I can't believe that the last review for this place was nearly three and a half years ago. Me and my wife recently stopped here to check out a natural food store since we really enjoyed checking them out. What was pretty cool about this place was there is a side street on the other side of the store and there's a street light on the other side. So random traffic may come by in the parking lot. Store-wise, it was very empty inside as in there were very little people shopping inside and not even that, the grocery selection was very small and limited. The items in the Shelf are not well stocked at all. If you pull an item from let's say a shelf. They will not be more of that either behind. The shelves just looks like it's filled. Many of the items were pretty pricey too though I will say we found a few cool items we've never seen. There was a juice bar too but that was closed down. Raisin Rack has some of the most helpful people you could ask for working for them. They make sure that stock is well rotated, and if you need something special, if they can order it for you they will! Fantastic supplement selection, the most variety of frozen specialty foods - and very competitive prices that are often lower than chain stores. I can't say enough good stuff about the friendly people that work at Raisin Rack, except that if you have food allergies, celiac, or are into healthier food in general - the Raisin Rack provides great value. 5/5 stars for their impeccable customer service and products. read more

If you want to buy organic produce, as my wife and I do, then I find that Raisin Rack is usually pretty good for that. What I like is that virtually all of the produce is organic. When I go to other stores, I have to be careful to make sure that I'm buying organic produce. Sometimes the produce may not look very good, but I'll just come back and get the produce another day. Their prices for organic produce are a little high, and you may be able to get organic produce cheaper at some store like Audi's, but I prefer the organic produce at Raisin Rack. Instead of it being pre-bagged, I can pick out what produce I buy, and can check it for quality. At a place like Audi's, I usually can not easily see through the packaging, and can not see what the quality is like. In the past, I've have had to return or throw away some organic produce because the quality was pretty bad when I opened the packaging. I've found that it is hit or miss with pre-packaged produce. The store seems to be pretty clean, and I prefer that the shelves may not be cluttered with goods for sale. The selection of canned goods is pretty good, and I like that I can buy organic canned produce of the brands that I particularly like. Their sale prices are pretty good, and it is worthwhile to check on the canned and processed foods that you might like, and see if they are on sale. You just have to watch the "Best By" dates, but they generally are good. read more

Raisin Rack is a favorite in Canton. It opened a much better location outside Columbus that's also been popular forever. When I compare them, this one seems kind of paltry. Maybe because the other one is much bigger. The organic selection is still much better than other area stores. Before this there wasn't much organic stuff in Canton. It was one of the first organic stores in Ohio. They soon would open a new location in Westerville. Each would eventually move into newer locations. The newer locations were bigger, and the selection got much better too. At the Canton location, there's not quite as much here but there's still a lot of good local and organic items. They also have a juice bar, which makes either fresh squeezed juices or smoothies. All kinds of frozen organic and vegan meals can be found. The best section is the supplement and vitamins. It has so much for special diets and conditions. They also have lots of fresh produce. If you can't find a specialty item there's a good chance you can find it here. It's by far the best for organic and vegan stuff. The staff is not always friendly but they're good at finding things. read more

I forgot to mention they have a really cool koi pond out front with a bullfrog living in it!!!!! So great!!! And an eat-in area! And a juice / smoothie corner!! (Closed when I went though) I was surprised how much stuff they had! As good a selection (or better) as Whole Foods, without forcing us to to contribute to Amazon taking over the world. (They only have two locations - Canton and Columbus - love it!) The prices on sale items are pretty good. Other prices are either good ($2.19 for three fresh giant beets! ;) ) or too-rich-for-me.... but still not higher than you'd pay at Whole Foods. The women working the register were nice about signing me up for a card. I think we might avoid the slog to Akron or Cleveland and shop here from now on. Thank you! read more

I really like this place, it's small but has a decent selection of bulk items, organic fruits and vegetables, snacks and grocery items. They have a very nice supplements section and have a knowledgeable and friendly staff. They also have a juice bar that I've only used once but was very good. We go fairly often and I would have given a higher rating but their stock is hit or miss, meaning week to week they will be out of certain products. read more

Raisin Rack is a very nice specialty market for the Canton area. They have a very diverse selection of healthy vegetarian, vegan, and specialty diet foods. They also have a large selection of herbal supplements. I like the fact that we have the Rack locally available to us. They're adding on to the current building so it looks like it may be about the size of the Mustard Seed in Fairlawn when it's complete. read more

Raisin Rack just had a customer appreciation day and it was awesome. They had taste testing and drawings. Everything was displayed very well and it felt covid19 safe. They are the "go to " place in Canton for vitamins and health food. The staff is friendly and helpful. Today I had the opportunity to talk to Cole, a manager there and she was so personable and helpful. Highly recommend this establishment! read more

It had been 30 years since I shopped here until last week. They began in a sort of 'hut' at 30th and Cleveland. Very small and kind of scary due to many 'smoking supplies' which I don't think were legal to sell. Fast forward to last weekend, a new building 16 blocks north and what a difference! It's a real grocery store, very big, great selection of organic, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items. The store was very clean, too. Lots of bulk items, huge freezers, groceries of all types, health foods, protein drink mixes, vitamins and other suplements. Not the friendliest helpers but I ignore and shop. Give them a dose of their own medicine. Healthy eating has gotten very expensive but I don't limit myself to this type of food. Regular fruits and vegetables sell for less at local grocers and are good for us. I use Raisin Rack once in a while for very specialty items and the hard-to-find ingredient for recipes. read more

In gluten free grocery shopping adventures this place is great! In gluten free, vegetarian grocery shopping this place is AMAZING. Raisin Rack is like a "mecca" for any natural food, vegan, vegetarian options. Whole Foods can not even compare. For gluten free dieters like myself there are not only two aisles of food, but a freezer section as well---This is the first and only place I have found gluten free pitas! Any gluten free baking item is also at this store. Not feeling like baking? At the end of the aisle is a section of gluten free bakery items fresh from a local bakery. Don't see a bakery item that you want? No problem! Just order it from the bakery and it will be delivered to the Raisin Rack. It's probably a good thing that the Raisin Rack is not just around the corner otherwise I'd be broke. read more

This place is staple and an oasis for me! Awesome staff, awesome patrons! Their bulk nuts/grains section is top notch, and very reasonably priced! Grind your own almond & peanut butter is also very tasty! They offer several choices for local egg producers, varied by price, and all good! Daily salad bars, healthy soups & juices, organic produce, vitamin supplements, environmentally friendly bathing protects, and lots of gluten free options, in addition to an abundance of energy bars for anyone's personal dietary preferences! Oh, Raisin Rack... can you please expand your hours? I've ended up shopping frequently at Earth Fare singularly for the "much more convenient hours" factor, but I strongly prefer Raisin Rack's quality, especially where produce is concerned. Prices and selection are pretty comparable at both places; Earth Fare carries a larger selection of personal care and household items, but Raisin Rack generally met my needs in this area. I would strongly prefer to keep supporting a small, local business over a chain, but... but... those hours! Even staying open until 9pm during the week would be an improvement! :( read more

This is a great health foods store, true organic. Privately owned and supports many good things. They have a really good organic produce section, nice selection in the gluten free isle, and plenty of vitamins and other supplements. Great place to find the foods, supplements, beauty items, etc that you can't find anywhere else. Competitive pricing on typically pricey items is a plus. The minus is, as mentioned in previous reviews, is the staff. I have, on occasion, encountered a pleasant and helpful employee. For the vast majority of my visits however, they don't even make eye contact, let alone say hello or goodbye. BIG pet peeve of mine. When I walk up to a register with a smile and a "hello", a response would be appreciated. Not even eye contact or a grunt? Sheesh. read more

Its nice to see places that care about what they are selling and where it came from. As I have been eating more and more locally sourced foods Raisin Rack appealed to me. They have a very large selection of supplements - certainly more than I was expecting. Other than that, the selection for just about everything else is mediocre and its quite expensive as well especially the produce. One of my favorite thing about this place is the peanut/seed selection. Also, they have a make your own peanut butter and almond butter from raw product. Its really cool and the peanut butter is reasonable in price. I can't see myself coming here regularly but when I am here I can see myself grabbing a few things that you can't get at many places in the area. read more

I go here all the time and the employees are always super nice. I'm not sure why anybody would say they get the "stuck up vibe." Maybe it's just their own preconceived notion's, I don't know. I have to agree with Linda S. Great place for food and supplements but poor on staff. I purposely look for "certain" staff that run the registers that are efficient and friendly that I know and avoid the "others" that are too busy trying to look pretty or are non-commutative when you check out. On many occasions they did not even ask for a Raisin Rack card or acknowledge. Great job with the expansion but again staff needs to go and replaced with people, real people. read more

They have a good selection of nuts and seeds. And Goat's milk which I can't find anywhere nearby. Produce is nothing you can't get at Fisher. The last time I was there, which may be my last visit the cashier was too busy discussing bad ex-husbands with the nu-necessary bagging lady and double charged me. I will it was a funky organic store, but I don't know who runs it. It is not good. For good eggs try Olive Branch, which doesn't have enough produce. read more

It maybe shouldnt matter, but this is just simply the snootiest place i've been in Stark County..the clerks, cashiers, etc all look bored almost to the point of seeming arrogant. They should take a drive up to Trader Joe's and see the difference a SMILE makes when it comes to customer satisfaction. I mentioned my impression to people at work, in passing and was amazed to find how common my impression was. We've all been there once or twice and all agreed that it was never worth a third visit because it is just so darned unwelcoming in there. No amount of supplements or gluten free 5.00 bread is worth the attitude from the staff .. maybe the staff needs to buy and use one of their colon cleanse products..and realize that a smile, a kind word, a "how can we help" or "have a nice day" goes a long way to getting repeat customers.
