We have been giving breaks to dogs who have been in Nuzzles too long. Hippo loves people but is selective with other dogs and no cats.

The staff is very caring and really have a passion for the animals in their care. Nuzzle is a no-kill adoption center and rescue. When you make an adoption, your fees go toward helping others Nuzzle is helping. Nuzzles is a 501(c)4 and can also accept tax deductible donations. Currently Nuzzles has dogs, cats, and pigs. Not too such is a pet is right for you? Nuzzles offers fostering opportunities as well as day "field trips" if you're headed on a hike or a run. The staff is very knowledgeable about the animals in there care, so ask questions about who might be a great fit in your home. Adopt don't shop!

We drove up to the ranch, met the puppy, and were given a very complete file with all his health records.

I have a special place in my heart for anyone or any organization that cares for helpless…read moreanimals....especially pets that need a home! The people who run this organization are incredibly charitable and put so much effort into these dogs and cats. I recently visited and they had three dogs available. They were happily running around inside their enclosures outside under the shade of the tree. There were lots of other dog runs/kennels that looks much smaller, but also like they were no longer in use. There were not a lot of animals to choose from-but maybe that's because they all found homes or were in foster homes when we visited. Hopefully that's the case-and they are getting closer to their goal of No More Homeless Pets!

They truly are concerned about pets. I have so much positive to say about Rhonda and Second Chance…read morefor Homeless Pets. I've adopted three kittens from them. The kittens were always very well taken care of and you could tell that they came from quality foster homes. Very reasonable, adoption fees, spayed, and neutered and current on vaccinations. I've also had the pleasure of fostering kittens with Second Chance. The owner does what she says and supplies you with everything you need to take care of the animals. The commitments are not long and she is able to take the animals back as promised and on time. I recently was in there, and there was a woman trying to adopt a dog. It was obvious the woman did not have a home. The owner was not going to allow the woman to adopt the dog because she did not have a safe place for the dog to live. Although the woman was very upset, the owner was very professional and kind as she explained that she could not in good conscience adopt a pet out that didn't have a safe environment. percent she is concerned about the welfare of the animals. I will always refer people to them whether they're in the market to adopt an animal or if they're interested in fostering or volunteering there it's a great place with low overhead and a lot lot of love.!

We couldn't be more pleased with our experience adopting our wonderful dog from this shelter. We…read morestopped in on a weekday to see what animals were available and were met by a helpful staff member who introduced us to the dogs one by one. This was particularly appreciated, as some of the other shelters just have you wander around by yourself. It was great to see a big outdoor space for the dogs to play in as well. We went home with a few dogs in mind, but decided we wanted to follow up with one sweet dog in particular and decided to go back over the weekend to adopt her. We called ahead of time, and learned that she was actually at a Petco as part of an animal adoption event. We headed out to Petco, where we met several of the friendly and helpful adoption staff. They had all of the dog's papers in order and were able to walk us through a bit of her history as well. It was easy to see how invested the staff was in finding a good home for each animal, particularly the older dogs who are often more challenging to place in new homes. The paperwork was quick and easy, and we even got a discount on the adoption fee as part of the Petco event, so we were able to spend a little more on toys and treats. We got our girl, an 8-year-old pointer, and as we write this review, she is snoring away in her new bed, happy as a clam in her new home. This animals at this shelter seem very well-cared-for (for example, they were able to help our dog gain weight after coming to the shelter on the skinny side, and they serve the dogs a higher quality food than some other places), and the staff appear to give each animal a healthy dose of personal attention. It was actually a little heartbreaking to see the staff say goodbye as we walked out of the store with our new pet. Thank you Utah Animal Adoption Center, for keeping animals safe, happy, and healthy under your care and for working so hard to find great new homes for them all!
