This was a recommendation from Hotel One as the local place to go. If you visit my Instagram @foodrebelivana I do have pans of the food and place.
I found the food and coffee okay- I was sort of sold on authentic- but the coffee was made by commercial machine similar to what you see at airports. I mean props to them for paying for a commercial machine to make consistent coffee it probably cost them a lot- but I was hoping for some local crafted coffee with a bit of sweat equity. We ordered a bit of lunch and a coffee with apple strudel and a coffee with chocolate cake. The combo costed about $15 euros each. Ironically after I exited next door and there was another cafe offering the same combination for $7euros.
The apple strudel taste like it was sitting for 4-6 hours without the freshly baked crust. The cake tasted okay- but didn't seem like anything special just a central kitchen cake.
The atmosphere is nice quiet because it was under serviced. Washrooms are up the stairs- not sure if they have elevators.
Bill was not auto billed with tip considering my companion and I sat in the cafe. read more
