This office made me feel incredibly comfortable from the very first phone call. They knew what they were talking about and followed up with me when they said they would. Not only they were very upfront with the cost and potential amount of time needed for the appointment( unlike many of the other offices,) all of their staff were very friendly and professional. In addition, Dr. Thunell is incredibly competent, patient, and down-to-earth. He made sure to explain to my young son what the procedures would be like(without scaring him) ahead of time, he also went out of his way to ensure my son felt comfortable during the entire appointment. I have reached out several time to talk to the "billiing dept" also being told they are busy. Now a year and a half later they are charging me late fees and interest on a bill they billed wrong!!! I tried once again to reach out and get this fixed and again told they were busy! The bill was $2025 dollars I was told my portion would be $1350. Then they tell me I had maxed my insurance so I asked if they billed my secondary I get told yes. NOT true my wife reached out to her insurance and they had received no bill. So now they finally get the insurance billed right they paid 1075 of the contractal portion of 2200??? That does add up now I receive another bill stating I owe 114. 1350 & 1075 add up to more then the original bill why am I still getting a bill? Looks like to me they have been OVER PAID and still want more money!! AVOID this place. Expensive and dont do their jobs right! No thanks for a horrible customer service! Roger Westover

Because of the complexity of the procedure, he referred me to this office. Before the appointment, I was asked whether I wanted medication for pain or anxiety. I said yes. When I arrived for my appointment, however, there was no indication that anything had been prepared or provided to help with my anxiety. The procedure itself was extremely difficult for me. My anxiety became so intense that I found myself quietly humming "I Am Iron Man" just to keep from having a panic attack while they worked on me. I understand that dental procedures can be stressful, but if patients are asked in advance whether they need help managing anxiety, that information should be acknowledged and acted upon. It left me feeling unprepared and unsupported during an already difficult experience. Not to mention, the "implant" fell out a month after. Your office made me feel enough shame, that I was't going back for second helpings. But seriously, I would like my $2000 back. Shame aside.

Years of teeth grinding, worsened by PTSD, led to micro fractures and tooth loss, but this procedure helped preserve my 20-year-old implants and provided two new implants so I can enjoy my favorite meals again. So for any other first-timers who don't want to walk all the way around the building, Smith Family Dental is on the south side of the building. Everyone I interacted with here was cheerful and friendly. I really appreciated Dr. Morgan taking the time to meet with me prior to my cleaning to introduce himself and check on my history. I also enjoyed being able to watch TV with headphones on during the polishing/cleaning. It was a nice alternative to trying to hold a conversation with dental tools in my mouth. Overall, I'm glad I moved and ended up close to Smith Family Dental!
