This year in 2025 they've had a massive refurbishment and perhaps a change in the overall structure of the restaurant and bar. Nothing short of phenomenal and everything this beach needed The staff are just as friendly as they've ever been but in our 4 visits this week (3 afternoons spent casually chilling in the bar and one Friday night in the restaurant) this is still the GEM of the island. Staff are the 110% compliment to the charm. Tony you're definitely doing something right! In fact, I often refer to El Senador as the "Beer creche" (as we would call it in England) because I know I can safely leave my husband there (like a child-minder) and he does his work from his laptop or phone and enjoys drinks, music, watching the scenery etc because you have great prices and fantastic service he chills there for hours. The bathrooms are beyond incredible - a MUST SEE. I absolutely love what you've done with the pebbles in the sinks. The food has greatly improved since previous years and we look forward to eating here for many years to come. We had the fillet steak, and the teriyaki salmon but the crème brûlée was the icing on the proverbial cake! Breakfast was there second option that came with beans, toast, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 2 fried egg. It came also with coffee and orange juice. Can't really complain at under six euro. Th sandwich I had later was a club sandwich with bacon egg chicken, perhaps a few other bits ( can't recall). Also cheap at around 5 euro. Nice range of snacks and as with most places here ( now anyway) you can pretty much guarantee that the quality will be fairly good. I give it 3 stars because apart form anything I am trying to be fair yet critical and although the food was good for snack food it wasn't anything to write home about or savour over. Just another place to grab a quick bite.
