These folks on several occasions have been able to repair my vehicles where no one else was able to, in a timely manner.

So I have had probelms with my AC for a long time now. I just didnt have the time or the money to get it fixed. My mother suggested taking it to this place and I decided to get take her up on her advice. Now let me give you some important context. My AC worked it just didnt work well. It took 10 minutes to even come on, but would eventually come on. I took it to them for a diagnostic. Drop off went well. Several hours later they call my mom and tell her that my problem is there is no freon in the car. I tell her "Yea i know that is not the issue because i check the freon levels pretty often and it has not been that long since i checked it". She tells them that and then they call back about 30 mins later and say that NOW the real issue is my compressor is bad. Now that makes alot more sense. They say they dont have the parts on hand and have to order them. I say okay and come pick my car up. Well as I am driving the car i start to notice something. My ac is not coming on AT ALL now. Thats odd.... So i get a suspicion that my freon is gone. I go to an auto parts store and buy one of those cans of freon with the gage on it(not cheap). Wouldnt you know it...ALL of my freon is gone. So they took all the freon out of my car...didnt return it...and then didnt tell me they did it when i picked it up. So the next day i call and talk to the mechanic who worked on my car and he tells me that he did indeed take my freon but I should be thankful because they didnt charge me the $125 diagnostic fee...Thats right...$125 to use a machine to read a code. I was like "okay just give me a quote to fix my ac to where it runs real good". I am thinking to myself maybe they will give a discount since they stole my freon, didnt tell me, and then i called to complain about it. Not a chance....He called back and wanted to replace not only the compressor....but pretty much the entire system..for $1600. I was just like....okay thanks for letting me know. I will just live with an AC thats works not so great while i save up a down payment for a new vehicle before i submit to highway robery. read more

As a Business Owner we have eight vehicles and every time I call C&W Auto Repair in Cameron ...The phone is answered, the staff is friendly, the service is faster than any automotive shop I have ever used. Generally I speak with Cliff Cryer whom is at his shop way before most wake up! Cliff is honest, fair and as helpful as anyone could ever ask him to be. I have spent enough over the years to put a kid through College or more! I have never questioned their honesty, or price! Our little town is blessed to have a such an incredible shop. Wendy answers the Phone since her Mother retired and has many other multitasking responsibilities ... The Mechanics at this shop are Professional and top notch. Honest, Fast, Fair, Top Notch. Broke down in Rogers, TX. Wendell towed me to the shop. Cliff got a new power steering pump installed and I got back on the road to finish the last 4 hours of a 5.5 hour road trip. Awesome experience. read more

My daughter was broken down on her way back to Houston. Wendy at the desk answeredand was very helpful and got someone out to my daughter and her car to the shop quickly. C & W is a Cameron tradition, always providing first class service that is only available in a small, maybe Texas, town.

My daughters boyfriend was driving the car and it broke down outside of Camera. I had my insurance company toe the car to C&W's. I called them to tell them that the keys would be dropped off by a friend and to call me when they knew what was wrong with the vehicle. I already knew of one thing that was wrong with the vehicle and the part had already been ordered. It was going to be put on by the boyfriend's brother-in-law who is a mechanic. They eventually called me and told me the car was fixed. With a questioning look on my face I asked, "what was wrong with it?" They told me of a couple things wrong with it and one of the things was the pump that we had already ordered. I was told that it's fixed and it was going to be over $400. The parts were substantially less than the labor. I said that I did not give permission to fix my car. And that we had already ordered one of the parts that you replaced. I didn't need that fixed. I just wanted to know what was wrong with my car first before giving any permission to fix it. I was told that if I wanted the parts they had already put in removed they would still have to charge me for Labor. I was going to have to pay for work done on my car that I did not ask to be done, did not give permissionTo be done, and did not need to be done. I would suggest not going to C&W's for any car repairs! What they did is illegal! read more

These folks are the best!! Our Mini Cooper broke down outside of Cameron and was towed to C&W. It was almost quitting time but they looked at our car and quickly diagnosed the problem. Part had to be overnighted from Austin and it was iffy if they would be in the next morning or not. They took us to a hotel for the night. The parts did come in and they had us on our way by 11:00 the next morning! Super nice small town Texas people!! read more
