The club has a couple of full sized snooker tables upstairs, along with a pool table, darts, a bandit machine and a huge projector screen and tvs where all kinds of sports are broadcast. Downstairs is the function room that can be hired for any event you may have, which also has a large bar. The club often host karaoke and bingo nights down here, whilst upstairs is for the more casual drinker and where you'll find most of the regulars! Opening hours are impressive, with the club open 7 days a week, day and night. This probably goes without saying, but the more vibrant evenings with the best atmosphere are Friday and Saturday or when a sporting event is on, but don't let that put you off as whenever you go you are guaranteed to feel welcome. Drinks are very reasonably priced and overall I can have no real complaints about the conservative club!

This raised over £600 and was very enjoyable. My only complaint would be the choice of drinks. I prefer to drink a beer that I can taste once it is below five degrees, it could be anything! All beers were chilled to the death. Prices for drinks were all reasonable and the non-drivers could chose from quite a few not quite as cold as the beers! At the interval, pie and peas were available. I had eaten well already, but they looked and smelled delicious and, judging from those who tried them, lived up to their promise. I believe that quizzes are held here every month in aid of different charities. I would recommend a visit to any who enjoy a very varied night out.

It's great to see that some traditional working men's style clubs still exist. Morley Green Club,…read morelocated just outside Wilmslow, is keeping that traditional absolutely alive and well. I ended up here for a family birthday party. You know the kind - chilli and rice, saying hi to ancient relatives you barely know and then dancing drunkenly to Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" as the lights go up at the end of the night after way too many gin and tonics. The main room of the Morley Green Club is great, with a small bar tucked in the corner, a kitchen at the back, a lovely high ceiling and a small stage at the far end. It was perfect for a drunken, fun, family gathering. If you'd like to become a member of the club then you get to feel the benefit of everything else this place offers. There are two snooker tables in the back room, which are well taken care of and tucked away from the bustle of the bar. The main bar is well decked out with comfortable seating where you can sit and enjoy some of the tasty ale on tap.

This is the place where the older Irish community in Manchester's suburbs congregates and downstairs is a large bar and seated area. I am more familiar with the function room upstairs though which is a large space that has recently undergone a makeover. Now it is light and bright with a small stage and a bar. Drinks prices are such a revelation here for those used to pricey city centre watering holes. In the latter, there is little change out of £10 for only one drink, but in the Irish Association club for the same money I can down three rum and cokes and still have a couple pounds to line my pockets with. This is wondeful! I would encourage any one who is looking for a great venue to host a bash for 100 people or so, to book here. Over the years, we have been to many social events at this club and have never really been disappointed. The staff are excellent and try hard to serve everyone fairly - even females! One thing I hate is when a single female at the bar is completely ignored and I get served first, even when I have only just got to the front. The standard bitter, mild, lager and the aforementioned Guinness are up to standard and the venue is well equipped to cater for large parties, fund-raising events and the like. The toilets are well maintained and adequate for the numbers and the carpark is the same (adequate and well-maintained, that is). If you are planning an event here, be mindful that you may have to book your own entertainment, but the management may recommend someone - if they do, it will be worth considering.
