Someone outside was joking about possible reasons they were doing it, but I assume it is the recent surge in Covid. At least I think he was joking. Because of the success of vaccines and Paxlovid in slowing down the spread and reducing its impacts, I think some people believe Covid is finished rather than that it is now like flu strains. Anyway, the wait outside the store was short. I tend to shop more closely in the Home Goods section rather then in the clothing, unless there is something in particular I am looking for. They sometimes have surprising items for sale, such as the time we found our brand of decaf coffee at a great price. The variety of decaf available at warehouse stores can be pretty limited, but if you have a Kurig you are made in the shade. They must sell a lot more of it and make more profit. So i don't shop at TJ Maxx regularly but I like stopping in occasionally to see what they have at that particular moment. It helps me miss Zayre's less from when I went to the Broadway Shopping Center decades ago now.

They didn't have them in the store anymore, but said we could order a pair that would arrive at our house in TWO weeks. Two weeks seemed like a really long time to get my Christmas present but we decided to go with that option. They took down our number and said they would call with tracking information. Two weeks later we went in and asked for an update, and asked why no one ever called us.. they took down our number again and said they'd call on Monday. FOUR weeks later, still no boots and still no phone call. We went in to the store and they said we were misinformed, that it's 4-6 weeks not 2 weeks. They couldn't get the tracking information because it was a Saturday, so once again they took down our number and said they would post it to their bulletin board so that someone would ACTUALLY call us this time. Now FIVE weeks later, still no boots, still no phonecall. Called the manager of the store and they said they'd call back in 15 minutes after they talk to the distribution center. A few hours later, the distribution center called and said they got an 8 and an 8 1/2 so they had to reorder it, and suggested if I didn't want to wait any longer I should call the Bangor store again and have them cancel the order. After FIVE weeks of waiting. I can't believe this place!

I went back and went to Sephora so I can spend kohls cash if $9.00 & my new Kohls cash of $30.00 for buying a bunch of clothes. The girl called manager Ben over and he kept insisting I must have changed something or returned clothes and REFUSED my kohls cash of $30. At no time during my encounter didn't manager try to look anything up - just stood there shaking his head saying "You must have returned an item- Where is your receipt for all the clothes you bought the other day" - So now I have to hold a receipt in hand to prove I spent money in Kohls. He argued back with me - no offer of anything -- basically cold and stood his ground as if I was lying and I even said - "why are you treating me in this manner? I'm not lying" Again - totally refused to do anything else and was not professional and condemning "HAVE A NICE DAY" UNPROFESSIONAL JERK- I called & sent in a formal complaint - no phone calls this so far..... no calls .... The Sephora Store worker was sweet and nice but had no clue on products I wanted. She has no idea what the texture spray is from Wow -- and I also wanted a facial cream and she wound up giving me a product was very very expensive without giving me a price. Many other stores have better quality goods. Don't let people talk to You like you're garbage.

My granddaughter tried the pants on and they were too large so I returned them the very next day and instead of refunding my entire amount that I paid for them, they subtracted the $10 Kohl's cash, which I did not ask for in the first place. So since I have no intention of going back to Kohl's to use that $10 Kohl's cash, they have ripped me off for $10. Be aware if you shop there.
