We had a great time to have a brunch at Café Beaubourg. Wonderful outdoor seating with the French people watching right in front of the The Pompidou Centre. Street performance music at the background. We ordered the Formule Brunch: Fresh basket of French breads Fruits, salad, French fries (OMG! The fries in Paris are SOOOOO fresh & it has this bright yellow color that I never seen else where) Eggs (with choice of scramble or fried eggs). They do have English menu although not all of their waiters can speak English. Here I learned the French way to eat their bread: a thin layer of butter with jam. Tips: French butter is extraordinary delicious and they come in "half- salt". It's not like any of the butter you can taste in U.S. wish I can get those butter in US. :(

    Yum!

After I visited centre Pompidou, I looked for a quick lunch, and I found this café. My family and I were immediately seated to a nice outside street view seating, in front of Pompidou. We ordered a plain cheeseburger, a plain bacon cheeseburger, and a coffee with barley. Before our orders, we received some bread and butter; my favorite. Then came our coffee, and in short it was the best coffee I ever had: a perfect combination of coffee and alcohol. Actually, how can coffee go wrong? Then came our burgers. When I took one look at them, I knew they were going to be the best burgers ever. I was right! The bun was extremely crispy and lightly toasted, the juicy patty was cooked just right, and the cheese was melted, but only to my enjoyment. Every bite felt like heaven; it was the best cheeseburger I ate in a while. The french fries which came with it were amazing too; they were thin and pleasant to eat. I definitely recommend this café and I don't understand why it's only 3stars!

Preparing for a full Sunday of exploring Paris, we put out the call for a solid brunch that would fuel our exploration. Fortunately, Beaubourg responded with a delicious and large meal in an enjoyable setting. There were two price fixe brunch menus. I opted for the smoked salmon, while my wife chose the sausage and ham. Both came with light and tasty scrambled eggs, A generous portion of potatoes, toast, and rolls. Oh yeah, there was also a fresh side Caesar salad (the real kind - tossed with anchovy paste and not 'dressing'). Juice and coffee are also included, all for ~€22. And, just to make sure one doesn't leave hungry - the dessert choice is either a fruit yoghurt parfait (labeled as white cheese) or a fruit cup. We had fun sitting outside and watching the crowds pass by the Centre Pompidou. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient. However, we did not feel the least bit rushed as we devoured our huge meal. Overall, a really nice experience I would be glad to repeat - or go back to try their supper menu.

This place is great for people-watching and a relaxing moment. Outside if warm, downstairs if cold, upstairs for more cozy cocktails. Nostrovia! Near the Pompidou Center for a great view. Expensive, food is good sometimes, especially for breakfast. Worth a look. '(¿)

On my first trip to Paris many years ago we stopped by Café Beaubourg twice for food and drinks. What stuck with me from that first visit were the homemade potato chips and overall 'scene' at the café. This time around there was less of a scene and not a chip on the menu. Nonetheless we had a fantastic, leisurely lunch highlighted by my ham sandwich sampler plate (think two kinds of grilled ham and cheese sandwiches cut into little triangles) and the site of a waifish French man single handedly attack a huge platter of profiteroles. Service is either painfully slow or wonderfully leisurely, depending on your definition and prices on the high side but I can think of few places I'd rather waste away an afternoon in Paris than Café Beaubourg.

Good lunch brasserie with a really nice view on the center George Pompidou. Perfect after or before an exhibition. Top on the smoothies and vegetables.

I couldn't tell if this was a real apple or some fancy French creation made to look like one - that's how real it looked! The mousse and apple bits were cold & delicious and the chocolate shell was good, but not sure if it was worth the price at €7.5. + Pain Au Chocolat Cookie - Verrrry good chocolate chip cookie, chocolate croissant mashup. Only thing that we were missing was some good ol' milk! + Almond Croissant - Once again, delicious! Solid croissant and definitely a good grab and go candidate. = Citronnade - Was just OK. Lemonade that was on the watered down side, but was somewhat refreshing because I was dying of thirst. THE SERVICE ----------------------- - Employee who helped us with our order was friendly, but the cashier was a bit blah and not exactly the friendliest person, especially when we asked for extra utensils and napkins. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ - Smallish, tight interior that you can dine in at, but don't be surprised if the next table is sitting on top of you. + There are also 5 outdoor tables on the narrow street. - Entrance is tight too. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- + Even though this bakery is ranked highly on Tripadvisor, there was no crowd on the Monday morning that we swung by. Line moved superfast.

We came here for some coffee on a rainy afternoon, but were pleasantly surprised to see escargot on the menu too and figured we'd give it a shot. Coffee wise we got the vienna coffee which had chocolate inside. It was good, with a nice espresso flavor and a huge dollop of whipped cream on top. A nice pick me up for the day. The escargot on the other hand, was so fantastic. They were served all cute in their little shells on a tray, and bubbling when we first got them. The green sauce that they came with was fantastic, and the butter was also a great addition! This made for such a flavorful little bite - escargots taste like little chewy clams to me, nothing strange at all. It also came with a few pieces of baguette to soak up the yummy sauce. Service was friendly and the inside of the restaurant has such a nice vibe. I would definitely recommend this spot!

Eventually, we were seated at a counter facing out the front window. Personally, I was disappointed that the offering here is nearly all Buckwheat Galettes and Sweet Crépes. They have a clean bathroom upstairs, you'll just need to climb the staircase. We ordered the strawberry crepe and duck and asparagus galette bretonne. So there's actually a bit of a difference between a crepe and a galette. Crepes are usually sweet and made with wheat flour, while galettes are usually savory and made with buckwheat flour. Between the two, I enjoyed the strawberry crepe more, the strawberry jam made the crepe a delicious sweet treat. The flavors of the galette weren't as satisfying to my tastebuds, but I still enjoyed it. I would be interesting in trying other galette flavors next time. While my expectations weren't fully realized (I didn't LOVE it), I still enjoyed giving Breizh Cafe a try. We didn't visit enough crêperies on this trip, so it's something I look forward to doing the next time I'm back in Paris!
