However, during my visit, one of the dental assistants taking my X-rays put what appeared to be a used bite block in my mouth. It had visible bite marks all over it. As soon as I noticed, I immediately jumped up and asked, "Why would you put that in my mouth when someone else has already used it?" Instead of taking the situation seriously, she laughed it off and said, "Oh, we can give you a new one." I was completely mortified. There should never be a situation where a used item is placed in a patient's mouth, and the response made the experience even worse. I haven't been back since that visit. Based on my experience, I would give zero stars if that were an option.

I didnt wait even 5 minutes and I was escorted to take my first set of xrays. I got to my room and Victoria asked me what I wanted to watch on tv. I was cold and she went and got a blanket for me. Wow! This is top of the line dentistry and customer service. Dr. Angie came in and gave me a consult of my teeth and then the hygienist, Jenny came for my cleaning. I usually go to a different dentist so I already knew I needed a root canal & filling, but because it's so expensive I had to wait until I had the money. However, My gums got swollen and I started experiencing really bad pain to the point where I got 0 sleep that night, so I to Dr. Vi, since I'd heard she was good. The visit went well, I explained my situation to her and informed her I would be getting the root canal as soon as the swelling went down. She told me she would send a prescription to my pharmacy and I could pick it up that day as I'd receive a notification soon. Since the pharmacy was on my way home I decided I'd wait there till my prescription was ready, after a while of not being notified about my prescription I asked the pharmacist if my prescription was ready. I was told there was no prescription for me, so I called Dr. Vi's office and was told they were busy and would send it soon. About 40 min later I still hadn't received a notification so I asked the pharmacist again & again she told me no prescription had been sent. I called Dr. Vi's office again but they had already closed WITHOUT SENDING MY PRESCRIPTION!! Still I thought I'll just take Advil all day to ease the pain until tomorrow (Friday) not knowing they were closed by 12pm and still they didn't send my prescription on Friday. THURSDAY-MONDAY I had to go through excruciating pain, I got 2 hours of sleep if I was lucky with some nights not getting any sleep at all. Finally, Monday comes around I got ZERO sleep because the pain was so bad, I had to call them 3 times till someone finally picked up. I informed the front office I needed to talk to Dr. Vi due to my last visit and excruciating pain I also let them know I had not slept the entire night. I asked to talk to the doctor because I know she has to send the prescription not the front office and therefore I felt I should talk to the Dr. .She told me she'd let the Dr. know and have her call me back. About 30 min later I get a call back from the front office again asking if i had called due to my prescription, I said yes that the Dr. hadn't sent the prescription so I hadn't been able to pick it up Thursday. She said the Dr. did send the prescription but that they would send it again (I had a feeling that was a lie because I would of gotten a notification by text if they had sent the prescription but I gave them the benefit of the doubt). Still, I was polite and said thank you. Again, the pain is excruciating so I asked my brother to pick up my prescription for me. About 45 min after my conversation with the front office he left to pick it up (took him about 15 min to get to the pharmacy so it had been about an hour). My brother calls me & tells me the pharmacist told him there was still no prescription for me. At which point I proceeded to call Dr. VI's office again, I informed her the pharmacy had not gotten my prescription yet and was told Dr. Vi still had not sent it mind you every 15 minutes I'm having to use an anesthetic I had bought to help with the pain because it is so bad. At this point I reminded her I have been in extreme pain with little to no sleep at all but she was very dismissive and even said there are people at the office also experiencing pain. I could not believe she'd been so dismissive. I told her I'm sure there is and they should be able to get their medication today so they don't have to go through what I'm going through, I've been waiting since THURSDAY with sleepless nights, and extreme pain. And I've been polite and patient but that really got to me because it seemed like she was saying my pain was not important compared to the other people that were there today. She didn't apologize and kept denying that they had forgotten to send my prescription and said they would send it "again". My brother informed me the pharmacist had checked again to see if there had been a prescription sent for me previously but there was none and she even went out of her way to check if they had sent it to the wrong Walgreens and said if they had it, would show up in their system. They had not. Finally, I get a call from Dr. VI's office telling me they had just sent the prescription, I immediately received the notification so I know they lied when they said they had sent the prescription out Thursday otherwise I would of gotten the notification. They had no empathy and I never received an apology from anyone and Dr. Vi never bothered to call me.

They also dispute almost all the 1-star reviews as you must have the wrong office, never a patient there, even though they have receipts. The reason you see so many 5-star reviews is on your first visit they are overly nice and then begging you for a 5-star review before you leave the building (don't believe me look for yourself). That is the trap then on following visits is when they start to show their authentic selves screwing you over at every turn. Charm Dental is a perfect name, they charm you, then try to charm all the money out of your bank account. His fake smile is a character, when I was there, he was having a staff meeting and I walked around the corner and he was speaking to them like dogs, which you can see in their faces walking around on eggshells not to set off his rage. We paid 3,600 dollars for 3 hours of anesthesia and were told it was from when my son went under until he woke up. That was a lie they added 2.5 hours to his time by including when the vendor they used showed up and then left. We were not even in the office for 5.5 hours so how could my child be under that long? His work was awful, and we had to keep going back to fix it, so we went to another dentist and paid them $500 dollars to fix Dr. Mehtas' mistakes. We had disputed the amount billed and my wife and I were invited by Dr. Mehta to finalize the bill and come to an agreement (see photo below). Little did we know we were walking into an ambush by a very evil man. I came in good faith to get to the bottom of this, he shuts the door and then begins attacking my wife and I out of nowhere. His fake smile turned into rage as he accused me of being a horrible human, and my wife as an awful mother, which is very bizarre because he does not even know us. He then gets mad that we have great dental insurance which is great for us but not as good for him. He prefers cash pay so he can take advantage of the poor people coming in that have no idea he is about to rob them. Many of the reviews state his dad that was a dentist and treated his patients the same way. One of the most bizarre things in his office is he pulls out his phone and shows us a video of his son with a busted forehead that needed stitches. One it is strange he showed us and filmed it but tells us he made his son do it without pain medication. What type of monster does that to his child and films it, then shows it to people he is yelling at to prove he is some kind of tough guy. This is the same monster that wants to torture his patients and staff. Do yourself a HUGE favor read this and do your own research going over real reviews. I have also made a formal complaint to the Texas Medical Review Board for their investigation. This corruption must be exposed, before he is allowed to keep hurting more people under the guise as a doctor.
