The kids are happy to go to school, they have developed strong relationships with their teachers, peers and administrative staff. My three year old comes home teaching us new songs (affirmation song, months of the year, days of the week, etc). The staff is attentive to the kiddos needs and go ABOVE AND BEYOND with their thematic weekly units with developmentally appropriate activities (sensory bin, open-ended play, show and tell, keepsake worthy arts and crafts). These are memorable learning experiences that will set the foundation for their educational career. Oh and did I mention they get to play outside because there is an outdoor space? The staff is always looking for ways to create positive learning experiences for the kids (i.e firetruck came to the center, farm animals, Halloween parade, etc.) They are also VERY receptive to feedback. We are so grateful for Children's Academy. Special shout out to: Ms. Nancy, Ms. Rebecca, Ms. Angel, Ms. Tiara, Ms. Monica, Ms. Safia, Ms. Gabbi, Ms. Lindsay, Ms. Kate, Ms. Laura for taking such great care of our babes as if they were your own.

We've had positive experiences almost everywhere we've been, but never so much help, support and consideration for working parents. The sheets, laundry on site, keeping frozen bottles and communal bibs made things sooooo much easier for this full time working mom of 3. And it was great to have a digital log of the eating and diaper changes. We hope our youngest will be able to be a drop in some day!

My son started at CKS in November of 2018. We were pushed out of a Montessori that we were in b/c…read morethey didn't allow therapists in to work with their students (he was aging out of E.I.). This was a few months into the school year, so I set out to find a school ASAP. I toured two others in the area, most of the schools I tried were already filled. Luckily I was able to get a hold of Ester who is the owner, and runs the school. I think upon hearing my situation, she took sympathy on my plight, and was able to get my son in. For that alone I will forever be indebted to her, but also for creating this incredible environment for every child that is lucky enough to attend school here. My son has thrived here, has made some great friends, and the parents are all great too. It is family run, and some of her kids work there, or have worked there. The staff is excellent too. They're all just so sweet and kind, the children and parents love them. They have chickens, two baby sheep, and a tractor to go for rides on. They're very big on outdoor play which I really LOVE - no matter what the conditions are (sans wind). They do sports in the morning to get the kids going, and they love it. The teachers make home cooked meals for breakfast and lunch every day (it is a nut free environment). Not having to think about what I am making my son for breakfast, snack, or lunch five days a week is a life saver. It also helps knowing its homemade and healthy. It is truly a remarkable place. They're also up to date on the times with everything they do there from the books, the toys, to activities and even their app for the school - Brightwheel. It gives you updates, pics, and videos of your child's day to day school life. You can message the school within the app and vice versa. This school is a magical place, and if you are ever able to send your child here, consider yourself hitting the preschool jackpot. My son literally asks me to go to school on some days when he is not there. It's that good!

I am so glad I didn't assume that a daycare model pre-school wouldn't be as good! . I don't know how he could have learned any more over the past 18 months -- he is reading, speaks some Spanish, has learned great social skills and how to be a good friend, etc. And he eats the daily homemade food, trying all kinds of food he won't try at home. Coming from NYC, we never thought we'd end up at a family owned daycare, but we could not be happier we found CKS. The director/owner is wonderful, and her team a mix of her family (son and husband), as welll as fabulous, warm teachers who seem to really WANT to be teachers and are educated as such. My son is very ready for Kindergarden!! And for working parents, other than 2 weeks in the summer and a week at Christmas, this school is always open -- even during crazy snowstorms this year, they were open, allowing us to work when we needed to.

Our daughter absolutely adored her. Lisa was always available whenever I had questions, responded quickly, and collaborated closely with our daughter's other therapists to ensure she received the best possible support. From the very beginning, they formed a wonderful connection, and over time, Lisa became much more than a therapist--she became a true friend to our daughter. Even now that we've moved away, Lisa still takes the time to chat with her from time to time, which means so much to all of us. We truly cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our family, and we are all very sad not to have her by our side anymore. Thank you as well for always checking in and making sure everything was going well. We really appreciated your support throughout the process. - Peggy, mom of Upper West Side 4th grader

Bright Horizons is a money hungry, corporate entity (owned by Bain Capital). Teachers are very…read moreunderpaid and unhappy so the turnover is very high. Notice all their teachers are either really young or "older". I think I spent more time in the doctor's office with 6 ear infections in a year, RSV, you name it and so if you do the math, the time lost from work does not justify the cost. My child would come home with other children's clothing, bottles, utensils, etc. I can only imagine what he was being fed onsite. One child was stabbed by another child with scissors and it took a very, very long time and appeals to corporate headquarters to get this child (with a history of violent tendencies) kicked out. So also if you have 2 children, there was no sibling discount. Director was stalking me to send the 2nd child (almost 4K a month). I took it up to the Regional Director and it took ages for them to even get back to me. Finally they got back to me and said it was 5%. Insult to injury. If you do the math, it was equivalent to private college tuition. Hmmm, considering I lose a week a month to illnesses, I think it's not worth it. Then 2 more moms having second children left. After I left, I heard they lost a flurry of teachers plus their director. Not surprised. They need to really do something to make the Wilton community trust them again. Wilton moms have more negative things to say than positive. You'll pay a premium to send your child there but you will not get premium care. What they need to do to improve is to slash overall tuition for everyone and hire a director that really cares about the children and the teachers. Help the teachers love their jobs and then they will love the children. Hire detail oriented teachers. Sanitize the facilities better. Stop being so harsh on their teachers and show the parents that they are not greedy, corporate entities but a daycare that really cares.

I've experienced MUCH better and for less the tuition cost that this center asks you to pay for…read moreapparent quality. The presentation of this school is good at first until you really start to familiarize yourself with how it operates. You walk in and in amazement see all the colors, the framework of the facility, all the big smiles and happy hellos... and if you are lucky you may actually see their Director there once in a while. I have only been there about 6 months and I have already withdrawn my child from this "school". The teachers, though seem loving of the children, complain constantly about their management and how they are treated. They make mistakes, not small ones, big one regarding safety of the children. One fed a baby milk with a bad milk allergy, another child was exposed to a stranger visitor without parent consent, they do not check licenses when someone picks up a child (even though they are good about needing a form). One family left abruptly while there, one teacher did, one regional manager as well and now myself along with two families are in the process of looking to transfer our kids. I cannot tell you how many countless times my child came home with someone else's clothing on. There are some things you expect from day cares and other things that are simply not appropriate in nature... the fact you are told y ou can give feedback and ask questions only to be countered with stories/excuses etc is the worst customer service Ive ever seen! Do yourself a favor and save the additional $600 a month and apply it to your child's bank account for college. Paying more and having a branded name of BH, most definitely does not guarantee you quality of care. Their lack of overall leadership at the center level and at a regional level when you file complaints is an outrage and utterly disgraceful. It's a very very sad situation when you are a parent and come to learn what the atmosphere is actually like there when they spend over 6 hours a day with these people.
