Food is good but staff aren't at all, very slow and clumsy and I got charged an extra £2. That's on top of very expensive prices.

LOVE Must-Dash! Not only is it super cute with its mustache…read moretheme, but its waffles are DELICIOUS! its only £ 3 for a waffle with ALL the toppings you want! Fresh fruit, nutella, chocolate, marsh mellows, and squishie cream! DELICIOUS the women that run the place are SO nice! We love going there! and if you want to share a waffle ( i can never eat a whole one!) they cut it half for you and let you chose different toppings for each half ! Best deal around for yummy treats! They have some warm wraps and stuff too but I have yet to try them , some of our friends say they are good though!

As far as I know, this is the only place in town that serves takeaway dessert waffles. They're really good. They're only £3 and you can get as many or as little toppings as you like. I tend to lean towards getting nutella with strawberries and maybe chocolate sauce. But they have multiple choices of fresh fruit and sweeties to go on top. I also had the chance to try out the chicken sandwich, which is arguably the best takeaway sandwich in town. It's real chicken breast with sauces and salad. I wasn't a huge fan of whatever cheese they used on top, but that may be a personal preference. There are a few seats inside and a bench outside, so if you mustn't dash, then you're in luck.

I applaud the idea of helping troubled folk by giving them a leg up onto the job market, but am…read moreslightly troubled that technically the staff must be earning less than minimum wage? The staff are eager to please, but perhaps a little too eager? We were approached by 3 different servers for our order before we'd decided. The menu is quite limited, sandwiches/paninis, a few specials and home baking. As a vegetarian my choice was even more limited. My mum asked about the soup, (she doesn't like it too thick) and they helpfully offered to let her taste it and brought a small amount in a cup for her, unfortunately she wasn't keen on it (stock cube taste) but I did order it, as part of the Soup and a Sandwich deal. She instead opted for the special, Avocado, bacon and asparagus salad. She loved it, raved about the dressing and the salad leaves, no bitter stringy rocket! Unfortunately my soup/sandwich was rather less satisfying, the soup was served in a tiny teacup, and my Cheese and Chutney was bog standard cheddar and bought Branston, it was also just half a sandwich, two tiny triangles. Not filling for an adult man, probably just right for the OAP crowd though. We both opted for dessert, neither of us being full. My lemon cake was delicious and a nice big slice, but my mum's local Gloagburn strawberries were a huge bowlful, topped with two full scoops of icecream. The toilets were a weird trek down into the basement and along a basement corridor filled with old junk and noticeboards etc. The portions need a bit of work, either too small, or too large, some consistency needed, but for the price and the community service they are providing it seems churlish to complain too much!

A lucky find for a quick lunch, the pastry was fantastic - really melt in your mouth. The oatcakes…read moreare unique too - crumbly and delicious.

The wine list is replete with moderately priced wines; honestly we would have been willing to pay more for a couple of even better alternatives, but I would not classify that as a complaint. Service was friendly and attentive and this restaurant is so eclectic and fun.

The wife ordered their "Fisherman" which is pan seared Scottish coley or pollock (for 27 GBP). The battered fish with the chips was more delicately done here and delicious. As an aside I tried several times to find a place here in Glasgow or in Edinburgh that did a "special" fish and chips, that is breaded with crumbs and not battered, but apparently no one does that healthier old school preparation anymore (and I need to inform my old work colleague who hailed from Glasgow and gave me this inside tip that it's not practiced anymore). I also had a Chieftain IPA. The side of peas were dryish and not flavorful and small portioned and not done as well and tasty as I have had in London or Perth, just saying. We also had their sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert and that was good. The fries were mediocre. Server was friendly and attentive. 4 stars overall and a nice local flavor Glasgow outing.
