Another "special type" Vietnamese Cafe in this neighborhood, this one is big with so many cramped seatings, we came in on July 4th so it was packed with guys only, I was the only female customer! Good thing was the bathroom was so clean cause it was girls dressing and makeup room too. We ordered unsweetened black coffee, Vietnamese coffee is quite strong so I can only sip on it cause I get anxious if I drink too much. The girls here were all super friendly and sexy, loved their July 4th outfits too. Think I have started to like this type of cafe even though I am a woman, it's better than gentlemen's clubs for some reason! My first time! I wish I found out about these types of cafes a long time ago! I didn't believe my husband when he told me about these (last month only, can you believe it?!?!) so I had to go into one to check if the waitresses really are wearing lingerie. Yup. They were! The waitress serving me and my friend was super friendly. Maybe she's just happy to see a girl walk in instead of a guy? She sat down and chatted with us. She practically told us her life story. She's so sweet. As soon as we sat down, one of the ladies gave us iced teas... and kept refilling them! What a deal! We ordered Bho and Strong Iced Coffee with condensed milk (is it called "Seda"?). The coffee was really good. The bho was a bit too watered down for my taste but not bad. The drinks we ordered were a bit pricey but considering the unlimited iced tea, your drinks, numerous big screen TV's all around the room playing the game and the fact that they don't rush you out, it's really a very good deal! The place is super smoky from customers that are smoking indoors. My throat is still scratchy 3 days later. Hello. I've been to many of these "Vietnamese Cafes". This by far is my least favorite. Atmosphere is ok. Smoking is prohibited but there are evidence of cups used for ashes. They may have had police presence in the past. The "servers" are very curious of my presence. They had asked me if I had a business card or evidence of what I do for work. They are suspicious due to that I am not a regular customer and keep asking questions what I do. Unfortunately, my defenses automatically went up and ask them rude questions in response to theirs. If anyone of these women are reading this, I do truly apologize for my wall. Like always, don't judge a book by it's cover. I am always misunderstood but I don't mind. It's just another layer of people not knowing me. My wall. Like they say "Sticks and stones my break my bones, but words will never hurt me." Especially from stranger's comments. What matters are the people who truly take the time to understand and know you well. So back to this establishment. I don't recommend but I recommend better "Coffee shops" in the area. Best wishes upon this establishment for they feel much more secure with their "regular customers". Which I understand. P.s. I felt more harassed than welcomed here. But oh well, I can only Nurture myself and expect or control how a person's actions or feelings. This place is an "adult entertainment"coffeeshop. This shop is operating like a hidden stripper club. Coffee are serving by bikini girls. When a stranger walk in, they will send a bikini waitress to take your order, and a minute later another waitress will come to greet you but the true intention is that she is making sure you are not an undercover. They installed cameras everywhere in front of the store entrance, inside and at the back door where they can see anyone from afar in the parking lot via a computer screen behind the counter as you walking in. Why cameras are everywhere? Again, because they do not want an undercover to come in to see the "real" coffee. And to more of my amazement, they were able to put together a large table to accommodate our large group. It is very low lit inside, dark, but tons of tvs to watch and cards to play. Being new to this sort of Cafe, I entered very intimidated. Upon entry, I stuck out like a sore thumb, apparently, as many of the patrons just stared at me for not knowing what to do or how to act upon entry. If this sounds like how you might enter this place, this review is for you! 1 - Just walk in and grab a seat wherever one is available. Don't worry about being seated, or greeted. Mostly all the waitresses here are scantily clad, in lingerie or a bikini, so they're not going to go out to the entry area and show you to a seat. 2 - You'll get a complimentary iced green tea just for stopping in, so don't order that. They'll also come around and refill that drink for you throughout your stay, and it'll be expected that you tip them for doing so (so do it). If you don't know what you want to drink, besides the complimentary tea, just ask for a drink menu. I ended up wasting the poor waitresses time by asking her the very noob-like, "What do you think I'd like?" (Ugh, I wish I could take that question back). Anyway, I ended up with a strawberry smoothie type drink which was waaaay too sweet for me. 3 - Look around, nobody will mind. I found myself staring at my phone for the first 20 minutes I was there. I was afraid to look up and enjoy the televisions or atmosphere, for fear someone would think I wasn't behaving correctly for this establishment. The truth is, the women here want to be seen, and they want to be tipped for allowing you to see (so again, do it). 4. A lot of guys play Keno here. So if you're into gambling, you might want to brush up on how to play Keno, and play it here. It might be fun for you. 5. I think it kind of goes without saying at places like this, but I'll say it anyway: no photos or video. I didn't take any on my visit, but I noticed that when I was on my phone at length, some of the waitresses would walk behind me to make sure I wasn't taking photos or videos. I have this bad habit of holding my phone up in front of my face, with elbows on the table when I type emails and such, so I get their suspicion. 6. Bring something to do! A lot of guys in here were just lounging around, chatting. Others were playing card games (like Magic or something), while others were playing poker. Still others were merely playing on their tablets. 7. These cafes are some of the few places left in California where they let you smoke - and mostly everyone who comes here, most definitely smokes. It was a bit too tart for my taste and it tasted a little bit like orange concentrate. But, It was still good though. Our server Jenny was super sweet. Typically, my friends and I repulse the coffee girls. They usually refill our drinks and hide in the back. Not Jenny. She sat down asked us how our day went and where we're from. It was a nice touch.
