BULL***T! Nothing could be futher from the truth. Not only did I pay him every penny (have all the venmo receipts to prove it), but I am the one to had to chase him to catch up. Cleanup was a 2-part job, weeks apart. Rather than paying 50% each time, he asked that when I paid for the first half, that I advance money toward the 2nd half. Then, he didn't want to do the work. His behavior was very erratic the entire time. That combined with desperation for money makes me suspect a drug problem. He would message me and ask when I was going to pay him and I'd have to send him the screen shot reminding him that I paid him when he was here! As for all the sudden 5-star reviews: As of today, there are ones such as someone from Buffalo, NY with 3 reviews. Someone from Spokane, WA who has no other reviews, etc. Bernardo has trouble showing up to Queens (which is where he lives). When he came to do the inspection he identified several spots of poison ivy, and said that I'd pay…read morefor however much of the time as they used, but that their full day rate was $1200 (which turned out to be $1,500 after additional fees). The team got here, worked for three hours and left, missing several noticeable patches of poison ivy, such as the one in the photo I attached. I texted to complain, both about being charged the full day price for less than half a day's work, as well as his team not even finishing the job. He eventually sent them back to get the spots they missed, but refused to budge on the price, claiming I was so far away that they had to charge the full day rate regardless of how much time was spent (I live in Westchester also, less than 30 minutes away). He tried repeatedly to convince me that this was worthwhile because he'd be returning later in case they missed even more spots, and also tried to suggest I use his team to do small chores around my yard to use up the additional time. Bottom line was we agreed on a pricing structure and then he lied and forced me to pay more than we agreed upon. They got rid of the poison ivy, but I feel deceived and taken advantage of. Don't use these guys unless you don't care about money.
