Frustrated. That's what I felt when my son was dressed and waiting on a photographer for more than 20 minutes to get his portrait session going. But... My frustration turned into pure JOY within minutes. Taoisha was our "person" for the day. She alerted the manager of this particular location of my concern. The manager quickly came over and greeted me. And guess what? SHE started my son's session herself! And boy was I blown away at the first "station" of portraits. Based on which package you choose (wish I had researched a little more ahead of time), you move from station to station for pictures based on poses like athletic, vogue, runway, cap/gown, etc. I cannot say enough great things about the staff, particularly Taoisha and Ben (photographer). We laughed and had an amazing time. Everyone was extremely helpful and patient. My son is above average height and staff did everything to accommodate his stature that wasn't conducive to the cap/gown and tuxedo sets. I cannot tell you how many times we were offered water and snacks to make sure we were comfortable. The location adheres to strict COVID-19 guidelines including temperature checks, masks and social distancing. I witnessed staff cleaning cap/gowns and tuxedos between uses, even using a geothermal heating apparatus. I felt safe the entire time there, approximately two hours. When you check out, you can get a quick glimpse of the photos you've taken (pre-touch up). And let me tell you.... I already know that we are going to blow our budget buying pictures because if the pre-touch up ones look this AMAZING, I'm not going to be able to narrow anything down. For me to give a business 5 starts means that I completely recommend them without reservation! And that's how I feel about CADY. They'd better be around for our last child's senior portraits in 2025. After the photo session, we went to the CADY website for the order. The $58.99 session charge in Sep 2026 was just for taking pictures. That included $24.98 for "Artists Touch" to "reduce minor blemishes" and "smooth skin". Why such a steep price? That's like ordering a $30 entree at a restaurant and paying an additional $30 to clean the ingredients before preparation. Sadly, the price gouging didn't stop there. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I am not sure why Middle Creek selected this company to do pictures. Over the last 3 years to try and even buy pictures is hard and ridiculously expensive. I was disappointed in the pictures that were taken. When we arrived nothing was explained, my daughter and I were never explained the process, and ultimately, I was told by at least 2 managers that I should have read the website better as it was all explained there. I was not given the option to see all the photos taken, and when it came time to select we didn't have the option of even looking at them. We were asked, "do you like it or not" without seeing any other photos. I have spent over $550.00 and will be getting only 5 different poses, which includes a $20.00 shipping fee that is because the pictures come from Atlanta. I was told I couldn't get digital pictures (which I was willing to pay for) but told I couldn't just scan the sheets. We get 15 sheets (which will sit in a drawer) and 2 digital poses. Out of the about 70 pictures taken we only saw about 25. I do not recommend getting any pictures other than the "basic pack" as you will get all the pictures (16 poses) for $150 and a sitting fee of $50... and they are digital so no shipping fee. By the way, if you pick anything other than the basic pack, there will be no options under $200.00 to purchase ANY photos. Misleading, Unprofessional, and Zero Accountability - Don't Waste Your Time or Money At first, I truly thought everything was going well. I was led to believe from the beginning that this would be a personalized experience--that I would have access to all of my daughter's photos and be able to choose the images we wanted before anything was edited. That turned out to be completely false. Not only did they cancel the original school photo session twice--despite my daughter paying a $40 session fee--but I had to be the one to reschedule and move her session to the studio because of their failure to follow through. That fee should be refunded immediately. Then came the biggest disappointment: the photo they selected for us was one of my daughter with her back turned. She took multiple poses, yet we were only given 10 edited images, and we were not allowed to view or choose from any of the other pictures taken during her session. When I asked about it, I was told they choose the pictures they want to use, and customers are not allowed to see or select any others. That directly contradicts what I was told when I paid--that the choice would be mine. To add insult to injury, my support ticket was closed without any resolution. No explanation. No accountability. Just silence. This was supposed to be a cherished moment for my daughter and me, and instead, it's been a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. I will be informing every school I work with--and have worked with--about how this company misrepresents itself and treats paying customers. Do not trust the promises. Do not waste your money. This company makes it so difficult for seniors and families to take and buy their photos. They have automatic add ons that you have to manually take off if you don't want to pay crazy expensive fees. They send emails about coupons and promo codes that don't work and their customer service is awful. They made it hard for us to even contact them and then did nothing about the issues we had. Bait And Switch! You won't get what you paid for. We signed up for the Elite package at $299. We were at the studio and the location a few miles away for six hours because we had to wait at almost every step of the process for someone else to finish. We were told if we kept our appointment to view the photos, we would get two free digital photos and $100 off any package. The fine print is you must purchase the packages starting at $1,999 for this "gift." In the viewing room, we were shown a beautiful photo album with thick pages and hardcover and told that option was $399. We decided that was the best option because the cheapest package with more than one pose was $500. I was asked three times if I agreed to the purchase and began to wonder why. Later I showed my family the website for the studio so they could order pictures. We found out the album they showed us was called the Platinum album and was $899, while we were invoiced for the standard album, which is a paperback--much cheaper paper and cover. This after telling them we were on limited funds and couldn't shell out $2,999 for the Spoil Me package they wanted us to buy. Also, no $100 off or free digital pictures. On the way out of the viewing room, our presenter gave my son a pep talk about success and integrity. All while knowing she was stealing from us. I tried calling the studio to talk this situation out, but you can only contact a call center that sends a message to the studio. The photos they take are beautiful! But the deceitful business practice we experienced, as well as what we've now read in reviews, cast a very ugly shadow over the photographer's hard work. This was the Matthews location. read more

There was always a difficult time just ordering a single picture. They are very pushy about trying to sell you a big package with a bunch of pictures you don't need. This is not the traditional school photos that I look forward to looking at. And then was charged a $10 sitting fee. I never had to pay a sitting fee for school pictures. I would rather go to a studio and make sure the pictures are done right and know what I am getting when I have to pay a sitting fee. read more

I ordered my daughter's senior photos on October 20th. The 21st of October was the last day you could order and get the portfolio of pics for free. I waited until late to order because I didn't have hundreds of dollars to spare. I went through and did a pay in two payment plan on their website. On October 24th Cady charged me $229. I did not receive an email or a receipt. I assumed the photos wouldn't be downloadable until I finished paying so I forgot about them. December I realized I didn't have the pics and checked the order. It was still saying pay later but had no buttons or links to pay. Christmas came along then our trip to Wisconsin to visit family in the hospital and I didn't get back to looking into it. January 31 I chatted with CADY and was told that I needed to reach out to Klarna to figure out why the payment didn't go through. Klarna is the company CADY uses for payment plans. Unfortunately Klarna doesn't have a phone number. Just email or chat so I put it off. Today I chatted and they said that the screen shot I sent from my bank showed payment directly from CADY so I needed to call them. Klarna did not have record of my order. I called CADY and was told that the order never went through. The charge was for the portfolio. But the portfolio was only supposed to be $150 plus tax and I was overcharged so they will reimburse me $50. They will not reimburse me in full for the portfolio because I didn't order in time for it to be free. Even though they can see my order in the system on October 20th and do not know why the order failed. They claim I put it in pay later status and never came back. There are no options to set up payment on my end so it obviously went past that point and errored. I just had to pay the $425 to get pictures. That's almost a months worth of groceries for us. I also paid $79 just to go have the pictures taken. I am $733 into these pictures and still have cap and gown ones to purchase because those are sold separately. And oh did I mention that this is the company you have to go through in order to get pictures in the yearbook? Feeling very sad and angry that I was screwed. Yes I should have followed up sooner but life happens. Good companies support their clients. Gave two stars as the pics are gorgeous but the service is lackluster. read more

The mere fact that we had to use them for my son's yearbook picture is already frustrating, but the idea that you have to pay to have the pictures taken, get roped into doing some kind of package, get sent a portfolio regardless, and then have to pay a minimum of $179.00 is insane. It feels very much like extortion. The studio is unorganized, the time spent there is ridiculous and the idea you cannot even purchase one digital image without spending hundreds of dollars is literally the worst business practice I can think of. I would rather hire a local professional photographer then give another single dollar to this business. I am frustrated that the schools force us to use this business. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I have already paid the $129 sitting fee, attended a 3 HOUR photo session, and now CADY is literally holding my daughter Senior portraits hostage. I chose the "Most Popular Experience" package thinking that would be the easiest. After the 3 hour photo shoot, CADY tried to force me into a private room for a high pressure "presentation" (that lasts 2 hours) with my daughter present, before they would let me check out. I was stunned. CADY is praying on parents at a vulnerable time. It reminded me of someone trying to sell me a time share. I refused to sit for the presentation. I told them I wanted to choose the photos myself at home with my husband...and I left. I have called customer service multiple times, submitted tickets, but they refuse to let me log into their site and see my daughter's photos online. They said I must come to their studio for a "presentation". I'm not sure if they will ever let me see my daughter's photos without going in person, and I have a HUGE problem with that type of business practice. They need to stop holding her pictures hostage and let me choose the ones that I want - without having to meet with them in person under a high-pressure sales presentation. read more

The absolute worst company to deal with for yearbook portraits. I was misdirected and lied to multiple times. I directly asked if there was a yearbook-only option and was told no, and that I had to choose a session. I was charged a $29 session fee for a yearbook photo that was supposed to be free according to the high school. Also, check the terms and conditions you must agree to. The terms as initially shown gave the studio full rights to do anything with your child's photo, at any time, for any purpose. This is directly listed in the terms of service agreement. a) To copyright the same in the photographer's name or any other name that he/she may select; b) to use, re-use, publish and re-publish the same in whole or in part, separately or in conjunction with other photographs, in any medium now or hereafter known, and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not by way of limitation) illustration, promotion, advertising and trade. I hereby release and discharge Cady Studios from all and any claims and demands ensuing from or in connection with the use of the photographs, including any and all claims for libel and invasion of privacy. This authorization and release shall inure to the benefit of the legal representatives. licensees and assigns of Cady Studios. I have read the foregoing and fully understand the contents hereof. I represent that I am the parent and/or guardian of the below named model. For value received, I hereby consent to the foregoing on his/her behalf. I asked the studio if there was a way to get just a yearbook photo taken without agreeing to these terms. They said there was not a way and the terms must be agreed to. I informed the high school of the overreach. The high school looked into the issue and a day later the terms changed as the listed terms were for modeling clients, not students. My experience at Cady was extremely slow and the staff were not very knowledgeable about the whole process. When I got there, I was informed that they were understaffed even though it was Saturday, which should be when they are the most staffed to take photos. It took over an hour for me to do my yearbook photo, one other pose, and my cap and gown photo, with most of the time spent standing around. While I expected delays, this was ridiculously long. The girl doing my cap and gown photo took half of the photos before I asked her whether my cap and gown outfit was right, only for her to realize it was missing a piece and we had to start over. Additionally, I needed a basic black gown and the only one available was falling apart at the bottom. When I got the photos back, I had a piece of hair in front of my eye, which the photographer should have caught but didn't, which means I have to go in for retakes. Lastly, the portfolio came in the mail without a return label, so I had to call the company to get a label. I did not have an option to use Cady due to my school's policy, however it was a very subpar experience, especially for a company that only does senior pictures, and I will not buy the photos. read more

I normally do not write negative reviews but this time I HAD to. I am not impressed by the CADY photography process AT ALL. My son is a senior in high and we had no choice where to get his pictures taken. Want a senior yearbook picture? HAD TO GO HERE. From my understanding I had TO PAY for the actual pictures to be taken. I chose the cheapest package possible. I chose 3 poses and it cost $57 prior to getting the pictures taken. Our appointment was on Saturday. Complete chaos. No one (families) knew where to go as there were not enough photographers at each station to take the pictures ( that were chosen prior to your appointment). It was so unorganized and confusing. It took 2 hours to take 3 different poses. A waste time and money. When we received the proofs some were over exposed and just plain bad photography. The choosing of pictures, sending back a "portfolio" if you didn't want to spend $199 on it or if you didn't want to get it for free if you spent $399 on a "package" had to be sent back or you'd be charged. The lowest price point was $179.99 for one pose. Unfortunately I could go on and on.....Sorry CADY You are NOT worth it nor really worth the time I spent on your BAD review. read more

We had our daughter's senior portraits taken today. Jo was our photographer and this was hands down the BEST experience we have had in any photography session. Jo was incredibly patient, thorough, and detail-oriented. She truly made it a once-in-a-lifetime memorable experience for our daughter. She remained pleasant, fun, engaging, and cheerful throughout the session, suggesting poses, being a perfectionist, and making sure we got the best out of our session. This photo studio is the biggest scam I've ever had in my life. They charge you $200 for a photoshoot only to find out that the photoshoot doesn't come with ANY photos. To access the photos from the shoot, they charge you $190 for ONE photo. If you want access to any of the other photos the packages range upwards of $1000. They prey on families wanting to celebrate their children, and took it as opportunity to scam people out of their money. Truly disgusting. DO NOT give these people your business. read more

Absolutely horrible studio. Every year my kids school uses them and every time there is something wrong. This last time my son's soccer uniform is dark blue. In the photos however the shorts and socks look black. I put in a request to have the color fixed. Was told the it would take at least 10 days to fix which is ridiculous. Multiple chats, emails, phone calls only to get the same excuse that they are busy. Maybe if their photographers took better photos the graphics department wouldn't be so backed up. After waiting 3 weeks I was told there is nothing they can do to fix it. The lighting is off because of the sun. Again a good photographer would know how to work around that. So now I don't have pictures of my son's soccer year in High School. Very horrible customer service. read more

Some staff were wonderful! Two thirds of our photographers were excellent - Candice and Liv. The woman at the front desk was great as well. The third photographer we had was rude and rushed. He took one photo and said that was it. I had to push to get him to take a few more shots of the same look and he would hardly let us see the images. At the end of our rotation with him he submitted our photos before we had a chance to look at them. The other two photographers allowed us to review and discuss which images we liked best so we could submit our 4 favorites. This 3rd photographer told us we were not allowed to select our photos because the requirements were "super strict like the military." If this was truly the case we should have been told up front that we would not be allowed to select our own images. read more

We had Christian and Brie for my daughters senior pictures yesterday 2/3/22. Olivia Chaparro is my daughter and we had the most wonderful experience! Christian was so amazing! He was patient and so helpful with all of the poses. Olivia had the greatest time and all the pictures he was showing us as he took them were so awesome! I've never seen my daughter so beautiful. Brie was very helpful with all the poses also. She's very knowledgeable and very nice. We appreciate everything they did for us and will recommend Cady to anyone looking for a photography session. Thank you so much for making this exciting time so seem less and amazing!! The only thing that scares me a little is they didn't go over any pricing. I've read through other reviews that they are very over priced and it's an all or none package as well as they hold your pictures hostage and charge outrageous prices. I truly hope this isn't the case because we had such a great time and a wonderful experience with the team that took care of us.
