We had a very bad experience with this company and write this review to warn others to be careful…read more Like other reviews I have read we contacted this company with specific work we wanted done and after a walk through they convinced us that other work needed to be done. Unfortunately it turned out some of this did not need to be done. First, we received a very high quote to do our deck and when we asked for a breakdown we were told it needed to be stripped first -- this seemed odd so we didn't have it done. We have been able to get it done for less than half of what we were quoted and that individual did not strip the deck. Second, the estimator told us that our windows needed to be caulked and we trusted him and agreed to have that done. When Maintain First workers came they asked my wife what we wanted to have caulked because it didn't look like it was needed. Unfortunately, when I checked the windows, the worker was correct - the windows didn't need to be caulked. Third, we asked to have the mold/mildew off the gutters. The gutters on two sides of the house are easy to get to and the gutters on the other two sides are difficult to get to. Remarkably, the two sides of the house where it is easy to get to the gutters are clean. On the other two sides of the house the gutters were not cleaned and the worker told us he tried but his cleaner wouldn't work". Our deck is on one of these sides, so we got a step stool and wiped the gutter with rag and bleach and it came completely clean immediately. In the spring we will pay to have this done correctly Fourth, our toilet was running and we had them put in new guts. Unfortunately, within 6 weeks the toilet was leaking and the tank would not fill back up with water; and we had a plumber come and look at it. He replaced all the parts and told us that inferior products had been installed and that's why they failed. Finally, we wanted the windows washed and when they came to wash the windows the worker only wanted to do the outside of the windows because the contract we signed only specified washing the outside of the windows. He produced a copy of the contract and when we compared it to the original contract that we kept in a file - the two contracts were different. Their copy of the contract indicated that we only wanted the outside of windows done and my copy of the contract did not specify "exterior only" - it merely indicated that the windows were to be washed. So please keep your original contract handy.

At the exact time the owner should have arrived to provide an estimate, I got a call saying that he had just notified the scheduler that he was unable to come. Things come up, so it wasn't that big of a deal, though I'd arranged my schedule around the cancelled estimate. The following week Dennis came by and spent time looking through our home and taking notes. He then took my email address and said I'd be getting an estimate the following day. I waited a few days and then called to make sure they had the correct email address since I hadn't received anything. I still never received a return call, nor an estimate. Making time for a service provider to come give an estimate is not nothing. It takes effort to schedule the visit, tidy up and walk someone through the space. I have two little children too, so managing this around them is also challenging. Because of this, we're weeks behind on starting our project because we had to locate and find someone else to provide a bid. I find it really frustrating that Quality Counts ghosted me before providing an estimate. I would have respected it if he'd said our job was too big or not of interest.

Communication with me was great throughout my project which included a large number of pavers and a large stamped-concrete driveway. Soon after the work was completed I had concerns as there were some areas of polysand failure, and I observed white areas on the driveway that had been tinted and sealed. But the company offered to come back in a few months to fill any areas needing polysand, and they offered to add more tinting to the driveway if necessary and to re-seal the driveway. This will satisfy all of my initial concerns. I'm very impressed with their willingness to make their customers overjoyed at the outcome. There were 2 teams performing this large project. The first team did the paver repairs. The before-after pictures I include show the uneven pavers are now perfectly flat (and clean). The work for the 2nd team was faster than what the manufacturers recommend on their websites. However the company has been in business for many years and they assured me that they have successfully done this work in even hotter temperatures in Florida, and they always apply sealer to pavers right after applying the polysand. They used Accel polysand for the pavers. I especially respect and am grateful for this 2nd team, Jake and AJ, who worked through 90+ degree heat and very high humidity. Although my property has many trees, it was still potentially dangerous and definitely uncomfortable.

After it was done, there were all kinds of problems. We appreciated the fact that two experienced guys came out quickly to assess and try to correct the sealing. What we did not appreciate is that they told us the other guys were new at this. Was an $8,000 project not enough for the A-team? The guys who came out to fix it, tried another coat of sealer. Also didn't work. They called a guy in Florida who "knew everything about sealers". They tried another product and it seemed to work. However, some of the sloppy work from the first sealing still shows. Every time I'm out there, I see the lines on the pavers from the first attempt. We thought we had done our research in good companies. It apparently wasn't enough.

Highly HIGHLY recommend! They came out and fixed a basement leak in the corner, AND installed 7…read morei-beams to stop by basement wall from moving in. All within 4 hours! They also went above and beyond to make sure we could finish the basement wall they fixed. Ensuring bolts weren't too long to get in the way of future dry wall. And ensuring they were spaced out away from where studs would go. And some how they were able to install the beams around existing pipes/electrical, I really thought we'd have to cut/move some things around.
