The meats here in Italy are so fresh and lack the preservatives that are packed into the products we get in the US. Everything here is locally sourced and you can taste the difference. Yes, it is a 20 mins walk from the City Center, down hill, but if you want to take a break in the middle of the day you will lost precious time going up and down in cabs. They're not crazy expensive--15-20 euros, but over a few days it does add up. The time lost though is the worst of it. Most importantly though--there is just ONE restaurant. It serves good food, but it's a very limited menu that doesn't change. Plus, it's overpriced for what you're getting. I recommend staying here for a maximum of two nights. One would be the right amount though. Also, only if you're not going to the Tuscan countryside. The staff are very polite and friendly--but it doesn't make up for how pricey the experience. FYI -- room service has a 25 euro surcharge.
