had to take my vehicle In 3 times for service . engine light still on after car was serviced . I left car with a full tank of gas and I was left with no gas and worried I would not make it to gas station . I'm still waiting to get the service I paid for completed . I went In for one part to be replaced according to diagnostic check , and payed for 5 parts instead . It seems spark plugs and engine coils are suggested item at this place . read more

My wife had a stroke the same week that I was having trouble with my car. They got me right in and checked any problems. Whereas other car repair shops would have upsaled services, H&H informed me I could live with the car the way it is for quite a while before a costly repair was required. update. Monday a week after I drop it off they finally call to say it's ready.... only to call back a few minutes later saying their debit/credit machine is not working and I need cash or Venmo. called the businesses on both sides of the road next to them and no one else is having isssues... her words " our area is having issues with the internet connections to process payments.... what a load of crap. I'm using a two , with the thought of one. Will depend on if my truck is safe to drive, when or if, I ever get It back in one piece. Maybe it's because I admitted to being ripped off by another garage. but this garage is the moving target of efficiency and transparency. Monday Morning Drove in first thing in morning. Seemed legit. Without outright badmouthing the other shop they left it at "Well. that's not how we would have done it at all" said they'd call at end of day or first thing in the morning with diagnosis. Tuesday morning : they open at 8 I finally called them at 9:30 : "needs new plugs and coils" Okay, how long? " hang on let me asI tech". She goes away for a few and comes back and says "end of the day" Fantastic. Called back close to closing and says : when they went to drive it after putting in the plugs and coils they heard a noise that made them think rear differential. ( this is what I was actually hoping they'd find. I knew something was amiss and just didn't understand at the time what it was) okay fine, I say. When and how much will it be.... Mechanic tells me 11.5 hours to replace rear differential. I question why a 30 year experienced shop would require almost twice the time needed to do this? and here's where this shop gets shady. He leaves the convo and someone else comes on to "Try" and "Pick up" where the other left off.so she comes on and says "Oh the miracle mystery mechanics did some recalculating and now it's only 3400 for it all" I say "Fine ,when? ' thinking weeks of waiting for a part' She says "Thursday. But Friday "At the latest" I call Thursday after lunch. They "need till Friday but for sure it'll be ready!" Friday Friday I wait til 2 pm to call... "It's being finished up now and will be ready by end of business day." I explain I'll need 20-30 minutes notice so if I need to Uber I can make it on time. ' she says she'll call by 5. Five comes and goes so AGAIN, I call them, Not ready. ! Mechanic gets on and says differentials in but they still need to do plugs and coils " I'm like WHAT THE EVER LOVING F? !!!!! "you're telling me the coils and plugs haven't been replaced? You guys said after you replaced them you took it on a drive and notice the rear differential was in need of repair?! And they do the switch up of people. 3 times and honestly she tried to tell me it's not the plugs and coils we're needing to do, it's the differential that took so much time and need finalizing ! I was like " your mechanic himself just told me a completely different story." Finally, I said " well, you've literally have me in a car hostage situation. My life depends on you doing your job without sabotaging my truck because I'm totally pissed off by now. You're costing me more money because your 30 years of experience has taught you ZERO time management. And this is why people don't trust mechanics. Because believe if I could figure out how to do this myself I sure as hell would." Will I get a quality and trustworthy truck back? I guess my 1500 mile trip will tell. Personally , I'm not hopeful but hope to not die on the way. My suggestion. Go ahead and go to dealership. Pay the extra. Or find a different shop. 30 years of business could just mean they're good at something else besides quality workmanship. Suggestions for a better experience 1. Don't play phone games A. If you say you'll call , call. put a timer reminder on your phone. Customers shouldn't have to keep calling you for updates on times YOU set to call back. B. no one should have to go through so many people to get an accurate story. Talk to each other so you don't give conflicting answers. Because THAT RIGHT THERE screams dishonesty. 2. There are NO fairy mechanics and price changing. I called 4 other places to ask for a labor time estimate and NO ONE said 11.5 hours. 2 even said " the most difficult cases wouldn't take that long. The startING high and "doing Me a solid" by coming down on a ridiculous quote also makes you look bad. 3. You literally said , after they replaced the plugs and coils they took it for a test drive...... and ended the week by your mechanic saying the coils and plugs still needed to be replaced... I read the reviews. Honesty and quality work comes into most of them..... not sure on quality yet but the honesty part is suspect at this point I'll be luck to make it 500/1500 miles. I need for them to say what they mean and mean what they say.... I need this truck to live. Much more nonsense and I won't be able to afford the gas to get where I need to go.... read more

Just left this mechanic shop. While on our way to SA from Killeen, my car broke down half a mile away from this mechanic shop. I had my little boys and 4 month old with me and Harvey came to the rescue. He got us back on our way in an hour and stayed at work on our vehicle later than he had to. Any other mechanic would have charged an arm and a leg. Wish I knew a mechanic in my hometown like this one. Harvey's wife even gave my little boys quarters to get get gumballs out of the gum ball machine. They turned a really scary moment into a great experience for us. I had a bent rear hatch near the bottom of the hatch of my minivan and was very distraught to have done that to my car. I arrived at 8.05 am and was welcomed by Justin. Within 45 minutes, I got a call that he was able to fix my car and do the repair I had asked. Coming from Georgetown Center, you have to pass GHS and they are across Stadium street. Those guys are dynamic, competent, friendly, honest and hard workers. They charged me almost nothing ! I am SO glad they exist. They will be my go-to place for repair from now on ! Huber auto repair is the best auto shop in town. They are reverse, experienced, and honest, which is hard to come by across the board at most dealerships or body shops. I've been coming here monthly for car maintenance for over a year and a half, and Harvey and Melissa (the owners), have treated me like family from day 1. Harvey, God rest his soul, even came and changed my tire for me at work because I was stranded and had no one else to call. Just out of the goodness of his heart. He and Melissa have set the bar so high with their customer service and genuinely care for each person. The work is superb, and pricing is extremely fair. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and anyone that will let one bad apple spoil their own chance to see how great this shop is, is definitely undeserving of such a kind hearted and caring business. I was satisfied with the repair BUT the price was HIGH. My auto was diagnosed in 10 minutes that the starter was bad. 30 Minutes later the starter was delivered by Advance Auto Parts. 20 Minutes later my car had been repaired. Later I called Advance Auto Parts & they stated the 1 year starter for my auto was $111 + tax. I was charged $153 for the starter. (over $30 profit) I was charged $176 for labor (30 minutes labor=$352 an hour labor) read more
