our separate hygienists that our insurance would cover everything except for the cancer screening, which would cost $40, and some $50 (or something like that) cost that was covered by our referral credit. We were told by 3 separate people that we would be paying $40 total and that's it. We paid $40 as we left. A week later I received a bill for almost $300. Apparently our insurance did NOT cover everything and they decided to tell us after the fact. Even though said that our insurance covered everything while we were there. Not MIGHT cover everything, WOULD FOR SURE cover everything. But apparently they hadn't even fully run our insurance when they told us that. We are left feeling deceived and lied to. I am very disappointed that they have decided to run their business this way. Especially since we asked if there was anything they could do, and they took zero responsibility. Very sad. Will NEVER be visiting there again OR recommending it to anyone. read more

I have been going to C&C for the past year now. They did such a great job I have my whole family of 8 going there. My kids just had standard work done like cavities and cleanings, they did an excellent job! My teeth needed lots more work. I have inviso-line and an absess that was resolved. I just had a bone graph and then an implant to follow. I literally could not feel a thing. Zero pain! My teeth were in bad shape and they brought them back to life. Dr Dave and Dr Chu are great! Even during COVID they went out of their way to help me. I cant begin to thank them enough for their great work! The staff are very professional and friendly. She did not disclose the fact that she did not do the additional educational requirement to become an orthodontist until I specifically pressed her with the question. I used to go to a dentist who clearly didn't care about her guests before she closed her practice. After researching on yelp, I found C&C Dental. Once I came in for my first appointment, I was blown away by how lovely and modern the decor is. Every single employee there was extremely sweet and polite. The chairs are comfortable with a massage button and they bring a tv down with headphones and a blanket so you can be ultimately comfortable while they work on your teeth. I cannot express my extreme gratitude to this dental office. I chipped a tooth right around 5:00. I was on the phone with an appt by 5:15 for 6:00. I was in the chair by 6:15. Dr. Chiu stayed until 7:30 to fix the chip. There was ZERO pain during the procedure. She was simply amazing. Craziest thing? I was a new patient.
