Just totally professional, friendly, made all of us feel totally at ease during the rehearsal dinner, on the day of the wedding, at the ceremony, in the staged wedding party/family photos and at the reception. The staging she arranged was clever and fun and worked beautifully with the space. It was a long and pretty tiring day for them I'm sure, but they were upbeat and awesome the whole time. It wasn't even my wedding and I liked them both so much I knew they'd earned a 5-star Yelp review. But then I saw the photos! OMG! They're so incredible! Somehow we all look like ourselves but also the very best versions of ourselves and the spirit of the celebration is alive in each pic. Laura doesn't watermark her prints which is also really cool of her - and she started posting pics online the very next day! The whole album was up in less than 2 weeks and she gave out little cards with info about how to find the pics on her website toward the end of the reception. I found some lovely ones of my friends, myself and the bride that I will buy and frame. I wish she lived closer, I'd ask her to take all of my family photos going forward. Talented, personable, just an all-around perfect person to capture a wedding on film.

In 2015 she took family photos for us on the RI beach side and in our home when our first daughter was about 6 months. Most recently my mother in law gave us a gift certificate with Laura to shoot our still growing family in September as we had another daughter who was soon to be 1 and we had yet to capture our family of four on camera. As you might imagine capturing a 1 year old and a 2 year old in the same photo lens is quite a challenge...they don't sit still long! Or look at the camera! Needless to say Laura was wonderful with the girls and we were able to stretch our time and get some absolutely amazing photos! Laura had our photos online within a few days and she was able to make some recommendations for our wood print. Patient, kind and professional. From the wedding dance floor to family portraits and baby shots Laura has and will continue to capture some beautiful moments for us and we will cherish them forever.

Jeff Belanger was on top of things from the very beginning. I wasn't exactly sure what our plans were going to be but Jeff was very patient, responsive, and offered suggestions on lighting and other considerations that would make for better photos. Through the entire process Jeff was present, available, and always returned my emails and calls within 24 hours (usually within just a couple). That meant a lot to me and my wife. After a thorough, informative, and well-prepared presentation on options we opted to go with a package where both Jeff and Kristen could be there to take photographs for us. Our wedding was a very private elopement with only a few people in attendance so getting high quality photos of the event was a major priority for us-- and Jeff and Kristen delivered. All told, we had about 250+ great photos to down select from. They were able to come to Sheep Hill for the ceremony and were wiling to come with us to the Devonfield Inn for additional photograhs and we had some of our very best at both locations, so that was really great too. I don't have any complaints at all with Jeff and Kristen or their work. I think they're the best photographers I've ever hired and I very strongly recommend them for your event. Thanks again Jeff and Kristen, Mike and Marissa Kusek

Their laid back, friendly vibe combined with a great attention to detail/professionalism made them so easy to work with. After an initial FaceTime call, Katie followed up with a personalized timeline of the day, making sure every small event was accounted for, before I even signed a contract! On the day of, Max hung out with the boys and Katie hung out with the girls to take behind the scenes shots before our first look and bridal party photos. Me and my husband agreed, they got along great with our bridal party and were able to blend right in. There was no odd feeling of someone photographing you. My husband and I can both be somewhat awkward people in front of a camera but Katie and Max made us feel very comfortable during our formal pictures. During our initial call, Katie asked if we were a "dancey" group of people. We certainly are, and both Katie and Max were not afraid to get right in the middle of the dance floor to get some awesome snaps. We had guests coming up to us all night complimenting both how nice and how attentive they were! They mixed in great with the crowd to the point they felt like guests. And I guess more important than the fact we thought Katie and Max were super fun people, the photos are FANTASTIC!! Us/friends/family are thrilled with the variety and look of their selection--a great mix of candids, posed photos, and scenic shots of the venue/landscape. It gives us a 360 view of the day, which is exactly what you hope for. Turn around time was also insanely fast. I've heard from many friends they waited months for their photos-- Katie had ours ready in two weeks! There are so many things that are stressful enough in the days leading up to the wedding and the morning of. Surround yourself with people/vendors who put you at ease. Both Katie and Max were lovely and never gave us a reason to doubt that the finished product would be great. Book them!

Our photos captured everything I could have imagined, I couldn't recommend them more. Thank you Katie & Max!

In photographs I typically have either RBF or a double chin because I'm usually laughing. I also cringe at the standard posed wedding photography and knew right off the bat that it would be a mission to find a wedding photographer that would be up for the challenge. So if you're like me, you may dread the thought of choosing a wedding photographer. It was by chance that I came across CMP's photographs while browsing on Pinterest. They immediately caught my eye; they were editorial, intimate and full of personality. Bottom line - stunning. Fortunately CMP had one photographer available for our date -- Danny. We lucked out because he is not only extremely talented in his craft, but also a total gem of a person. The photographs from our engagement shoot (WHICH COMES WITH YOUR PACKAGE AND IS AN AMAZING BENEFIT OF CMP'S SERVICES) made it immediately clear that Danny has a superb eye and was able to capture our personality as a couple. I've been non-stop spamming friends and family with our wedding photographs since we've received them; and which Danny delivered in record time. I'm in complete awe of how Danny was able to capture the vibe of our wedding in such a natural way. It goes without saying that wedding photographs aren't just for the couple, but also for the friends and family. So I want to share some verbatim messages I received from our attendees (who include people who work in the fashion industry, my highly critical family and people who have gone to at least 8 weddings last year) which really underscore Danny's stellar photography skills: "HOLY $H!T YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS!! I'm obsessed with all of them!" "The photos really capture you guys" "I'm done. Unwell this aesthetic. who is this photographer?!" "Your photographer was on it! They did a really great job!" "This photographer is magic brah" Last but not least, I want to recognize qualities of CMP that while searching for a wedding photographer I had not recognized were absolutely essential until I saw them in action: (1) a commitment to easy scheduling for discussing your needs and dates and for the engagement shoot; (2) clear instructions and constant communication on when the photographs will be delivered, guides for the photo shoots and how to view your photos; (3) a photographer with great personality that puts everyone at ease; and (4) flexibility and ability to provide for their customer's needs and implement their customer's vision. All in all, due to Danny -- our knight in shining corduroy -- we will live happily ever after.

Their ability to capture authenticity, beauty, meaning-- and even the sublime-- went way above and beyond any of our expectations. I was absolutely captivated by their portfolio-- the narrative, colors, composition, perspective. We were having a very small casual wedding, so I honestly wondered, would it still make sense to invest ourselves in photos? I am so glad that we did. I searched high and low online, but I kept coming back to their portfolio --beautiful yet edgy, current, and distinctive. After meeting with Mike at his Bushwick studio, we decided to go for it. I keep thinking of the word Zeitgeist (if that happens to mean something to you)-- the idea that art and culture are intertwined, that individuals and their works are products of their time and culture-- this is what you have with Mike & Chellise-- the ability not only to create beautiful amazing portraits and memories of important moments but also to be part of the artistic and inspired zeitgeist of Brooklyn/NY now. It's like you have the chance to be doing your band photoshoot, except that it happens to be your engagement photoshoot. My partner and I both didn't want traditional engagement photos-- we both love modern and contemporary art, cinema, and the eclectic visionaries who bring their own individual perspective to their work (Cindy Sherman, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Vito Acconci, Ryan Trecartin, Laurel Nakadate, to name a few). In particular, we enjoy the rich saturated hues and style of 1960s Italian (a la Dario Argento) and French New Wave cinema, so we wanted to recreate those moments in our portraits. Mike and Chellise and Kelli made it happen. And our portrait session photoshoot was as fun, memorable, and as exciting as our wedding itself... and the photos are simply incredible. Not only that, but they bring genuine positive and relaxed energy, which is really important, especially for the wedding day. Mike and his team are friendly, professional, timely, and super-efficient and effective. You could not ask for better event/portrait/wedding photographers. True talented artists.
