    Out of business and left me with damaged doors- lied about having the replacements under warranty and disappeared. Criminal!

    I had an appointment scheduled with Ace Garage Door Repair & Installation and was notified only two…read morehours before the scheduled arrival time that the appointment would need to be rescheduled for two days later. When I called to inquire about the reason for the reschedule, I was informed that the technician was dealing with a family emergency involving his son. I expressed my sympathy and concern for the technician and his family. However, I also explained that I had taken time off work specifically to be home for the appointment and asked whether the company had another technician available or any contingency plans in place when emergencies arise. Unfortunately, the supervisor, Sara, became very hostile during the conversation. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, she raised her voice and repeatedly asked if I did not understand that the technician had an emergency with his son. At no point did I question the seriousness of the emergency. I was simply trying to understand what options the company had available after I had rearranged my work schedule. I am genuinely sorry for what the technician and his family are going through, and emergencies happen. My disappointment is not with the technician but with the way I was treated by management. A little empathy and professionalism would have gone a long way. Customers should not be made to feel unreasonable for asking questions after taking time off work and having an appointment canceled at the last minute.
