I'll skip shoddy service and pay a couple dollars more for good service. There's a reason I have made half a dozen orders from Alpenglow and I'll give you a hint: it's because their customer service rhymes with "awesome." Also rhymes with "excellent." If you don't believe me, log on to their web page, search the specials, save a boatload of money, and check your porch three days later. I promise you won't be disappointed. I haven't been, six times in a row (that's what she said). Thanks Alpenglow, for giving me an excuse to write this review and throw in a mediocre TWSS joke. Wait for a sale at Amazon for a new one, maybe get last years model to save a little bit extra. You don't need the new pink-striped accents on the 2014 model. You might like them, but you don't need them. Anyway, back to Alpenglow. They rock! Countless times, I've searched for a random specific piece of gear online, and who not only has it in stock, but on sale?! Alpenglow. Not only are their sales timely and fantastic, but the customer service has been stellar, and the shippin' is quick and cheap/free. Trying to remember all the things I've bought here, maybe two sets of ice tools, cams, ice screws, pants, backpack, etc etc etc. All time best! EDIT: Incidentally, KennyB below sounds like an idiot. The store is a mess, sort of; looks more like a warehouse now and less like a place to shop. Staff is minimal...I mean scanty... and those that work there have no desire to really help you. They are, however, interested in socializing with each other. I don't blame them actually. Poop rolls down hill, right? So, if administration has no mission to provide great quality and customer service, no pride in what they are doing, why would the minimal staff that work there? It doesn't make me happy, what I'm writing, but I need to be honest. I try to find what I need anywhere but at Dick's Sporting Goods right now. What a disappointment.

I didn't even do that this time. I went in, was greeted by someone helping another customer. I quickly found the shoe area and she came over when done; helped me find exactly what I needed. I checked them out later on Amzn and they didn't have even the color selection that Cadillac had (the perfect one). Cadillac's were also less expensive. They are amazing shoes. They said they'd put on hold till sunday, but to be sure we came back the next day. We shopped for more items and left our cart for 5 minutes, which they took and started putting the items away. When we asked for my items on hold they had already put it all away too. Wasted hours of our time, came out in a snowstorm, called management today: "They don't care." Someone must be a restocking Nazi there. They put our stuff away twice before we could buy, and we are not people who spend anymore time shopping than necessary.
