However, the management is simply atrocious and unforgiving, especially considering this is for K-12 dancers who have other commitments. In November of 2012, I was accepted to go tour Washington, D.C. on scholarship with my United States Representative. Obviously, that's an incredible and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Unfortunately, it meant that I was going to miss a Ward Christmas party performance. I told the management in October about my trip. Nothing was done about it and two weeks before the performance, they were scrambling to find someone to learn my position. Instead of cooperating with me, I was replaced on the High School team that I had tried out for and paid to be on by two Jr. High girls (the daughter of the costumer and her best friend) not only for the performance that I missed and the following concert (which I would have understood, because I missed the penultimate practice as well), but for the remainder of the year. It was absurd. Despite my complaints, the manager would do nothing. In addition to this, my brother joined a team for a semester in 2012. The coach decided to choreograph in a somersault... at 6'1", my brother's physique is not able to easily do somersaults. He was hurting himself just trying. The coach wouldn't change the choreography to accommodate his team, and the manager would only lecture my brother for not doing it. Eventually my brother was literally kicked off of the team because he wouldn't 'cooperate.' I would look elsewhere for ballroom dance lessons.

Those years covered many different maturity levels and the drama associated with teenage life added lots of opportunities to grow both socially and physically. The staff at DCB were always there to partner with us in parenting our kids through incredible dance seasons. DCB is a great place to learn and also coach your kids in their talents.

As a venue that espouses family values, we found the Pickleville Playhouse production of The Ballad…read moreof Butch & Sundance insulting and offensive. The theater itself misrepresents the play's content as follows: "Rating Equivalent: G a rootin' tootin' good time for the whole family" (from the Pickleville Playhouse website, emphasis mine). We will not return to the Pickleville Playhouse because this production shoved these inappropriate values in the faces of children. The script and performances were not clever nor witty, and they certainly were NOT innocent fun. We will advise everyone we meet not to support this theater with their hard-earned money

Plan on two hours for each show. Bathrooms are outside the theater but spacious and clean. I saw Dangerville on my first visit and then Newsies on my second visit. Dangerville is locally written with some improv and inside jokes about Utah, they have a pianist accompanying whole show. Newsies is Disney, very beloved by musical theater lovers; this was the best live performance of Newsies I've seen to date. All cast members are exceptionally talented with their singing, dancing, and acting, so any show at Pickleville is worth going to. Most cast members come from outside of Utah and are performing arts majors or professional performers.

While adding their own flair of production, choreography and vocals, the cast and crew did a great job in keeping this show true to the perfect blend of science fiction, horror, camp, and sexuality that has created a cult following and dedicated fanbase. There are no rules when it comes to The Rocky Horror Show and The Ziegfeld Theatre's production embraced this along with its fanbase. The actors responded to the callouts and made it part of the experience. They impressed this diehard fan and the "virgins" in the audience. The show had great new twists to the characters and scenes while staying true to the tradition of this science fiction double feature. We wait for it next year in Antici......Pation.
