I gave a few chimney companies a call and MS Chimney was the first to get back to me and they also gave me the best price. Once I scheduled the inspection, communication was excellent. Zach let me know when he was on the way and his thorough inspection lasted a good 30 minutes. In addition to needing a better cap on our chimney, the firebox needed to be cleaned and re-pointed. The total cost was $500 less than what my buddy had paid for the same job from another company several years ago. The MS Chimney works with a custom fabricator who builds each cap to the specs of the chimney. I received two pictures that aren't even of the same vent and I don't even know if there ours. We told him prior that our landlord would be paying and that we would need an invoice. He agreed, then before he left he demanded we pay cash check or Zelle and told us he could not leave until he was paid! And he had the audacity to ask for a tip!! Luckily our maintenance guy had painted a lot of the things shut so I was able to tell after he left that he did not do three of our vents or the air return and we only had five!! This is a complete scam and please do not reach out to this man!!
