Let me tell you all that everyone who works here is a state employee and not part of a multinational hotel chain!! Pride screams from here. Our golden doodle karma came with us and had a great time meeting new people and making new friends just like we did!! We made so many new friends, it was nothing I had yet experienced! Most of the people we met were repeat guests! We were part of a couples wedding, part of a huge cousins club reunion, one after another of lifetime memories and new lifetime friends. We went as strangers and left as friends. I really can't find a way to say how I feel as we drive home today. Sad that it is over for now and so happy for things to come. If you can, come to Cacapon State Park Resort in West Virginia and stay at the resort or rent a cottage with your family and take in the wonderful wonderland that is this place!!

Located right in the heart of Berkeley Springs, you can walk to all the spots in downtown. The hotel is cozy, with a nice pub on site and spa. it is also just steps away from the Berkeley Springs hot springs, along with the community pool and farmers market. On the latest stay, we got a room in the newer part of the building. It is the less expensive room option, but the room is very spacious. We prefer the older portion of the hotel, in the main building. But you can't go wrong with either spots. I'd recommend getting reservations in advance if hoping to eat on site. The pub has limited seating options. But its well worth the stop.

We opted not to have housekeeping come, so would have been nice to have had a broom or dustpan handy since it's Spring and we were all bringing in mud / dirt on our shoes, but otherwise was well appointed for two people traveling with a dog (altho the 2 little side chairs could have been more comfortable, and it would have been good to have a designated place to put the dogs bowls). The staff was very accommodating when I had to change my reservation, and were all wonderful in-person, too. We ate dinner at the restaurant, which had good home-cooked food, but the young waiter needs training; he came over when we were still eating and asked what we thought about dessert. It wasn't crowded, so I don't understand why we were rushed through our meal. We didn't end up going back because there are so many other dining options in the town or nearby, but it's definitely a plus to have a restaurant on-site when traveling with a dog.

They offer a continental breakfast with a lot of options and a Keurig machine for coffee. There is a nice patio out back overlooking the brook. Parking is easy, free and right outside. The innkeeper was very nice and friendly - happy to chat and answer questions about the area - but did not impose on the guests. So I called the Inwood Hampton Inn again asked nicely after explaining what the current HI Desk Clerk had said. The Inwood Hampton Inn clerk said "Well that is why you should not digitally check in until you are here" I had to take my two overstimulated overtired children to the car crying while they had a complete meltdown in the parking lot as they begged to please let them go to sleep in a bed. I drove thirty minutes away to the Inwood Hampton Inn and put my kids to bed. While the room was clean and organized, I am not staying at this one ever again because I can't think of anything to make up for such behavior from the desk clerk. I don't know why she was rude and disrespectful with both her tone and words but I am definitely disappointed with Hampton Inn Inwood. I wouldn't stay at this Hampton Inn. She booked it weeks in advance and it seemed to be one of the better hotels in the area plus the price was great and they offered free continental breakfast. They also have a nice little area to sit outside in the back to eat, smoke, vape, chat, have a beer, or what not. The lobby was very vibey and colorful and they have beers and wines for purchase as well as snacks and frozen foods, but having a pool table there is probably not the best idea for a hotel as some of the guests were annoying and obnoxious. The room was nice, the tv was a good size, the bed was very comfy, the pillows were not great, but the shower was nice and had amazing water pressure. I thinks it's a nice place but could be way better with more professional employees. Every time I walked by or went to the front desk to ask a question they were either in the office on their phone or behind the desk on their phone. Also, they weren't the friendliest either. The free breakfast is pretty much a joke. I've had better breakfast at a dirty gas station. It's obviously edible and will do the job, but it's not very good in any regards. The location is great because you're away from the hustle and bustle but still close to the highway. The morning breakfast was smaller but they always had something different, breads, meats etc. The pool is kept clean and the cliental is classy. I had one hiccup with a staff member but it was quickly delt with and one night of my stay wa taken off. Clean, good breakfast, nice staff, and lovely location. Disappointing Experience with Reservation Handling…read more I recently stayed at Home2 Suites on May 29, 2026, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing due to issues with my reservation. Upon arrival, my sister and I were assigned a room that was different from what I had reserved. I was informed that my original room was no longer available, despite having a confirmed booking through Priceline. This was both unexpected and frustrating, as I relied on that confirmation to ensure a smooth stay. During my conversation with staff, I was told that the property has been experiencing ongoing issues with Priceline reservations. While I understand that technical challenges can occur, this should not negatively impact guests who have confirmed bookings. It is the hotel's responsibility to either honor reservations or provide an appropriate and comparable solution upon arrival. This situation caused unnecessary inconvenience and disrupted our plans. It also raised concerns about the reliability of the reservation process and overall customer service. I hope management takes this matter seriously and implements corrective measures to prevent similar situations for future guests. Have not heard from the Corporate Office.
