Beautiful studio and very well maintained in the Alpharetta location. Parking was sufficient, staff was well organized, we love all the different booth options. There was a promo going on that we took advantage of. Jollee was great checking us in, explaining about that promo, and giving us the tour. She was very pleasant throughout. Stating so, it seems that their cameras for almost every booth that we were at happen to either be down or glitched. We would have to wait until they replace it. Some of the photographers seems to be understudies because they kept on waiting for other photographers to help assist them or telling them what to do. If I'm paying $300+, I would like a professional photographer please. Here's the worst part. They only have 1 gown of each size and color. My daughter needed a Medium black gown. There were no Small and the Large was too big. Another Senior that was 6-7 ladies in front of her was taking photos with it. We didn't think much of it. As it got closer and closer to our turn, the student disappeared. Just so happens that she went outside to take pictures with her dog! We had to wait for her to finish while 6 other student AFTER my daughter had their cap/gown photos taken. We probably waited 40+ minutes just in that line all because of that 1 Medium black gown. When the student finally came back in, it wasn't even in her hand. I had to tell our photographer to track it down outside. It was left outside with another photographer. I do not work there. I shouldn't have to tell the photographer, Claire, what to do, tracking down that gown. I do appreciate her keeping her composure though. By then, our smiles were gone, curls had dropped flat, and touched-up makeup was all crusty with dripped mascara. Mind you, we were there since our 11:45 am appt and it was already 2 pm. This was our last booth. We did the drape first, 2 other booths, and now the cap and gown. During check-out, Jace asked us how our visit went. I gave him my honest opinion of all that went on during the cap and gown booth. He stated that caps and gowns were not even supposed to be taken outside and he will tell the other photographers that. I'm addition, not everyone loves animals. Not only was the gown now smelling like sweat from outside heat, but there were dog fur everywhere on this black gown. My daughter ended up getting a rash from the dander left behind on that gown. Everything was going so well until towards the end. **Do not buy the Elite package without fully understanding how Cady prices digital images.** I wish someone had explained this before I chose my package. ### 1. The Elite package is misleading. The Elite package looks like the best value, but it actually gives you **fewer** options when it comes to digital photos. What I wasn't told is that if you purchase the Elite package and later decide you want digital images, you **must** purchase the entire digital gallery for an additional **$1,799**. You cannot purchase individual digital photos. Had this been clearly disclosed before I purchased the package, I would have chosen a different one. ### 2. They ask you to commit before you've seen the finished product. After our three-hour photo session, we were taken into another room without anyone explaining why. I assumed we were simply wrapping up the appointment. Instead, I was presented with a time-sensitive offer to commit to a package immediately in exchange for a $200 discount. The problem is that I already have a viewing appointment scheduled in two weeks. That's when I'll actually see the edited portraits. During this appointment, I was asked to make a purchasing decision based only on a quick preview of unfinished images. Customers should not be asked to make an irreversible purchasing decision that affects future purchases before they've even seen the finished product. ### 3. The lack of transparency changed the entire session. Because I believed I would later choose only the images I wanted to purchase, we ended the session after about three hours. If I had known I would eventually have to spend **an additional $1,799** just to obtain digital images, I would have approached the session very differently. I would have wanted additional poses, more outfit changes, different backgrounds, and more variety to maximize the value of the gallery. The pricing structure fundamentally changes how a reasonable customer would use their session time. ### 4. The photography didn't match the premium pricing. Our photographer told us she had been with Cady for only two months. She was kind, but she was clearly inexperienced. More concerning, her flash failed during a significant portion of the session. Many of those images are essentially black, meaning we lost a meaningful number of photographs because of an equipment failure. That's not the level of quality I expect from a company charging premium prices. ### 5. The package information isn't transparent. The website and package descriptions do not clearly explain the restrictions on digital image purchases. A pricing limitation this significant should be impossible to miss. Customers should know exactly what they're committing to **before** they purchase a package, not discover it afterward. ### 6. My overall impression. Senior portraits are a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. Families deserve transparent pricing, enough information to make informed decisions, and the opportunity to view the finished portraits before making irreversible purchasing decisions. We got there at 9:30 for a 10:00 o'clock appointment. We did not get done until almost 3:00. We had to ask someone of they could get a photographer to take pictures after standing for what seemed to be forever and it was not for just one e backdrop it was for several. After we finally got all the pictures done we found out that all the info we received from them beforehand via text and email was not correct. This place is not what our schools need to have as their company to provide photography for them. Don't book its overpriced and underwhelming Booked a session because they're the ONLY ones who take the yearbook pictures for Walnut Grove HS. After a schedule change with both text and email confirmation, we get to the school to find the kids (yeah cause it's a bunch of kids who take the pictures like an apprenticeship) packed up. They finished their last session at 3:00pm when our session was booked for 4:15PM. I tried to call a local person but ofc they have an overseas customer service, so you'll never get a hold of someone especially when time is of the essence. Pricing is for example 1 iphone sticker size picture for 15.00 or 300 wallets for 275.00 and you get one pose but if you spend 800 you get 4 poses. You kid gets to stand around while a bunch of other kids wait for the same scenes so it's not personal. Terrible placement of the CADY logo in the bottom right corner of the pictures which in the layout we got for my 9th grade daughter's school photos, make it look like a tattoo on her arm. We have never had this issue with previous school photos before. I spent almost $100 and will not end up using any of the printed photos. The photography staff are CADY is great. The whole business arm of CADY is predatory, confusing, annoying. The day of the the photo shoot, they force their young sales associates to upsell, pressure and confuse you by offering a confusing number of options and fees. Wish I could give a zero! On June 5th, I scheduled my son's session for October 7th. I received email confirmation on October 6th confirming the session for the next day. Cady didn't show up for the portraits at his school. I received an email at 3PM (his session was scheduled for 12:15 PM), rescheduling for October 24th. I tried to book a professional photographer at that point, but no one had availability that could meet the yearbook submission deadline. I didn't receive the proof portfolio until the week of Thanksgiving. I went online to choose his portrait and it had already been chosen. Of course, they chose the one picture that we didn't want. Terrible Experience After a Great Start - Disappointed and Misled! On July 13, I took my senior to CADY Studio for his yearbook pictures. The session itself was great -- the photographer was amazing, fun, and kind -- 10/10 for that part of the experience. But everything went downhill after the shoot. As we were leaving, a young lady at the front asked if I wanted to upgrade to receive all the digital photos. I specifically asked if the $160 upgrade included every picture taken that day, and both she and the photographer clearly said yes -- all the pictures. Fast forward to July 17, I check my email expecting a full gallery of images, and instead I receive only 10 photos -- and not even the ones we would have chosen! To make matters worse, the photos include ones of me, even though I had told the photographer that this session was about my son and I did not want to be in the final selection. I immediately reached out via chat and was connected to Edward T, who spent an hour chatting with me just to tell me that I had only paid for 10 pictures, that there's no refund, no exchange, and "nothing he can do." All I could get was a promise that someone from their "escalation team" would call me in 24-48 hours, only to likely tell me the same thing. So here I am, out $160, with pictures I didn't choose, of a session that was supposed to be about my son, selected by some mysterious "quality control team" without my input. This is beyond frustrating -- it's misleading and disrespectful to customers. We should have the right to choose which photos we want, especially when we're paying this much. It's my son, his senior year -- he deserves to look and feel his best in the pictures we keep forever. Bottom line: CADY Studio may know how to take a good photo, but their customer service, communication, and sales tactics absolutely suck. This is a predatory practice that ropes your school district into using them. I will be going before my school board to dissuade them from all future contracts with this unscrupulous company. They prey on the fact that you already paid their outrageous sitting fees, another 25 bucks just to look at your photos (with a promise that the 25 will be applied to your order--it was not). What they don't tell you up front is that you shouldn't have picked "the most popular" sitting fee package because in order to get those photos you will need to spend between 500-1000 dollars. But wait there's more! If you order now we'll give it to you for $750 and some magnets. They will continually send you "Deals" to try to get you to buy their terribly over-priced pictures. My suggestion to anyone forced by their district to use this company. Get the cheapest sitting fee for the senior portrait in the yearbook and go to your local photographer who cares. The lowest quality photo studio we've encountered in over 20 years. Over priced, under staffed and completely chaotic on the day we went. Disorganized and sub-par quality to say the least. We booked a solo photographer for a park for senior pictures and had a much better experience. We only used this studio for the school required photos. They also put our teenager in a huge cap n gown about 4 sizes too large and stated that was how our school liked it. I had my twins senior pics done here. Apparently, when you spend money with them, they lock you in to where they can control everything. When I went to the presentation, I wasn't ready to buy, so I expected to be able to view their pics online and order them at my convenience. We couldn't see their pics online, so I called. When I spoke to CS, they told me that bc of the package I bought (a higher priced one that I paid twice for my twins) I was not able to order online, but had to go sit through the presentation AGAIN and that's the only time I could order the pics. She straight up told me that it was bc of the package I bought, but those that those who had lower costing pkgs had the option to order online. I live an hour away from the closest studio, so it is VERY crazy that I would have to travel an hour to studio, sit through an hour and a half presentation (again), and then travel an hour home just to order my kids pics...and ALL bc I spent more money with them than less. You'd think they would try to accommodate those who spent the extra money, not make it super difficult!! I would NEVER use these people again just bc of the hellacious experience it's been to get the results of what I paid for! read more

From start to finish the "session" process was falsely advertised. We did not finish all the looks because of time constraints due to not enough photographers being available at the "scheduled session." When leaving, we were asked to put down another deposit of $50, or we would not be able to schedule a sitting session. I did not understand this because I had already paid close to $160 towards this session. When the time came for the sitting session, I was asked to choose a package in which only the $50 deposit would be applied, and this did not include a cap and gown picture. The only way to obtain cap and gown pictures was if I purchased a package for over $1200. That's false advertisement. It was not until this moment that I learned I could not even purchase the cap and gown pictures alone. It was not an option. Remember I was not able to get all the scenes in from the original session, so I was forced to pick a picture I did not even like. Not to mention the lighting on 90 percent of the pictures was off. I even spoke with a manager who stated she sent them off to the "editing" team, and they agreed the lighting was off, and they did offer to retake the photos, but I declined due to the poor services that I was already receiving and my senior's busy schedule. I was told in February I would be able to purchase only the cap and gown pictures for $79. Once again I was lied to; the total was over $140, and here we are over one week later; they are telling me their "lab" is under construction and the senior portraits are not being processed at the moment. This is after I called them. No communication was sent out to me informing me of the order being delayed or anything. They simply only care about money, and once they have your memories and money, they do not care. This company needs to be investigated. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service process. My son has braces and Cady was supposed to touch up to remove braces in his senior photos. the first set of prints we received made it look like he had dirty teeth as if he had been a smoker for decades as they did a poor job of retouching. This is where our adventure of frustration began. We took the prints into the studio, the staff agreed that this was not done properly, assured us that they will do proper touch up, call us back, and send us new photos. I travel often for work. so I was not able to follow up right away. And it took a few weeks for them to send us our new photos. and no call back. and the new photos look like he has false teeth at age 17 as they have been overly white washed. My husband call back. He is promised that they will call us back in 24-48 hours and offer compensation for our troubles. The call back did not happen. another few weeks go by and I call back. they said they don't have a record of the call. they promise again to call back in 24-48 hours. and so this cycle continues. the worst part is that I just learned, after another call, I'm supposed to answer the call when the manager calls. and if I miss the call, they don't leave a voice mail and I'm off their queue for follow up until I call back. And only when I call back, I have to start the process all over again - to explain my problem, be put on the queue again, and wait in vain in hopes that I'm not on a work call or on a work trip when they call back at unspecified date/time. All I want is to get my son's senior photos printed before he graduates in 1 month. I paid for the most expensive package and still have nothing to show after 9 months. CADY is a nothing but a greedy company that I'd never have done business with if not for the horrible decision of my daughter's school administration. For starters, CADY charges for studio sessions in the school that Lifetouch which the school previously used, didn't charge for. CADY's picture packages are so much more expensive than Lifetouch's. For example, we got Lifetouch's Perfect Package for my son which then was $429. This package included prints, digitals, 3 frames and other accessories. I don't know what it would cost now but even accounting for inflation, CADY's Elite Unlimited which is somewhat the comparable package (without hair and makeup styling and outdoor scenes) will cost $1,800. They charge $200 for a portfolio that includes just eight 4x5 prints, $299.99 for just digitals. My son's package, which I noted before, included all digitals. $30 per pose, so for example, for my daughter's extra 17 poses, we would be paying $510 if we wanted all the poses which was what we did with my son's. $49.99 for a single 8×10 print or two 5x7 prints. With this kind of price, most parents would not be able to get prints or digitals of all their children's pictures because it will be well over a thousand. Besides all this, CADY says the cap and gown pictures won't be ready until next year and will be charged separately. No one knows how much those will cost at this point because they can't be ordered yet. This was not the case with Lifetouch. I believe that CADY'S prices are not in any way competitive compared to Lifetouch or, from experience, to other photography services. Besides the cost of their services, what I find most troubling about CADY is the lack of transparency in their pricing. You have to spend a lot of time on their website to figure out their cost structure. Not surprising, as their online reviews show, many parents and students feel duped by CADY's pricing and practices. CADY'S terrible online reputation is more than deserved. We were perfectly happy with Lifetouch until an incompetent and possibly corrupt school administration decided to switch to CADY. I complained to the district superintendent and spoke to the principal and pointed out how bad CADY's online reputation is. I had the worst experience at Cady Studios. I've heard others call this place a scam, and unfortunately, I completely agree. We were forced to use this company for senior photos because NGHS mandated it, but I strongly advise against wasting your money here. Just stick to the basics -- yearbook photos and cap-and-gown shots -- and skip their overpriced packages. The day of the photoshoot was a complete disaster. My son was scheduled for six scenes, including cap and gown, but the process was chaotic and poorly managed. The staff was untrained and unprofessional. People were left waiting at empty booths while photographers stood around chatting carelessly. After three hours of frustration, we gave up and decided to leave, even though we hadn't completed all the scenes. At that point, I didn't care anymore. To make matters worse, the person at the check-in/out desk told me I couldn't leave without first speaking to someone to schedule a presentation day, forcing us to wait even longer. It's clear that this company is more interested in draining your wallet than providing good service -- and they're not asking for just a couple hundred dollars; they're talking about upwards of a thousand dollars for your child's photos! It didn't stop there. On presentation day, they called and asked if I could come earlier. I told them I'd come at the scheduled time, but they then suggested switching to a virtual presentation, which I agreed to. During the presentation, my son and I reviewed the photos and didn't like any of them. The salesperson then tried to pressure us into scheduling another presentation, claiming there would be a huge discount during the holiday season. Later, when I decided not to join the second presentation, they refused to refund the $25 fee, claiming it was non-refundable because I canceled. What kind of policy is that? This was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. I would never recommend Cady Studios to anyone. DO NOT BUY ANY PHOTOS from here. If you're forced to take senior pictures at this studio, just choose the cheapest option. This company is an absolute scam! They're over charging students for photos. They mail photos out and force you to pay or return the photos. Upon paying for the photo's they're still trying to pull more money out of my nieces account. Why are y'all scamming high schoolers ? That's outrageous. read more

Taking pictures with CADY was the worst experience I've had with school pictures. I paid for the Elite session and there was nothing Elite about it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH CADY!!! If you are forced to use them because the school makes you, just get the yearbook pic and the cap and gown photo. Go somewhere else where they appreciate your business. They try to charge you to schedule an appt for you to buy YOUR photos, their prices are outrageous, the customer service sucks and their pictures are basic. I wish I would have seen these reviews before because they are all 100% correct about the horrible experiences they've had because here I am with another one. Do not think it's just one experience! I don't have enough characters to tell about MY horrible experience. Run if you can!
