Let me just start out by saying that they are getting 3 stars on the merit of poor communication…read moreinvolved. What was supposed to be logically simple ended up being a complete nightmare. I was involved in a not at fault accident in January when a Lexus of Richmond Hill driver crashed into my car while he was turning left. Luckily, we were all okay but it left me with a whiplash injury that was diagnosed by my MD and physiotherapist/chiropractor at Apple Creek. At the beginning of my visits, I was ill informed about the fact that my claims would not be submitted by them and that it would be this huge lump sum that I'd have to pay at the end. In fact, I was never told this clearly at all. My treatment lasted from January to April 2017 and at the end of those treatments, nobody mentioned anything and I was under the assumption that they were going to take care of the paperwork for me. 4 months later, in August, I received an e-mail telling me I needed to settle up a $972 invoice. Naturally, I was shocked because this isn't chump change. When I initially communicated through e-mail, I was given unclear solutions and answers as to what I should do so I finally phoned both my EHC and Apple Creek. When I spoke to Apple Creek on the phone, they admitted to the fact that they were actually changing management/infrastructure and to make *their* lives easier, they were telling "certain clients to file their claims themselves". They then told me that I could just file it online and no matter how many times I told them that I was on an individual plan and I *didn't* have an online portal, they just wouldn't listen. I finally paid the $972.25 that I was "owing" to put an end to this huge long nightmare of dealing with this and ended up having a huge interest owing on my credit card because of that. Once that was said and done, everything else happened at a reasonable time including reimbursement by both them and my EHC. In terms of therapists there, I've had a chiropractor and two different massage therapists. Both massage therapists were good although Jeanette really was excellent. Livia was my chiropractor and she was also professional and friendly. Overall, on the basis of just clinical practice alone, I can see why they get good reviews but this whole insurance thing has just been a series of poor communications that made my life very difficult; and this is the sole reason why I am so upset about this situation. Had I been informed about this from the VERY beginning of my treatments, it would given me a clearer idea of whether or not I was going to go forth with treatments in this practice because at the end of the day, I'm very focused on efficiency and ease of services for the client. So finally, 10 months after my accident, this has all been resolved but unfortunately, I will not be returning here for my needs and will seek care elsewhere should the need arise again.

As a powerlifter, one works through the aches and pains, but once in while you need to get it all relaxed for you so you can keep lifting all the things. I am THE WORST for scheduling a regular massage because it would be so regular I'd go broke. So I wait until urgent pains come up, like when my messed up left side go super messed up, to a point where it would hurt to move. My regular place didn't have any available appointments for the day I needed it or the day after, I thought I'd give Apple Creek Sports Medicine Centre a call to see if they'd be able to fit me in. And they did. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment and since it was my first time, I had to fill out intake forms, pretty standard. I was greeted by as staff at the reception desk, she was very friendly and I really appreciated that. They have a water cooler available at the waiting area, the waiting area is very clean. You look right into large space where they a lot of the physiotherapy happens. My therapist Sean came to get me at the time of my appointment, gave me a brief assessment of the more problematic areas and told me how the treatment will proceed. My massage with Sean was very good, he focused on the areas that was the cause of me going in, but he also reserved time to give attention to those spots that tend to get less attention, like the pecs that are often left last and sometimes even missed because time ran out. I've had one other treatment with Sean and his method is consistent. My treatment was about the same and I really enjoy that. Rested a few days and went back to the gym to get "dem gains". Their massage therapy services does cost a few dollars than average, but since I'm not good at planning ahead for this things, it's just the price I have to pay.

You might not be able to stop the punishing passage of time, but at least you can get your body better adapted to it. Myodetox is the perfect place to help you with that. I've been going to Myodetox for months, and let me tell you, they absolutely know what they're doing here. My physiotherapist, Sabrina, is fantastic and I have been going to her regularly for months now. I've gotten random aches and pains magicked away in a 30 minute session. I have fixed issues that lasted for years in the span of weeks. She actively listens to your issues and prescribes the best treatment to target them by employing a mixture of hands-on treatment, exercise assignments, and even acupuncture. I also recently started seeing their new RMT, Mateo, and he's a perfect addition to anyone's wellness journey. I've had massages before, even massages at doctor's clinics, and yet none of them felt as clinical and effective as Mateo's. You're not just lying on a table and falling asleep for an hour. Mateo asks you about your problems, actively treats them, and (much like the physio sessions) assigns you homework exercises to keep the problems away. My back will be eternally grateful to his work. Myodetox definitely is on the higher range of the price spectrum but you will get the most bang for your buck. And if you've got benefits, there is no better place to use them!

The hot stone massage was SO relaxing... definitely my favorite part. And the Golden Crown head spa is one of those "just lay there and enjoy" experiences--no effort needed at all. I didn't expect much going in, but I left feeling a lot more relaxed and refreshed. Would come back when I need a break from everything

I visited the clinic in person to book my first appointment. I let them know what I wanted to have looked at, then they promptly scheduled me in with one of their available doctors. They appear to have enough doctors on staff that finding openings isn't the hassle it often is. During my first appointment, I let my doctor know that I was experiencing some knee pain. I further explained that I couldn't quite pinpoint the causal event. After some short conversation about the type of pain, where it was located specifically, a discussion of what activities would aggravate the injury, and direct stimulation of the area, she was able to identify the cause and explain to me in approachable terms what the injury was. But what good is a diagnosis without relief, right? The first treatment started with some massage therapy to the knee and surrounding muscles. She then made use of a "shock therapy" machine, which is a tool used to rapidly impact the injured area, thereby breaking up scar tissue. What I'm told is a "class four" laser was used to stimulate healing. Importantly, she also introduced me to several exercises, meant to strengthen associated muscles so that I could avoid a similar injury in the future. To be honest, after the first appointment, I didn't feel much difference if any, but regardless, I gave it a second go, and thank God I did. We essentially went through the same procedure again, and as if by magic (but actually science) I felt zero pain by the end of the session. Sadly I'm not Wolverine, so this complete relief was temporary, but the progress was undeniable. All in all the experience was very positive. I should say that I've never been to see a chiropractor prior to this experience, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. That being said, I think they do fine work here, and I'd be happy to recommend them.

I sprained my neck on the Go Train (yes on the Go Train, can you believe that?!) prior to my business trip and I felt very uncomfortable. My whole neck, shoulder and upper back were so tight. Thank god I found Dr. Choi and Dorothy Ho! Dr. Choi is a chiropractor at this clinic and she knows her stuff, a few shock here and there with the machine (I don't have a science background!), massage and neck adjustment really eased the tension a lot. She also teaches you a lot of stretch moves to strengthen the impacted area so you feel better quicker and prevent future injuries better. To help speed up the recovery process, she introduced me to the RMT that works at the clinic also, Dorothy Ho. Dorothy Ho is probably one of the best massage therapists i had, the initial visit assessment was very detailed and once you lay on the massage bed just a few push here and there and she already knows which area is tight and require a work on. She did my whole upper back, shoulder and neck so well that I felt a lot better the next day despite the soreness. Overall, MSK clinic is very professional, clean and client oriented! This will now my go to place to get my massage and chiro treatments! Make sure you call to make an appointment in advance!

Dr.Chow was very patient in getting to know the details of the incident in addition to my treatment history and was very meticulous in explaining each procedure and the possible side effects associated with Chiropractic treatments. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Derek Chow to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals." To my surprise they simply just told me Dr. Chow only meets the patients if your injury is sports related. Really?! I felt that this is misleading because the number one reason I gave this place a try was because I thought I was going to be assessed by the doctor himself. Secondly, the straw that broke the camel's back was their scheduling. I was there on a Friday and I booked a second visit for the following Friday. My injury is due to postpartum baby care pains and so I had to make alternative arrangements for a babysitter to babysit my newborn in order to attend my next session. They called me 2 days before saying they aren't able to see me anymore Friday because there was a scheduling error. This had caused me $45 to cancel with my babysitting service less than 3 days in advance. Friday comes, receptionist called me but I missed their call and she left me a voicemail at 5:30pm asking if I was still going to go in for my 5pm appointment?!? I don't get it, why call to ask me that when you cancelled? I would not recommend this business.
