I prefer my sauce on the side but you can ask for it plain and they will do it. Also on Tuesday they have a fried chicken special. Four pieces for eight dollars. It comes with a side of coleslaw and potato wedges. I believe for an upcharge you can substitute some of the other sides. Staff working here are all fantastic. If you sit at the bar you'll never have an empty drink. It's more of a regulars type place but it won't take long to make friends. The tall gentleman behind the bar was extremely sweet and attentive, and I feel terrible for him because of the dark haired, bigger lady that he had to work with. I have been in the service industry for years and could tell that she was working the "service ticket" aspect of the bar while he was busting his ass taking every other customer. He asked her to take our order because he was obviously slammed, and she looked back at us and said "Who them? No." While my boyfriend was in the bathroom, I even overheard her talking to another couple calling the gentleman that she was working with an "asshole." Really!? He is making all of your money while you make small talk with people sitting at the bar who obviously work there. We asked the tall gentleman behind the bar if they pull their tips, and obviously I knew from working in the bar industry that they did. I even told him that I would tip on my card, and he could pocket the $20 bill that we were trying to give him and he respectfully declined. Working in the bar industry, it is crucial to work together as a TEAM, and we were extremely turned off by the way that the other bartender was treating her coworker. If we do return and that lady is behind the bar, we definitely will not be staying.

Don't expect lounge chairs and that bougie stuff...but the place does feel homely with tables, chairs, and Christmas lights lining the walls. The $10 we paid covered self serve lechon (roasted pig), pancit (so good!), rice and a jello shot before the game started. Drinks are also reasonably priced here too. Even though the fight was nothing exciting, at least the food, drinks and people were great. After the fight, I had a quick chat with the owner to thank him for telling us about the place. The Ovation yacht is three levels of accommodations for 300 people. The event was perfect with a DJ on the top level with an open bar. The second level was the food, lounge areas, photo booth and open bar. The third level was the live band and more food. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the waterways and views of the boats plus the shorelines of both countries. A trip down the Detroit River is such a pretty sight.
