Their paint is excellent quality and the guys here are knowledgable and helpful. The paint is more expensive than Home Depot, but you get what you pay for: better customer service and better quality. Keep in mind that you can't return custom colors, but they may be able to change the color if what you purchased is not working for you. They also sell a lot of other paint supplies if you need anything else other than paint. Sometimes you get lucky and they have a sale!

I own a paint contracting business, and have nearly 40 years of experience in this field in NJ. During all those years, I've dealt with countless people in dozens of paint stores. I can say unequivocally that Hunterdon Paint is, by far, the best of the best! From stock availability to customer service, from store ambiance to product knowledge, they are unsurpassed. In fact, I routinely bypass other stores with the same product, sometimes cheaper, to shop here! Why? It's always better to do it once than to do it over! Now, regarding color, that is the hardest part of the project! I have a color consultant on staff, and she makes a world of difference to customers. The same is true of Helen, whom Hunterdon uses for color consulting. Talented, fun, and well worth the cost to get it right. Yes, Duncan is very good, knowledgeable and personable, but so are Bill and Jack, all highly professional and dedicated to helping the customer to not only get the right colors, but to get the whole project right.
