We returned to The Galley at Sydney Boathouse, a beautiful spot, right on Sydney Harbour marina…read moresituated between Rozelle and Glebe, and under the ANZAC Bridge. The nearby car park gives 1 hour free parking so it's easy to pop by for brunch or lunch. It's a lovely view of the city scape and boats in the harbour and you can enjoy your breakfast up on the deck of the converted waiting hall / shipping container, or on a lounge by the water. This time we opted for the couches and made friends with a nearby diners French bulldog. It's certainly a dog friendly spot. You can also sit inside if the weather isn't suitable with beautiful styling, nautically themed with blue striped cushions, decorative ropes and anchors. We loved this place last time, so we were keen to try their new menu. The menu has a more varied amount of choices at brunch. There's sweets, salads and some regular and ever popular choices. The mozzarella with avo, perfectly place on sourdough with greens and pomegranates, heirloom tomatoes and and a soft poached egg was beautiful. The roast pumpkin salad with grains, Persian feta, heirloom salad, avocado, confit onion, Pepita dukkah and herbs is the kind of dish I'd enjoy every day. Super healthy and refreshing and the pumpkin was perfectly cooked. For a sweet finish, we really liked the poached pear on brioche, toast with salted caramel, passionfruit cream, candied pistachio and lemon zest. We imagine this will be a very popular menu item.

I could not resist the sausage roll, and it was spectacular! She had the quiche, which was also excellent. The accompanying salad was amazing, I think it had candied dried tomatoes or something in it - awesome!! Coffee, also most excellent. A winner!!

It's a fairly decent sized space with some seating outside, being right next to a public park is good and bad for parking. The service is always friendly and accommodating depending on your group size, probably best to call ahead of time for large groups as its big enough to be a cafe but not large enough to be classified a restaurant in Sydney. All the produce used in the food is fresh and most likely of organic origins (which I'm guessing on the decor and vibe). Simple and clear menu has some classics like a Chicken Schnitzel but done with a humble salad and chipotle that transports your tastebuds. Breakfast has some healthy-ish options but these are taken in consideration with the core component of the meal. Take the Bacon and Egg Roll, it's served as a burger and the barbecue sauce commands the dish. Cakes and pastry is sold as eat-in and take away items (which change every so often), coffee and milkshakes as well. The gingerbread is a favourite of mine - super refreshing for the sinus. At the end of the day, this is a humble little place that 's rustic feel and pastel interiors make it feel homely and the food cements this feeling. A place to return for sure.

Did I just experience a food orgasm? Yes. Yes, I did…read more Goblin is the best random place I happened upon. They had free WiFi so I set up shop and splurged on Avocado Bruschetta, replaced the feta with halloumi (free of charge, kindly offered by the staff because several things looked great on the menu and he was helping me maximize my options/finally make a decision), and a pot of Cheeky Chai Latte - spiced homemade. Whoaaaa, everything turned out better than I Wanted. Not expected. Better than I Wanted. Talk about delight! Fresh basil was used that offered an excellent accent to the roasted tomatoes that were cut to a convenient size so that the tomato wasn't overwhelming or hard to fit in a casual bite. Generous portion of avocado - I think they used a whole avocado that made me gush with joy. The beetroot hummus was lightly spread so that the quality fresh bread wasn't soggy and the focus of the dish was truly the avocado and roasted tomatoes. The corn, poached egg, radish, and basil were excellent complements that extended the heavenly taste. And that halloumi. Can never go wrong with halloumi. Now that cheeky chai. Had with (bon)soy. One of the best chais I've had, hands down. I literally scraped every last bit of my plate AND every last bit of my pot of chai tea because every last bit could not be wasted. I wish I was a bigger girl with a truly bottomless pit so that I could eat Goblin' delicious food forever. Like nonstop. I'm now obsessed. Please go. Have a food orgasm. You're welcome.

This is an Eastern European inspired/infused cafe. Meaning that the food here is great. If you don't know what Eastern European food is like, trust me, it is meaty goodness. Now, they also serve the stock standard breakfast and sandwiches, but don't shy away from the different - as that is the best thing about eating here. The Corn fritters here are great! But don't go past the huevos rancheros, seriously worth the try. The coffee here is good, not great, but good. But this is not the reason that you come - you come here for the food. Now, the space is small, so you might have to wait. Or just get take away. They do a special if you order one of their rolls (get it is with the spiced tomatoe sauce) and coffee takeaway, so that is always an option.
