My husband and I were in Florence for 10 days. We stayed in the City Center for 5 and Villa Tolomei…read morefor 5-much longer than needed. I recommend only staying here if you're visiting Florence and aren't about to visit the Tuscan country side. Yes, it is a 20 mins walk from the City Center, down hill, but if you want to take a break in the middle of the day you will lost precious time going up and down in cabs. They're not crazy expensive--15-20 euros, but over a few days it does add up. The time lost though is the worst of it. Most importantly though--there is just ONE restaurant. It serves good food, but it's a very limited menu that doesn't change. Plus, it's overpriced for what you're getting. I recommend staying here for a maximum of two nights. One would be the right amount though. Also, only if you're not going to the Tuscan countryside.
The staff are very polite and friendly--but it doesn't make up for how pricey the experience.
FYI -- room service has a 25 euro surcharge.
