We looked into every Montessori w/in a 25 mile radius (Wilton, Ridgefield, Danbury, Newtown, Washington) and the Toddler/Primary programs here are second to none. The school is not too big, so you feel you're part of a family. There is something so special here and you feel it as a parent the moment you walk in, but your child experiences it, too. We saw this during observations and we're experiencing it now as parents. It's important to know several things about Montessori schools. 1. Not all are created equal and each is independently owned/run. This means some adhere more or less to Montessori values/principles. RMS is a beautiful balance, adhering to the principles while making room for modern needs and allowing each child to grow but also, to be. 2. As in any school setting, the teachers make or break it. The Teachers in every room/program here are beyond plugged in, nurturing, warm and caring. AND, they work very collaboratively while still minding their individual programs. This means a holistic approach for your child as they grow through the years. My daughter embraces each of them and speaks so highly of them outside of school. She looks up to them but doesn't view them as simply 'adults' or teachers. These are her guides and she is so thankful for her relationships with each one of them. I did see a review from several years ago mentioning 25 students to a class/teacher. Not only is that not the Montessori method, but it has never been the ratio at this school (nor do I believe it's allowed by the state in these settings, but I could be wrong). For interested parents: In each Toddler room (2), you're looking at about 10-12 kids with 2-3 teachers/class (depending on enrollment each year) so usually a 1:4ish ratio and the Primary room (used to be 2, is now 1 large room broken up into 2 sections to follow core Montessori method) you're looking at about 30-36 kids total with 4 Teachers and the class is somewhat split into 3s/4s Section and then 5s Section w/2 teachers focused on each at any time. You're still at a 1:8 ratio roughly, so not sure where the 1:25 ratio came from. In any case, we're active and present and have seen this school from all angles and truly, couldn't be happier. The physical space itself is also beautiful, pristine and built for kids (bathrooms in the Toddler room, bathrooms right outside the Primary class). The biggest issue we're facing is what comes after RMS as we've yet to find anything in the area that is suited to follow. We hope others will take the time to come see for themselves what makes this school, the teachers, the program and the students so [truly] magical. These years should be spent exploring through play, not rigid curriculum, and RMS has made good on that every step of the way while still exposing these littles to the world around them in a way that engages them and lays a foundation for a true love of learning. My son went to the school from when he was 1 years old when they used to have an infant room all the way until Kindergarten. My son is now in public school and misses RMS very much. It was like a family to him and the relationships he made there were wonderful. We loved how independent and creative he became all due to the Montessori way of teaching. He is currently thriving now in public school because of the foundation he was taught. They also have very flexible hours for working parents which was very useful. He loved the after school activities like cooking and science. He would beg to stay late. The staff and teachers are the best! You won't regret your decision to send your children here!

The instructors/trainers are out of this world. They cater to every single level (which is very challenging I have heard from other parents who have come from other barns). I consider myself very fortunate to have paired my daughter up with this riding team. My daughter loves to go there even on days she is not riding for the camaraderie. In addition to the fantastic training, they also have a great culture, the barn consists of really cool girls and great parents. Then they matched me with an amazing horse, and got me back in the show ring! Not only was I showing again, but they managed to train me to MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIPS! Including an Adult Medal Final and TWO year end hunter championships! I can't wait to see what 2019 will bring! Amazing trainers, fabulous horses, and the property is gorgeous! Beach area by the big pool has all that have green scum on it the men's locker room, disheveled…read morepeople at the front desk have no idea where anything is rude people in the gym upstairs and athletic guy...I can't believe he works there so rude definitely nicer places to be though the senior management exceptionally nice. I think they just need some training. These people think they're doing you a favor if you're spending 1200 bucks a year they need retrain anything at the attitude I'll never join.

I started at RSD at age 3 in pre-ballet and loved it so much I continued through all my schooling until I graduated from RHS in 2015. I then went on to graduate from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance in 2019 and spend the next 4 years in a professional ballet company Ballet Quad Cities. In addition to providing top quality, pre-professional training, RSD provides a safe and fun place that gives so many a chance to thrive. I can't say enough positive things about the enchanted garden! My son was at a camp in town that I…read morewas extremely unhappy with, I called the enchanted garden and they immediately found a spot for him in their summer program. I told them that the last camp he attended told me he was "very shy and they could barely get him to talk". On the very first day at the enchanted garden my son walked in and out of the school with a huge smile on his face. The teacher then told me that he wasn't shy at all and wasn't "slow to warm up", as I told her he would be. It just goes to show when your child is in a supportive, safe and creative environment with amazing teachers, they can truly shine. The teachers, Judy and Marcia, are true professionals in their field. Their background in the arts and working with children is apparent. I'm thrilled that I made the choice to send my son here, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a school where teachers give 1:1 attention to each child and allow them to blossom at their own pace.

My daughter participated in multiple…read moreballet camps and classes when she was 2 and 3 years old old as well as the gym class with Ms. Karina and the international summer camp. We have never been disappointed, in fact the summer camp was my daughters favorite (she did 4 different camps last summer! and we continued to add on additional weeks at Enchanted Gardens as she loved being there so much). Ms Judy and Ms Marcia are wonderful with the children and the day is filled with creative activities. I only wish they had an option to start at 9am for all of the weeks!

Beka is a rare find. I didn't expect our child to learn more with our first one hour private lesson…read morewith coach Beka than the 5 hrs of private lessons he had taken with another coach (not affiliated with Beka Tennis Academy) . We were looking for an after school class to complement his private lessons and decided to give Beka a try to see if he would be a nice fit for our family. And after the group classes we have decided that for our son's benefit it would be best to only learn with coach Beka and, do the private lessons as well as the group classes only with him. We have invited our son's friends and they have all loved their classes and asked to come back . My husband and I are also planning to join the adult group classes. What we love about Beka is that he is fun and at the same time rigorous. The kids love him, but he still finds a way to instill discipline while fostering their love for tennis. Beka is not only a very talented coach, but he is a family man, as well as a great human being. Maia the academy coordinator, is amazing as well. She responded to our emails promptly and it was a breeze to communicate and schedule the lessons. The clay courts are nice , surrounded by trees across from a Country Club. The surroundings are peaceful. Can't wait to see our son grow as a Tennis player and as an even better human with Beka as his coach and mentor.

He is able to work with all ages and skill levels…read more Beka was my first coach and he improved my game tremendously, unfortunately, we are no longer in the same state or I would continue taking lessons from him. Beka is very patient and has the ability to quickly identify and fix problem areas in your game. I think one of Beka's strengths is the ability to make tennis fun. He knows when to be strict with a student and when to ease off so as not to turn someone off from the game he has so much love and passion for.
