Wouldn't recommend staying here. Checked into our room and as soon as we enter noticed a dead roach on top of the dresser and found couple more at the bathroom. We complained to the guy with the dog he showed us another room but it had a live roach then showed us another room didn't notice any roaches but the room reeked of cigarettes smells it wad bad also had holes on the walls. We didn't even feel comfortable taking off our shoes cause it was still dirty and disgusting. The next day we noticed a small baby roach moving and found couple dead more roaches. This place was the worst experience hotel we ever dealt with. This place needs to be badly renovated. read more

My brother passed away in one of their apartments. They refused to allow me his possessions so I could get his ss# so I could file a death certificate. Without that I cannot gain access to his banking to pay for the clean up of his two week dead fluids in the floor. Yes he laid there dead two weeks!) They were awful people. Poor management. Maintenance isn't any better. They "attempt" to remedy problems. Owner, SK Parks and his wife, Jane, don't do much to fix things around here. I've been here for a month (cheap rent) in a suite. I got bugs the day after maintenance came and sprayed and my tub has been draining slow for over a week now. SK is cool when you're NOT complaining about something. But as soon as you start complaining, he turns mean and defensive. Not professional. And every staff member from owner to housekeeping are up in your business. Things have been stolen from me while staying here. Do yourself a favor and go spend your money elsewhere. I have a video of my tub draining but can't upload to here via the post. Will try another way. Maybe on Google. I'm moving as soon as I can find another place. read more

Basic accommodation including Wi-Fi, Dish Network digital cable, microwave & mini fridge. Longterm rentals available though I didn't investigate the terms. My week long stay was comfortable & safe. The management was very friendly and agreeable to extending my reservation from a short stay through the week, when work required it. I was offered a competitive price to online bookings. The room offered comfortable A/C & heat. The room was serviced each day, while some bigger chains still limit linen service based on CV-19, to weekly if not self-service. The management has made large strides to limit the trouble makers who used to make use of the property. As well as maintaining the up keep required of even a moderate travel motel. The room was cleaned daily & I saw no signs of bugs or pests. I choose the location for budget & value. I would definitely recommend this location for an budget conscience traveler and anyone just needing a good, safe nights stay. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting. Walking into the place it was super sketchy. There were people on drugs lingering around. When I ask if the area is safe the receptionist got really mad and got an attitude. I was simply looking for comfort to know if I was making the right choice. After this happend I quickly went to my vehicle, and as I was leaving a car tried to follow me. If your a person just on a road trip looking for somewhere cheap to stay, a woman, or have kids, I highly encourage you not to stay here. It is super unsafe and the staff is extremely rude. So bad. Three of us booked a room. Several cockroaches running around, AC didn't work too well, water damage everywhere, they say they offer breakfast but we discovered that they still don't, and my cousin woke us up in a panic at 2 in the morning because there were multiple people shooting up drugs outside and in cars. Lots of erratic behavior and plenty of reason to fear for safety. We left as soon as possible. Only got a half refund. Please please do not book here. read more

I had not actually made a reservation yet because the owner, SK, wanted to meet my 5 pound shih tzu first. On the day I planned to come in, I got the flu. He called me and we rescheduled for the next day. That day at about 5:30a, I was (am) still very sick I called to tell him, and he got very angry with me, telling me this was "not normal" and to find another place. He is a very poor communicator lacking social skills. Would not be comfortable staying there with an owner who is rude and is so easily angered. DO NOT STAY HERE. A family friend was in town for a hunting trip and this is one of the only hotels in town. I use the term "hotel" loosely, as this place should be condemned. Our friend is covered head to toe in bed bug bites and had to leave behind thousands of dollars worth of hunting clothes that are now infested with bugs. The maintenance staff actually came into the room and sprayed down the mattress with PESTICIDE while he was still there, and was showing him where the bugs had been previously discovered on the mattress. I mean, WHAT?! They clearly know there is a problem and aren't fixing it. When our friend asked for his money back, the man at the front desk told him to go f**ck himself! This place is a slum and needs to be torn down. I have reported this to the health board and I will not rest until this place is shut down. Holy Bed Bugs!!! The staff is super nice but you get what you paid for. By the time we checked out I had at LEAST 10 bug bites on me.

the owners were nice at first, but i checked in at around 9pm and then around 1:45 am i had to kill a roach in my room. i was gonna let it slide if it was just one but in the next ten minutes i saw another so i started packing up my shit- it grossed me out! i had to kill a THIRD when i was about to leave a little after 2. then when i contacted them for a refund they're telling me they can only refund me $20 (i paid 65) because i didn't check out as i was leaving so they have that i left at normal check out time. i mentioned to him the sign on their office door that says they're closed from 2-6 am, he says he's there 24 hrs (no one was in the office at the time i was leaving, i checked because the expedia attendant i spoke too about a refund asked me to go up and check since they couldn't get anyone on the phone. no wonder they have roaches they're cheap as fuck. super irritating. read more

So the management and staff were nice. I was there 1 time prior for one nite and then the 2nd time during an outage we had for 2 nites. He had many other offers for the rooms but he said due to my situation and how much worse off i was, he let me have it instead. It was empty but had not been cleaned yet but I advised I had no where to go and I would be happy to clean it for him. He let me. But due to the age of the property and various pple there were cochroaches. The calking was molding and various holes everywhere. But they are fixing them up as they can. It was good for its price and a lifesaver due to the situation. There were no other hotels with availability and the manager was willing to save this room for me. If u do stay here , just be sure to bring your own spray. But I would stay again for the staff themselves. read more

My husband is a Copperas Cove native, and we came home to visit for a few days. WE had our little dog with us, and decided to stay at a local motel and hopefully save a few dollars. We were quoted $50.00 per night + $10.00 for the dog. We signed in, and went to the room. First the smell hit us, then we entered the dreary lit room and saw the gross carpet. Looked at the bathroom, pulled back the shower curtain, and that was all I could take. That tub hadn't been cleaned in months! It was gross! soap scum ring, faucet covered in scum, moldy curtain. EWWWW I didn't even WANT to look at the sheets on the bed. We went back and the clerk refunded our money. He was very nice and understanding -- the only good thing about this flop house. We didn't know it was a rent by the month place -- that explained all the shady characters hanging out in the parking lot. My skin crawls just thinking about it! Before arriving here, I googled Cactus Inn. I saw a very good review (the same review in several sites). Now I'm SURE it's a fake review. read more

This place is old and right next to the railroad tracks. If you want a quiet nights rest, this place is at the busyest intersection in town.

We were going to Cove for a funeral.. and our driver had gotten off of work (night shift) and we went straight there.. and the funeral was a few hours after we got there.. Well check in time was at two and they worked with us and let us check in at 1030am! which was fantastic because our driver got to sleep while we got ready! The train cannot be heard while sleeping and isnt very loud while awake. You cannot hear the traffic either.. Yes it is at a busy intersection.. but when ur in the room, you cannot tell. The price was unbeatable! There were a lot of close fast food restaurants around. I have to say the only thing better than the room was the customer service. It was absolutely wonderful and i owe a big thank you to them for working with us. read more

Newly renovated, new beds, mini fridge, microwave, large tv, cable with HBO and internet for only 40 bucks? What's not to like! The last user review was not helpful. I went there myself to see what it was like. The railroad is not RIGHT by there but it is near. I did not hear it while i was sleeping. The hotel had a large outdoor swimming pool during spring/summer season which you can't find at any of the hotels in Copperas Cove. FREE internet- need I say more? Not to mention this is the most affordable hotel in cove with all amenities included. I haven't found a better deal yet! Not to mention, they allow pets for a small fee! None of the other hotels I have stayed at even allowed pets! This is especially important for me. I bring my little schnauzer with me everywhere. Every intersection is a busy intersection when the military is out from work so this applies to every hotel in cove. The previous user who posted has obviously never stayed at this hotel. What was described is what you can see from the street. He can't even spell LOL. Seriously. read more
