We adopted our sweet, amazing dog from this establishment. The staff was very kind and helpful when we were able to get through on the phone and when we picked him up. 4 stars because it was so difficult to get through on the phone. (Understandable because of the smaller volunteer staff). We had a very good experience adopting. The place looked clean in the front reception area as well as the dog meeting room. Grateful for all the work they do to get these pets adopted. Each time we hav donated they have always sent a nice thank you card too. read more

Do not go to Cache Humane Society for any services. They will overcharge and then refuse to fix it. They are unethical and dishonest. As of January 7th 2021 the Cache Humane website says that they are having a special on vaccines. Each vaccine is $14 or their 3 vaccine bundle is $30. Well seeing this, and having gotten a new puppy, we took both dogs in for vaccinations. Each dog received a Vaccine bundle, one a dog bundle and the other a puppy bundle. Cache Humane then proceeded to charge us $45 for each bundle instead of the advertised $30. I called as soon as I saw this and they said we could go in tomorrow and get $15 refunded from each overcharged bundle. My husband just received a call saying that Cache humane will not be refunding the $15 for each bundle because they claim that special was only available before December 31st, 2020 but their website doesn't say this anywhere. And their vaccine clinic was not open until after Dec. 31st, 2020 due to Covid. read more

I just wanted to post a review to counter the negative ones here regarding the former director. Cache Humane has a fairly new Executive Director, Stacey Coopmans Frisk. They do a great job here with limited staff, a dedicated volunteer crew, and many supporters in the local community. We adopted a senior dog here and the staff were wonderful. Official Best of America voted Cache Humane Society the Best Animal Rescue in Utah for 2019! We agree! read more

Got my sweet 6 year old cat from here a year ago when you were able to go into the cat room and socialize with them. I went in today and honestly might've adopted one if it weren't for the lady at the front desk. We walked in excited to look and she said that unless you're adopting in the next few days you can't see any of the cats. I understand that it stresses them out, but she definitely wasn't very nice. She said if we wanted to see them we had to adopt in a day or two. My husband is military and I wouldn't be able to talk to him about it that soon, so we just ended up leaving. Took my 4.5 month old puppy to get neutered and he was there all day long from when I dropped him off at 8am until 6pm when they closed. If they're going to make dogs wait there all day the need to schedule times to bring animals in because it's not okay to have a puppy not be fed for over 24 hours. read more

I have had a pleasant experience with the Humane Society. After we dropped off our kitten to be spayed we returned later in the day to find some volunteers snuggling her as she was coming out of anesthesia. The staff has always been friendly to me and my family. We enjoy coming and seeing the cats and dogs and have had a positive experience with them. My daughter has been a part of the Four Paws kids club and has really enjoyed it also. read more

I took my cat here to get neutered and when I sent my husband to go pick him up my cat was sitting completely soaked in a pile of his own urine inside the kennel. Then they tell us to not get him wet... Seriously?!?! He is recovering from surgery and this is how he is returned to me. I know it only cost $45 to neuter a male cat here but they are so negligent and obviously aren't truly concerned with the health of the animals they "care for". Pay the pretty penny and get your animals neutered/spayed in an actual vets office where they return animals in a decent condition. I have used the facilities at the Humane society for my dogs over the years. I've even had to retrieve my criminals from them when they got picked up after they escaped my yard. I've always had a great experience with them. They have helped me with immunizations as well as when I've had to make the hard decision to let the dogs be put down due to illness and age. My dogs LOVE the dog park. I like to go and walk with them around the little path while my more adventurous ones go and mingle. They are a great asset to the community in Cache County. read more

This place is the absolute WORST PLACE YOU CAN GO TO. I came here with a group of people and we all brought our dogs and had a picnic. We chose this specific dog park because of the picnic tables and there were no rules about bringing food in. We were eating our food and a couple brought in 2 dogs who followed all of ours and everyone else's dogs around in the park (there were about 5 other people there with their dogs besides us). After their dog finally attacked our dog and wouldn't let go, we called out for help from the owners who were watching and not doing anything. The man came over and threw his dog on the ground and then dragged both of his dogs to the car and left. JOHN EWING (the director) approached us and told us we made a big mistake by bringing our food into their park and that we probably caused the dogs to get aggressive because we were eating at a picnic table (which he said were meant for decoration) He told us to immediately leave and that we aren't allowed back because our dogs were being aggressive. We asked to file a complaint and he told us that was not an option for us. He laughed at us and kept repeating you need to leave over and over. JOHN EWING along with all of the desk ladies laughed at us and told us "we have no other option than to ignore you and get you to leave" because that man, who's dog was extremely viscous said that our dogs were the problem. THE WORST STAFF I HAVE EVER SEEN ANYWHERE. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. One of the desk ladies started yelling repeatedly at me and my mom "YOU NEED TO LEAVE GET OUT NOW!" The funny thing is her daughter (who was 5 and running around unsupervised at the park the entire time) had watched the whole thing happen and continued to tell us we didn't do anything wrong and that the man who called and complained shouldn't have even brought his 2 dogs and that we hadn't done even one thing wrong and that she has food in that park plenty of times before. We finally left after they called the cops on us. We love animals and we love humans society's, but these people are awful and extremely insulting and obviously hate their jobs. John was definitely THAT GUY who sits in his office all day and binge eats without lifting a finger. Just awful awful people. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. John Ewing is the director for this place and he was awful to my family. We took our dogs to their beautiful dog park that was filled with many sweet dogs. Our dogs love to play and socialize and were getting along with every dog they met. A man and his wife brought their dogs into the park. Their dogs went around and bit almost every dog at the park. They came to our picnic table and continued to antagonize our dogs. They even tried to bite us. They left and filed a complaint with John about our dogs. He came to us and told us that food was not allowed at this park and that because two complaints were filed we had to leave. (No signs were around to make it clear that food was not allowed, their website even encourages the "picnic" tables) We agreed to leave and asked if we could make a complaint. He ignored and continued to talk over us. All the other dog owners had left after the two dogs that were biting everyone. The only one who stayed told the director that our dogs were not the problem, but he again chose not to listen. We went into the office where John and his coworkers refused to listen to our side of the story. He talked down to us and even said that he refused to listen to us. They laughed and pointed. We went to get our parents who were volunteering inside. When they came out John's attitude completely changed. He was still rude, but was obviously calmer now that our parents were there. They screamed at us to leave and called the cops without EVER listening to our side. I will NEVER go back. This is a beautiful park, but sadly the staff has no idea how to behave like mature adults. So unprofessional and disrespectful. They didn't even know what kind of dogs we had. They called our boxers, pitbulls even after we told them they're full bred boxers. read more
