I still really like this place and visit somewhat often, but I do wish they would work on the COSMO!! I've ordered it several times now because I hope to death they finally have perfected it and it's always COMPLETELY different and not good. I've had it taste like candy and the this most recent trip it straight up tasted like cold day old lime juice and was more brown than pink. This drink is really good when made well, y'all. First time visit, surprised that it was during happy hour. Let me explain the reason for only 4 stars is they penalize you for using credit cards and add 4% to your bill. We started with sharing flight of 3 white wines, house pinot grigo, chardonnay and new Zealand sauvignon blanc., $15. We then tried flight of reds, house merlot, cabernet and Bonanza red. Love thier Oddball flatbread, apples, sage, gouda, fig...soooo good. Loved the Bonanza wine and bought 2 bottles to the home...another pleasant surprise rather than the $28/bottle they were half off due to happy hour. They have comfortable seating areas, but we sat at the bar and got educated on different mixed drinks and the use of adding smoke to certain concoctions. Definitely will return. read more

This fantastic gem of a wine bar, located in downtown SCS, is a cozy, relaxed, intimate atmosphere for a pre-dinner sip or night cap and boasts some of the most delicious cocktails I've EVER tasted! The Garden of Eden and Ghost Hunter were phenomenal and the guys loved the smoked old-fashioned. Of course they also have a very nice wine selection, I loved my glass of Pinot Noir! The bartenders and waitstaff were so busy but made sure to take care of us and make every drink exceptional. Our server approached us and said the owner would like to buy us a drink.. he happened to be sitting with his friends at our table the entire time! We chatted with them while listening to the wonderful live music! It was such a fun experience, I can't wait to come back! OMG!!!!! Wow, what a find in SCS. I had plans to meet up with a friend and head downtown . Recently, I've been spending most of my free time in SCS. I drove by this cocktail bar a few weeks ago and made mental note to check it out. Cache has only been open for 5 weeks and to be honest, one would completely miss this spot driving by and that would be a mishap because Cache might be my new favorite hangout. The interior is simple and chic with multiple seating areas arranged with couches and cozy chairs to lounge. The bar is fantastic with plenty of seating. I love the modern, cozy built in fireplace. Let's get to the highlight of my experience...the COCKTAILS! I was so impressed with the extensive list of cocktails & spirits. I decided on the Cache 71, a twist on the French 75, and I think I'm in love with this drink! My friend ordered a St. Clair Shores sour and he seemed to really enjoy his drink, too. The cocktails are on the pricey side, so be prepared for city prices with your craft creation. We didn't have time to stay as we were heading to our next spot, but we do plan to come back and check out the amazing charcuterie boards being served. I'm serious, these boards were over the top and you're able to choose your meats & cheeses. I love this personalized option for the cheese lover in me. I'm even told that one of the owners makes an amazing pie to be served on the side. I can't end this review without mentioning the bartenders. These guys were amazing and so personable. I came here for a Yelp elite event and had a great time! This place is cozy and has a comfortable vibe. There are seats available at the bar and comfy seats all around so you can relax. I saw a piano there so I assume that they have live music. The cocktails were all whisky cocktails I had and they were all good! I usually hate whisky. Actually, I didn't like the whisky sour, but I like the Penicillian, Mint Julip (sp?), and a strawberry lemon drink we had. Great knowledgeable bartender. Really fun time! read more

I don't do reviews, so let's just start with that. My wife and I had a rare opportunity to start happy hour early on a Friday. We were in the area so stopped in for the first time. We were the only ones there (ok, it was 4:13pm) but let me tell you - we are all sleeping on this happy hour!!! To begin with, all bottled wine is 50% off from 4-7. Tu-Fri! Com'on guys. I love this cocktail bar right in my hometown. I don't go very often but when I do I love every cocktail I get. They are made with passion. I love that the menu changes seasonally with a lot of creativity. This most recent visit I got the Candy land 1000/10 I could drink this every day. And my husband got the blue buddy old fashioned I think that's what it was called. Well he really enjoyed that drink as well. If the menu isn't calling to you, the incredible bartenders can always fix something to your liking. I highly recommend this place. Also they do have non alcoholic options as well! read more

I actually learned about this Cocktail and Wine Bar through Yelp, as this was a place I was interested in trying after it was posted for an event that Yelp was hosting a couple of weeks ago. My friends and I decided to try it out yesterday evening after work, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The ambiance, the vibe! I liked the intimacy of the bar. My friends and I wanted drinks before going out to eat. All of us were pleased with our cocktails! Very good! And we also enjoyed the Charcuterie board (we just added a few items: salami, caramelized pecans and aged Gouda). This would be a nice place for a small group for a birthday party (if they allow food); or couples night out, or ladies night out! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and it's a nice location as well. I am often working in this area, so when I was looking for a cocktail, yelp came to the rescue! This is an area I frequent often, so I was surprised that I never noticed this cute cocktail bar! I parked in the back and wasn't at all sure what to expect. The back didn't indicate what a cool spot this was! I was so surprised to see how charming this place was! I got here just as they opened and was the only customer. The Bartender, Shay, was amazing! And my drinks?? They were absolutely incredible!!!! During the summer months, they close the street down and you can walk around with drinks. They put tables outside during those days. They also do a lot of themed promotions in the winter. I got to speak to the owner, and got a sneak peek at some of the changes that are coming soon! This place will look marvelous! Definitely check this cocktail bar out. Cache is a cocktail bar with a great selection of cocktails, spirits, wine, and build your own charcuterie options. The cocktails here are amazing. My husband and I tried a few drinks from their new fall menu, including a rum drink with egg white and pumpkin spice syrup, and a whiskey drink with bananas foster syrup and chocolate bitters. The real star of the menu, though, is the smoked chai old fashioned, which you can choose to have smoked with wood chips or cigar tobacco. We each ordered one and it is 10/10, v cozy and smoky and dangerously smooth--it almost goes down too easy! The bartender was also very attentive, funny, and quick at making these complex and great cocktails. The reason for the one star reduction is just that the vibe isn't there yet. The music is at a perfect volume but feels more suited to a downtown nightclub? And the lights are SO bright, it is definitely not a ~cozy up~ sort of cocktail bar which is how I feel cocktail bars should be! On top of the already bright lights in the main area, there is also the very brightly lit rear entrance hallway to the back which adds more harsh light to the space. There are also not many options for seating besides big chairs which are spaced out kinda far, or the bar. If they toned down the lighting and made it just a touch cozier, this place would be a 5/5 for sure! Either way, we will be back! read more

This is a tough one. This place serves a huge hole in SCS as far as a more polished place to get a well crafted cocktail. Most watering holes in SCS consist of typical bars/burgers/ etc... If you live in the area, and want to take a date to a more upscale place, there's not a lot of options. If you can get beyond the sort of cheesy name of the place, you're up for giving it a try. Drinks were decent. My issue with the place is A) the lights couldn't have been brighter. I mean this place is lit like a tax office. Very bright. Which sort of flies in the face of what it's supposed to be. B). The seating arrangement is odd. It's large clumps of seating. With a ton of gaps and wasted space. If you come with 4-6 people, you're in luck! Lol. If it's you and a date, you have I think one table, OR sit at the bar and stare at the vacant prison tiled blank wall behind the bar. I live in the area, and wanted this place to appeal to me desperately. But it has zero atmosphere in my opinion. Which to me is half the reason you leave the house to have a drink really. read more

This place totally exceeded my expectations!!! I was in from out of town visiting my parents and was looking for a place to go with a friend. There are so many mediocre places around here and I did not have high hopes when I walked in. The decor was a little generic, but the menu had a great selection of classic cocktails as well as some seasonal additions with hilarious names! The bartender was very friendly, interested in talking about the drinks and brought me something great when I couldn't make up my mind! The 90s alternative soundtrack made it even better!
