Spoke directly to the company owner James who explained that it was his company and he would be fitting our job if we decided to go ahead with it. We were very impressed at his professionalism and has certainly got his head screwed on when it comes to business. Some of the things he explained i had never heard of before but we were impressed with what he showed us and his proposal of work. The price was a lot less that we thought and couldn't believe how great the kitchen looked after woods. It now looks like a show home and all supplied fitted and rubbish removed for 1200 pounds. I love a great service and i am happy to recommend anyone that gives me such, so on that basis i would recommend James and Modern Kitchen Makeovers to everyone, it is a great idea he has come up with, and during the economic state as it is its great for people like us who want to improve their home without breaking the bank. So I have no idea how much the windows cost or how helpful they were during any process that isn't just the fitting and measuring. Initial communication between us and Window Warehouse was slow; which is actually not their fault. I were sent a letter addressed to the flat not to me personally so I assumed it was junk mail and didn't read it. Two months later, I got a phone from our landlord asking me to call Window Warehouse. We arranged a time for them to come out and do the measurements and they were in and out fairly quick, this would have been around the end of September. They told us that the were aiming to get the windows replaced in about a month. The end of October rolls around and we get a call to arrange an appointment to fit them. Two men came at 8am and were done by 2pm leaving behind nice new windows. Jord and Paul who fitted the windows were friendly and helpful, talking us through what they were doing. The weather was awful and at one point it was raining in my living room but they kindly put down plastic sheeting to protect my carpet. Overall a good experience with Window Warehouse and I love my new windows!

It took 5 calls over 2 weeks before NEO finally accepted liability and sent out a repair team. Less than 3 months later a second locking system has failed in the open position. I cannot close the window securely rendering my home contents insurance null and void. Have called NEO 3 times but each time the become more rude and abrasive suggesting it's not their problem! They have refused to acknowledge my e-mails until I chase them up with more phone calls; they have refused to commit to a repair timescale - actually saying 'I'm not going to commit to a timescale as you will hold me to it' Yes - seriously!!! When I asked for a part number to order a part in myself - they had no idea as they clearly have ignored the detailed information and photographs I have given them. 'If we have to order a part in we will' - so clearly they haven't even checked. Appalling after-sales service; noting that I had 2 neighbours use them on my recommendation and they haven't so much as acknowledged that and clearly are only interested in new business. Do not give them a penny. Appalling.

But in the end I didn't have to look far. A left, a right then down the road and I'm at The Original Flooring Company. The flooring tile I have decimated is actually more common that I might think and a match is made. Apparently if they hadn't had the one available from their reclaimed stock, then some detective work and enquiries with their contacts would have most likely have come up with results. The company also offer a renovation and re-instation service and a design, supply and installation service for encaustic and mosaic floorings, specialising in the Victorian and Edwardian periods.

The last time I went in I needed some clear grout for the kitchen. Had absolutely no idea where to find it, what it was or how to use it. When I turned up in the shop I also had my son in the pushchair. The guys behind the counter patienty explained what I would need, went to get it for me as I couldn't manoeuvre the pushchair round the narrow shelves and then showed me how to use it. Thy even fitted the grout ino the gun thingy for me. Now, that is hat I call service. The price is good, the service great and it's a bit like a DIY grotto, what more could you possibly want from a local shop.

I do like the wallpapers on sale and there so many designs. There are also wallpapers for kids when it comes to decorating their rooms. The paints on offer come in all different colours and sizes so you cannot complain. Prices are reasonable however I did find some of wallpapers to be pricey. The staff who work at Home Zone do know their stuff inside out and they can also provide you with samples of wallpapers for you to look at and take home. Decent place to come to in my opinion if you are looking for decoration equipment/products.
