If there is a cocktail bar to visit for a legit mixologist and a view of Manila Bay, it's here at the C Lounge, Conrad Manila Hotel. We came for their scratch margaritas almost everyday we stayed at Conrad.

If I weren't so hungry for food that day, I'd pass on my first bite, odd because I just had lunch 3 hours ago. There are days that just require more food. DRINKS (4.0) The Poptails (350 - 400 PHP) are the highlight here at the C Lounge. Just imagine basking in the grand environment of the luxurious Conrad hotel with a view of the famous Manila bay sunset, while you hold a round rock glass of their Limoncello Medley mix, as you stir it with a frozen popsicle of the same concoction. Experience the high life at Conrad. FOOD (2.0) Pita Chips with Hummus and Carrots (280 PHP) I've just recently expressed my love for all thing hummus, so my knowledge base is still limited. This dish delivers on the smooth feel of the mashed chickpeas, a perfect pair with the sunset view. Prawn Tempura (590 PHP) 3 pieces of deep-fried prawn with a Wasabi Mayo. A satisfying treat to eat, just turn a blind eye on the price. In respects to that I do think the view merits the debit. Salmon Sashimi in Soy Mirin, Spring Onion, and Sesame (460 PHP) Marinated Salmon and lettuce that's it. Expect a simple dish that's easy to understand and will fill you mouth a smooth flavour from the salmon and garnished greens. Steamed Chinese Butterfly Bun with Honey (540 PHP) Imagine taco, but the shell is similar to siopao bun. The barbecued pork was tender and had a satisfying hint of honey sweetness. Tuna Rice Bowl (390 PHP) If I must come back for meetings I'd order this since it has rice. Well seasoned tuna p Jamon Serrano and Mozzarella 'toastini' (460 PHP) Beyond the expected hotel pricing this is just too underwhelming. The white bread clearly wasn't toasted enough to hold the Jamon Serrano and Mozzarella, which made it soggy and just sad considering the ingredients used weren't cheap, preparation was the culprit.

C-Lounge is the cocktail bar/lounge at the Conrad Hotel Manila. It is one of the newest 5/6 hotel in Pasay City that is beside MOA. The lounge boasts the sunset view at Manila Bay, but unfortunately, when we visited we saw the high tide due to a storm leaving PAR. Nevertheless, the venue interiors and the large window is calling me back here for drinks. They launched new menu items from their usual bar chows. We had an opportunity to try them as part of their food tasting event. So here are the list that we had: Pita Chips with Hummus and Carrots. The pita chips was tough and a bit chewy. The hummus lacks tahini (sesame paste). It just tasted like chickpea puree with a lemony zing. It lacks the depth and nuttiness from the tahini. Salmon Sashimi in Soy Mirin, Spring Onion, and Sesame. There was nothing spectacular with this dish. It's just marinated salmon with lettuce on top. I was expecting more, especially from a hotel. Jamon Serrano and Mozzarella 'toastini'. This dish was served with shoestring fries, ketchup, and mayo. The white bread toast wasn't really toasted. When it arrived, the bread looks dull and soggy, even when we haven't started shooting. The ham and cheese was good. The bread was a let down. Steamed Chinese Butterfly Bun with Honey, Barbequed Pork, and Cucumber Pickles. It is their charsiu bun. The BBQ pork was nice and tender. The bun was tough. It was like a stale bread. The bum should be nice and soft, similar to the siopao bun. Prawn Tempura with Wasabi Mayo. It was as it is. Tuna Rice Bowl. It's basically tuna sisig over garlic rice. The tuna was cooked just right. It was seasoned well, the flavor is there. The down side is it was oily. The afternoon tea set was presented in a nice, jewellry box with multiple drawers of food that only cost P1,450! Its basically a little of everything from their food menu with additional pastries. I got an oppotunity to try their scones. It was buttery, fluffy in the inside and crusty on the outside. Perfect for any tea pairing. The Poptails was fantastic! Cocktail drinks with the juice popsicle. I had the Limoncello Medley. It was perfect to end the day. It was citrusy and refreshing. Something light in the palette with a touch of alcohol. I was a bit disappointed with all their food, especially coming from a 5-star hotel. The food was ordinary and the prices are extraordinary. The drinks and the view were spectacular. In my opinion, C-Lounge should stick to who they are when they started, a tea lounge in the afternoon and a cocktail lounge at night. #TheFoodCrawlers #OngsFoodprints #TheLostDiego

The best hotel lounge i have been to in a Conrad property. Amazing staff, with incredible hospitality.

I've just recently been getting back into the party scene and out of all the bars / clubs I've been to, the two of them are definitely up there on the fave list. With Pangaea I love the interior and the quality service. Also that you'll be pretty laid back most of the time and just drinking with friends, you can dance if you feel like it. Since I've tried going to both in one night, I can't imagine doing it any other way. Definitely the best way to do it!

Luckily for me, one of my jobs led me to seeing and experiencing Pangaea on it's first few weeks of operation. It's certainly interesting, with scantily clad ladies behind the bar serving up the drinks with ease and an air of confidence that men wouldn't dare attempt to offend or take advantage. There are several couches, available for a minimum spending guarantee, that comes with standard bottle service, which they upped as those who got tables even have a dedicated V.I.P. service managers to ensure you have the best experience possible. There were also ladies going around, dancing on the open spaces and even on the ledges to hype-up the crown and get the party started. Soon after, they were inviting people to dance, which actually worked. Soon after, the dancefloor was full and even those who were still in their respective couches were on their feet and dancing as well.

I enjoy the happy dancey trippy vibe but at the same time I don't like my drink spilled or someone constantly bumping into our table / area because everything's so cramped up. You'd never have that problem with Chaos. There's definitely room for both types of people (dance all night or drink till you're sober). When you go to high-end bars, you usually have expectations like I do. I mean, you should get your money's worth, right? What I'm very keen on is the service and followed by the quality of whatever it is I'm paying for. Definitely worth it. Not sure if they were actual customers or just hired props. To add insult injury, the final bill was 2x the price of the original menu!
