I had cappucino, and my wife went with latte. Both beautifully done. Then we shared a fresh squeezed oj. Perfect. My acai bowl had fresh fruit, granola, and shredded coconut over icey acai. This had nice balance, not too sweet, and healthy as all get out. (Where did that expression come from?) My wife chose brushetta with halved cherry tomatoes, over avocado toast. There was a side of hulami cheese which benefitted from a lemon juice dousing. This was a super savory way to start our day. We loved everything. read more

My husband and I tried to come by for Sunday breakfast, but despite Facebook, Yelp and Google showing a 8 or 8:30am Sunday opening, it was decidedly closed. Despite this, we came back for a weekday breakfast and it was definitely worth the wait. The restaurant was operating a 2-man crew - one person running the to go coffee and till, and the other cooking solo. It was an impressive division of responsibilities as they continued to pump out quite a bit of food and coffee for both dine in and take away orders. Anyway we ordered the Frenchie toast, the full Brekkie (hey, I'm pregnant and eating for 2!), a long black and an almond milk latte. Honestly everything was delicious. The brekkie was a TON of food but the poached eggs were perfect, everything was very fresh and flavorful. This place has so many options for coffee so it's a coffee lovers dream! Also amazing breakfast options. So unique. They have several coffee options in the back. First one seems to be American coffee. Second one I got and was good. Third is French press which I assume most know. Third is a cold option- maybe a cold brew? We also got to go the day before and their Nutella latte and cold brew are good. However, the issue I had is the girls working there have no clue about the coffee. The owner was there and seemed to know but he needs to educate his staff. They had no clue how to answer any of my coffee questions. The breakfast was phenomenal and so unique. The non bread lover breakfast was so good with fresh salmon and the fritter was amazing! My hubby loved his French toast. Wasn't too heavy but came with ice cream and banana and berries and coconut on top! Yum! Highly recommend just make sure to ask the owner about any questions. read more

A nice cosy cafe with good food and coffee. We stopped in around 9am on a Wednesday and was able to get a table but it was busy, there also was a constant crowd outside waiting for takeaway coffees. My Bacon Bennie was good but also fell flat in bits, my eggs had cooked through and the bacon didn't taste great. My wife's Breakfast Bruschetta was great, good runny eggs and nice flavour. The cappuccino and Nutella mocha were good, I can understand the crowd out front. Service was mixed, just 2 wait staff running all the tables so it was understandable they were distracted but still pleasant and we weren't waiting long for most things. Overall a nice spot to sit and have some brekkie but didn't blow my socks off. read more

My husband and I ordered too much food! I got the brekki plate which was a really big portion. And he got 2 eggs your way and a croissant. Oh and we got hot chocolate. The good was great and fresh! The food was very tasty, and well presented. The prices were a little steep for breakfast (most items were $10+), but the portion size was good and everyone in my group left feeling full. I ordered the Go Bananas, and requested bananas on top instead of strawberries and they happily obliged. The service was quite good here; the people are nice. They also have free wifi! You just have to ask. Seating is both outdoor and indoor. If you eat there, you sit down and someone takes your order. If you take away, you order at the counter like you would at a typical coffee shop. Breakfast is served all day, but they also have a lunch menu. I would recommend to individuals or small groups! Motown coffee brewers are located in the cbd and have a great set up for takeaway coffees. You order inside and then there is a separate waiting area outside where coffees are passed out the window. This also makes the vibe more pleasant for those eating in making sure the cafe is not crowded with people waiting for takeaway. My next favourite thing is the little complimentary treat you get on top of your coffee - this varies from biscuits, wafers or anything else on offer that day. The selection of sweets and baked goods are presented beautifully and I'd look forward to sitting in to enjoy more of their menu. read more

Such a cute little spot. I love how it almost feels completely outdoors but isn't (glass all around and doors wide open). Nice cafe near Lang Park in Wynyard. The cafe is quite busy which is a good sign. It has a deck that looks out over the neighborhood which is a bustling street. We went for breakfast and coffee. The staff were busy and we sat at a table that had to be cleared from the previous customers. That was fine considering it was busy. I had to ask to get some water and when we got it it was warm and only half full this was the only downside of our time here. We got a couple of lattes which were quite good as indicated by the people lined up waiting for takeaway coffee. Breakfast was very nice we shared the breakfast bruschetta and added sides of poached eggs and bacon. The bruschetta was sourdough with an avocado, red onion, spinach, tomato and balsamic glaze.
