This is very important to me and our company, as we are not local to the property we needed his assistance with. We approved his estimate to replace the roof on October 1st, which was eventually finished, in roughly 55 days. On October 8th, while waiting for the roof to be replaced, I asked if he knew of a good company that could assist with minor remediation work. Ralph said they handle a lot of repair/mitigation work and would be happy to help us with that portion as well. I was thrilled. We approved his estimate on October 16th, and this minor remediation job is STILL not complete. What should have taken 1-2 weeks at the most, I am here writing this 5 months later. I can't believe I let this go on as long as I have, and I'm embarrassed to admit it, but he kept assuring me it would be wrapped up soon. I was told THREE times he had passing air sample results from testing he had completed, and each time he claimed to have the report, he never sent it to me. It was either the testing company's fault for the delay in getting it to me, the report was on a laptop in a different city (four hours away), or he was on vacation and about to get on a flight so he couldn't email it, it was ALWAYS something. I finally reached out to a reputable remediation company that said he could complete the remediation work in a couple of days and would have results for me just a few days after that. I have lost a ton of time and money over this minor job because of Ralph Valenciano's dishonesty. Do yourself a favor and do a quick Google search before deciding to go down this road. I wish I did.

I had already obtained three other roof quotes ranging from $14,300.00 to $16,470.00 and decided to proceed with Sergio's proposal. After signing the contract and the work began, Sergio informed me later that day about additional issues found with the decking, which needed replacement. He stated that I needed an additional 800 square feet of plywood (I mean decking) which would cost $5,200. Talk about "bait and switch" because now the project has increased to $20,000 instead of $14,910.00 originally quoted due to Sergio's high-pressure sales approach, I signed the revised agreement, as the work had already begun. Believe me, Sunny Skyline Roofing and Construction is entitled to a profit and rightfully so but please don't "rip off" customers in the process through inflated or deceptive pricing practices as it undermines your company's integrity. To be fair, I give them an (A) for Workmanship/Quality, an (A-) for Clean-Up only because the crew left lots of bits of insulation in my back yard, however, Sergio stated it would dissipate once it rains, and finally a (B-) for Cost/Transparency due to the additional THOUSANDS of dollars it cost me through their bait and switch practice which unfortunately impacted my overall experience with Sunny Skyline Roofing and Construction Company.

Given the weather, Monarch was able to come out the next day - Shane came himself to look at the leak from inside the house and attic as it was still not safe to go up on the roof in the weather. Then, 2 days later, they were able to get a crew out to inspect the roof and make the necessary repairs. Communication was a bit frustrating at times as the time table kept changing and we were running up against another round of multi-day rain chances, but it all got fixed in the end. We ended up replacing 9 rain collars and some roofing around my furnace vent, totaling $750. Seemed a bit steep, but when it comes to roof leaks and impending rain I didn't have much wiggle room to start over and get new quotes. This company advertises a 'Free Estimate' to get their foot in your door. But once they inspect the storm damage, they hold the estimate, photos, and videos hostage. They refuse to send the paperwork via email unless you meet them in person to sign a binding contract. A real free estimate doesn't require a signed contract. They are dishonest, shady, and unprofessional. Avoid them!
