Would have liked a little more gravy for the Yorkshire, but otherwise everything was great and as I would have hoped. I normally don't put hearsay in my reviews but several people also ordered the burger, and it looked fantastic. My son, recently moved from the US, said it was the best he has had on the island. Finally, it is a very sunny and bright restaurant and excellent for kids. I recommend it and look forward to going back.

This place WAS once a normal "local" pub - no idea what direction it's heading in - but it's not gonna sell much beer if it's closed...!! Maybe the brewery are after selling it off as a non-runner?? The bar itself is split in to various floors and sections so you can experience different surroundings. It's nothing fancy but no over the top airs or graces. It does what it says on the tin, a club for working (wo)men to come relax, have a drink or a meal. The restaurant has only opened a short while ago (then closed, apparently over row with chef, now reopened under new management) and although it is now a little more pricey it still does the same job. You can come and enjoy your Friday lunch here and won't have to worry about breaking the bank. You won't come any where near. Bonus, did I mention how cheap the pints are? Your round! Cheers!
