The first time I ordered from them I got 30 lbs of peanut butter stock and it was fantastic. This time not so much. The peanuts were not roasted enough and do not have nearly as good flavor. This is my second 55-lb order from cjdannemiller, and I am extremely disappointed. My first order was excellent -- fresh, clean, high-quality hazelnuts. That's the only reason I placed such a large second order. But the second shipment was awful. The nuts were full of dark spots, damaged kernels, and overall looked old and low grade. Absolutely not usable for production. What makes this worse is that the price increased by over $100, yet the quality dropped dramatically. I shared this with my friends who also buy from cjdannemiller, and they told me they had the exact same experience: their first order was great, and the second order was terrible -- like a completely different product. It feels like they hook you with good quality the first time, then ship you garbage on the second purchase. For such a large, expensive bulk order, this is unacceptable. I purchased raw peanuts online and they were shipped in a timely manner. After receiving, I had a question about them and contacted the company through their website using the online forms. A couple days later, I got a phone call from the company. I forget who it was but it wasn't a customer service rep, it was an owner. He left a message with his answer. I decided to order all of my nuts for a trail mix I was making from CJ Dannemiller and was impressed by the quality of their ingredients and with how friendly the staff were! There was an issue with UPS, as they did not deliver the packages to my address but marked the boxes as sent, but CJ Dan fixed the issue quickly and immediately sent me out a new shipment, which was a huge relief as the food is for my PCT thru hike and we leave soon. This place is great! I always order Roasted Almonds and pecans here, they sell myin case with 25 lbs or 30 lbs with good price. I have been ordered them for over a year and never had any issues. There's usually two ladies picked up the phone, one of the lady I believe her name is Tracy is always super super nice and helpful. read more
