Then 2 weeks to follow I noticed my front nor the back yard hadn't been cut or edged and the original evaluator (Mark) had said they would be doing weekly cuts. I then decided to call and see if there was an acct/billing issue. I spoke with Barbara and she said they had reported that they cut my yard but couldn't access the back. I then explained that there wasn't any cutting or edging front/back and asked if I could get another appointment with the evaluator (Mark) and she said the following day at 4pm with Mark. I called a week later and Barbara explained that I was irate and had canceled my service when we spoke last.(?) When I explained I hadn't canceled my service and why would I had made an appointment to re-evaluate she said "I beg to differ Sir". Then said "we no long cut grass in your area". Barbara might need to be re-evaluated at this business! Also my guess is they have enough work to match their work load, and new accounts are not important. I normally do not write negative reviews about businesses because I understand that everyone has a bad day from time to time. However, the behavior we experienced from this company today was completely unacceptable and went far beyond simply being rude. A lane was closed while the crew was working. There was a vehicle more than a quarter mile away, so my husband had plenty of time to safely proceed around the work area. Instead, one of the workers stepped in front of his vehicle and refused to allow him to move, while aggressively yelling and using profanity toward my husband. My husband did not respond or say anything to the workers while they continued to curse at him. He simply waited until the approaching vehicle had passed. The worker then yelled that he was not moving and that we could just wait. At that point, I leaned out of my car door and took a picture of the company's name because I wanted to document who we were dealing with. The worker on the bed of the truck then began directing profanity and insulting language toward me as well. I did not say anything to him until he repeatedly called me the "C" word. I asked him if he wanted me to video him calling a woman that name, to which he responded, "Go ahead, you are a C." Before I could even begin recording, the other worker finally moved, and my husband simply said, "Let's just go." We left rather than escalate the situation. I understand that road work can be frustrating and that workers may encounter impatient drivers. However, there is absolutely no excuse for blocking someone's vehicle, aggressively confronting them, repeatedly using profanity, or verbally abusing a customer--especially when the customer has not said anything disrespectful to you. I am sharing this so people in Citrus County can make an informed decision before hiring Clay Pools Tree Service.
