Having only been in Flagstaff for three years I didn't have my usual list of "go-to" contractors so…read morewhen I needed some tree work done I researched some companies here and on other review sites. I got two estimates. Larry from SuperTree is a consummate professional. He clearly knows his trade and is happy to share his knowledge. Larry gave us his opinion and suggestions but left it up to us to decide what we wanted done. The second estimate I got was a joke (and they got pretty good reviews). The owner stood in our yard and simply asked what we wanted to do. No input, no suggestions, nothing. Needless to say we went with SuperTree (interesting side note - SuperTree was a little less expensive but that wasn't a deciding factor). We have (had) 39 Ponderosa Pines in our rear yard - our total lot is .4 acres with the back representing about two-thirds of that. The trees were very close together resulting in some of them growing straight up with very little branching. They were all also competing for water. Aesthetically, the trees also blocked what is a pretty nice view of a national forest that we wanted to enjoy from our deck. The Supertree crew showed up and we tagged trees. It was difficult because we couldn't tell which trees should be removed until others were removed. They were very patient with us through the process and made some on the spot suggestions. In the end they removed 18 of the 39 pines. We still have a "woods" feeling back there but it opened up one side to the view. In addition to the pines we had Supertree remove 4 Aspens in the side and front yards. Those trees were growing in clumps with other Aspens and we took Larry's advice to get rid of them. Very happy with Larry, the crew, and the work they did.

Larry came promptly and walked the 2.5 acres with us and gave us a quote and timeline. It was a lot of work including tree felling, brush clearing and removing ladder fuel. His crew (up to 5 depending on the day and type of work) was professional and worked quite hard. It was a big, multi-week job. One of our concerns with fire was if a large firetruck could even get up our tree-guarded driveway. Larry went so far as to have the local FD drive their big truck right up to our house after the tree work had been done. Awesome service. Larry and his crew did excellent work and came in right on budget. I highly recommend Supertree.

When Jerry showed up I calmly asked him if I really was receiving halv a cord. This must be somewhat common because immediately the swearing started and some really indecent slurs was used. My neighbor watched the whole ordeal and he reminds me about it more than I would care for. I feel that I really dodged a bullet there. But I hear Jerry is stacking well for all those who are inclined to use this feature while paying inflated prices.

They did a great job and cleaned up the trimmings very well. I even had them trim some messy banches over my little pond. The branch pollens made a mess inside my pond, but no branches fell into it which I was very concerned about. They even offered to help me clean my pond from the fallen junk!
