Before any materials were ordered or work began, we submitted the required application to our HOA for approval. Unfortunately, the HOA denied the request and would only approve a black metal fence. As soon as I received the denial, I contacted Fence Mall and explained the situation. Since I specifically wanted a vinyl fence, I decided not to move forward with the project and requested my deposit back. They agreed to refund it, but told me they would keep 35% of my deposit as a cancellation fee. $600 To my knowledge, no materials had been ordered and no installation work had started because everyone was waiting for the HOA's decision. Despite that, they kept approximately $600 from my deposit. I understand that businesses need cancellation policies, but charging such a large fee before any materials were purchased or work was performed is unfair. I was unable to proceed due to circumstances outside of my control, and I don't believe keeping hundreds of dollars in this situation is reasonable. Specially with todays economy I hope Fence Mall reconsiders how it handles situations like this, because it left me feeling like I paid $600 for absolutely nothing. I encourage anyone considering using them to carefully read the cancellation terms before signing a contract. Or just wait for your association approval before giving deposit ...

Eugene from Nitro Fencing came out to give me an estimate. Eugene the owner acts like a super nice guy and says everything you want to hear. I told him I was waiting to get my driveway installed until my fence repairs and painting was completed. He said that he could have the work done in a couple of weeks. After our first contact and after many phone calls, I had to beg him for a hard copy of my estimate and a date to get the work done. It was 21 days later when I finally got the hard copy of the estimate and it was $200.00 more than what he first agreed upon. Still no date for work to begin. 28 days since our first contact and after more phone calls he finally said the first week in April 2025 would be when he would get it done. 35 days since our first contact I called and asked for what day/days I could expect him to start the job. Eugene said that the job would have to be delayed even longer due to his operation that he went through, not having any workers who would show up etc, etc. When I told Eugene that an acquaintance of mine who got an estimate from him after I did was already given a date for work to begin, and that I was upset with that since I was ahead of her, he lost his cool and canceled the job on me altogether. 35 + days of waiting, having to hunt Eugene down and beg for dates, job priced higher than first promised at time of estimate, lost my spot to get my driveway installed and then Eugene canceled the job altogether like I was the one who was being unreasonable. What a guy that Eugene!!

He set up a cement crew and provided a reasonable bid in a day. Accepted his offer and they had the work done in one day. High quality with proper rebar, molds, land slope, prep and finish work. I was able to install a DIY pergola patio kit over the slab perfectly. Chris and workers were polite, courteous and professional. Highly recommended!
