We…read morewere in the process of building a home at the bottom of a long slope, and with the rainy season approaching, a major concern for us was ensuring that water runoff coming down the slope would be shunted around our homesite and down to the drainage ditches along the roadside. Southern Woodchucks met with us several times to formulate a plan to facilitate adequate drainage, that would not drastically change our property's natural contours, which is one of the aspects that had originally sold us on the lot. Now that we are well into the rainy season we appreciate the fine work that was done to move the water around our building site and down to the street. They also distributed grass seed at the end of the grading, which has helped greatly in stabilizing the soil, until we can progress to the landscaping phase. Understanding that the cost of grading was a considerable and essential investment for our project, Southern Woodchucks exhibited great concern in assuring that we were satisfied with the results and readily communicated this with us. Stephen did a fantastic job from start to finish…read more When we were first in contact, we asked him tons of questions and he patiently explained a lot and gave us really helpful, objective information. When he came out to inspect our home, he first used a camera to look in our duct work (where my wife thought the smell of mold was coming from), but he said, "No, everything looks good there." (That was the first indication to me that we were working with an honest guy.) When he inspected the crawlspace, I went with him, and he showed me clearly what needed to be removed and explained how the process would work. He also showed me and explained how the contractor who replaced our vapor barrier a few years ago did a sub-par job (covering up old material that had mold growing on it and not installing the vapor barrier properly). When I compared his prices to another contractor, his prices were very reasonable. Finally, Stephen scheduled and did the work for us over the course of three days. He always kept us informed of what was happening, kept answering a hundred questions, was always patient and informative, and did a very thorough and conscientious job. (I got down in the crawlspace and could see the evidence of good work myself.) When it was clear to him that some mold might have rooted down in some duct insulation, he was open about that and recommended a HVAC guy that could take care of that, since that is beyond what he does. Long story here. My ex husband lives next door to me.His mother passed away and he got her house…read morewilled to him. I already had my own home when we married. Well,my septic tank needed a new drain field.so my ex told me to hook it to his mom's empty septic tank .she had rental mobile homes there at one time. Well we didn't have the money for a new drain field so that's what we did. It backed up after our divorce so I wanted to get new drain field and hook my septic tank to it like it was before. Almost a year later it started backing up in my yard so I called a plumber to look at it. You are not going to believe what they did, hooked it right back to exs tank. I had to pay 1000.00 to get it the way it should have been. Poor communication because they did not tell Allen what to do. I was out of town when they did the work. I did call Brad and told him about it. I am a 70 year old single lady on social security and he said it's not his fault so I am having to eat the 1000.00. Debra please beware.
